Submitted By: Mrs K JonesWe arrived at Mcarren airport and checked in opposite the baggage carousel and received our room keys and even purchased round trip transfers for $19 for both of us. I booked the hotel in July separately to the flights, which were a booked in June. The hotel's website has some great offers, so keep an eye out, we missed out on an offer for The mirage so this was the next best thing. www.mgmgrand.com
The pool was amazing it had 4 pools and a lazy river with waterfalls etc, there were several pool bars and a place to eat beside the pool. You show your room key for towels and there is no need to fight over loungers as there are plenty. They even offered massages at the poolside. Don't expect to walk out of your room and end up at the pool, we were on the 12th floor and there was at least 5-7min walk to the pool through the corridor down the elevator through part of the casino then through the mall. Well worth the walk though.
There were 3 Starbucks on site and plenty of other takeaways, the restaurants were all exceptional and plenty of choice. We tried somewhere different every day. We liked the Grand buffet for breakfast and dinner never tried it for lunch. We looked out onto Hooters and Tropicana and the airport, which was really amazing, in the past I've looked onto the strip but every view is cool as long as its Vegas. Centrifuge bar was cool, with the bar tenders dancing on the bar. The only restaurant I did not like was Rainforest Cafe I've been to the one in Orlando lots of times and thought I'd try it in Vegas, however the service was not the same. We seen Cirque Du Soleils KA (on Site) and Zumanity (18+ a must see across the rd in NY-NY).
Loved the shops its shoe and bag heaven in Vegas with all the shops, we enjoyed the miracle mile although The Forum Shops are better and The Fashion Show Mall. We tried the NY deli in The Mirage Carneagie I think its called and it was cool, they do a 1lb of corned beef (its not our rubbish corned beef) in a sandwich and the all day breakfast is cool "big portions", the cheesecake is a must too.
We are going back with our 4 yr old next August as there was plenty for her to do and see.

Submitted By: Miss K WilliamsThe lazy river was ideal as the av. temp was 115 with 3% humidity!! The casino was good too, we were not big gamblers, but it catered for everyone.
Our room in the Grand tower was very spacious and really clean. We asked for a high room and it overlooked the airport which was not bad as you still had mountain views!
The restaurants are quite pricey but we ate in Emerils which was fab and quite reasonable when you compare to what you would pay in England for that level of quality.
Do the CBS survey as you get buy one get one free vouchers for Nathans and Hagaan Daaz.
I would definitely stay here again, it is quality!

Submitted By: Mr P L HumphreysAll the staff were very friendly around both the hotel and the casino! We saw the Cirque du Soleil show "Ka" at our hotel, and it was the most amazing show I have ever seen; technically brilliant!
Obviously, there are countless bars, clubs, restaurants, casinos and shows throughout Las Vegas and we didn't have a single bad experience! I would recommend it to anyone, and I can't wait to go back!
We also took an excursion to the Grand Canyon, which really has to be seen to be believed; preferably before it gets turned into a resort! The holiday would have got a 10, but I docked it a point as there were no clubs on the strip that played rock music!

Submitted By: dlmhowellThe hotel is so big it takes forever to escape, which can be annoying after a couple of days.
Hotel room had the latest technology, including a plasma TV in the bathroom mirror! The room was immaculately clean and the bed was so comfortable.
The pool area was very exclusive. Plenty of bars and restaurants within the hotel to suit all price ranges.
The MGM is certainly situated at the best end of The Strip at present since there is a lot of building work at the other end. MGM has access to the monorail which is better than the surrounding hotels.
Did expect the MGM to have more of a movies theme to it though. The Paris and New York hotels are much better themed inside, making you feel as if you really are in those cities.
Would definitely recommend the Outback Steak House half way down The Strip and a trip up The Stratosphere tower at night to see the Vegas lights.
Took at great helicopter trip over Grand Canyon which must be done whilst you are so close. Went to watch the Vegas Dodgers v Salt Lake City baseball match at the Cashman Field which was great entertainment.
Definitely recommended visit.

Submitted By: Miss C DaltonThe Signature hotel is MGM grand's private hotel (only guests can get in) which is situated off strip behind a gated entrance.
The hotel has 3 very high towers (only two have been completed) but this didn't cause us any problems at all.
All the bedrooms are suites, which are very spacious and have everything you could possibly need. There was even an ipod docking station!
The bathrooms are very spacious, massive showers and Jacuzzi baths, with his and hers sinks and a TV to watch.
Also included within the room is a kitchenette area so if you prefer to cook you can. I would definitely recommend room service though, not too badly priced and the food is excellent and the service was second to none.
All in all the Signature is an excellent hotel to stay at, it's quiet because it doesn't have a casino of its own, and so you can get away from the hustle and bustle of the main strip hotels.
The MGM grand is only a short walk and the hotels are linked via moving walkways, so you have the best of both worlds.
This was our second time in Las Vegas and we love it just as much, if I went again I wouldn't think twice about staying at The Signature.
Although I would also think about staying off the strip at Fremont Street, the casinos have more character. The light show is amazing and if you're staying over Christmas and New Year you will have a fabulous time. The shows are brilliant.
Las Vegas is Fantastic, highly recommended, although it's such an exhausting place, we definitely needed a week to recover from it when we got back home.

Submitted By: Ms C A WilliamsThe hotel was at the end of the strip but there is a mono rail station at the hotel and the other hotels are well worth the walk!(we found all the restaurants on the strip of a high standard and very cheap-10-15 dollars for a fantastic eat as much as you like evening meal.)The hotels itself has lions, a theatre and of course plenty of gambling!
The swimming pool is fabulous and well worth a visit. The gym and spa are also fab but too expensive for me! We went to the Grand Canyon, via one of the tour sellers near the hotel-that was truly amazing and once in a life time experience not to be missed.

The hotel contained loads of different restaurants and an excellent buffet- for $15 per person you could eat as much as you wanted of all varieties.
The room was lovely, clean and spacious! The hotel also has great shows to see - when I was there it was Tom Jones and Cirque du Soleil. The hotel casino was first class - but always make sure that you can always prove that you are over 21! The hotel also has a lion enclosure.

Overall I would love to go back and cannot recommend this hotel enough!

The hotel is also located on the famous Las Vegas Strip- if you are going to Las Vegas I would definitely recommend a hotel on the strip as this is where all the action is such as musicals, comedy acts and concerts. The hotel itself was superb with lovely furnishings and helpful attentive staff. The hotel has several different restaurants and a famous all you can eat grand buffet, which is great value for money.

The hotel also has several concerts and shows and offers Grand Canyon tours which are pricey but no more than at the other hotels. Additionally it has a lion enclosure containing 3 lions, which is good to watch. The casino was superb with a whole range of games with free drinks continually brought to you by the waitresses.

One word of warning- always carry your passport on you in the casino as if you look under 25 they want proof that you are over 21 due to casino gaming laws! I cannot recommend this hotel enough and will definitely return!

Submitted By: Ms D WhiteWhen looking at the map its near the bottom of the strip, and don’t get me wrong that strip is huge, however we still found the location fantastic to get from top to bottom.
When you walk in prepared to be amazed it has the largest check in lobby I have seen in my life!
The rooms a beautiful, bathrooms glamorous, we felt like stars
The casino was spacious and airy, unlike some other hotels, and the waitress service was very good.
The restaurants and this hotel has loads, were all fantastic as was the shopping area
Highlight has to be the lions, you can sit and eat breakfast, or play the machines whilst watching them play or you can pay to have your picture taken with a lion cub.
There is also security on the lifts of a night time so non residents cant go wandering from the casino into the hotel which is really comforting.
The pool area is amazing especially the long river you can drift down.
I would highly recommend this hotel.

Submitted By: Mrs L WoodThis is the biggest Hotel I have ever seen and was always buzzing with life 24 hours a day.
We got married whilst in Vegas and had our family staying at the Hotel with us. We stayed in the Emerald Tower block and our family just in standard rooms and I would recommend upgrading the rooms as ours was much bigger and with nicer furnishings. Although because of the size of the hotel and because they were in a different part of the Hotel it took literally 15 minutes to get to there room.
All of the rooms had a fabulous view of the strip. Our room looked directly out to the New York New York.
Plenty of restaurants with in the Hotel. The Rainforest Cafe was out of this world with real Parrots at the entrance.
Swimming pool was fantastic and always plenty of sunloungers to go around.
All sorts of celebs stay at this Hotel as well. We walked past a member of boy band N'Sync in the casino. Apparently Studio 54 is always full of celebs as well.
Getting around Vegas is easy from this Hotel. There was a tram stop outside the Hotel which takes you all the way to other end of the strip we but equally enjoyed walking along the strip. All hotels are out of this world and there is such a contrast from each one.
MGM was really close to the airport and once we had got on the shuttle bus we were at the Hotel within minutes.
Absolutely loved this place and saving hard to go back again one day. Would probably stay at another Hotel, not that there was anything wrong with the MGM but just because they are all so different. Also although we were there for a week we still didn’t get to see and do everything we wanted.
