AC Tarragona

After two days in the bustle of Barcelona Tarragona if a beautiful gem, complete with historical interest, just over an hour by train. I booked the AC via TravelRepublic for an absolute discount price for 2 people 2 nights, bed and breakfast for just over £50. Cheap or what! I really feared what the hotel would be like but was totally amazed when I was shown into a room complete with SuperKing sized bed and a free mini bar (soft drinks obbviously, they weren't that generous or stupid come to that). First, we needed to park our car in their garage...And I almost had a fit trying to park it in the tiniest garage(shoe box) I have ever seen in my whole life (and we have traveled to Japan...)...Needless to tell you I drive a 207 and not a beemer or a Mercedes Benz...Because I would have had to split it in two to fit it in... The walls are all covered with some type of mattress /thick cover because other drivers probably banged on all the walls before they managed to squeeze their cars in...The worst thing is they charge you 12 euros... more

This is an Hotel wortn the price you will pay in Tarragona. The location is close to the bus station so when you will arive from the airport (Barcelona) you will just walk 100 m. It is not on the water front, it is on the opposite site of the ramblas, but Tarragona is not a big city. It is abit off the tourists locations but this is probably a plus. Mostly bisiness people during week days. Reccomended.

This hotel is in the city centre but very quiet. We felt that it was excellent value for money and the room was modern with air con, a huge bathroom and had lots of big comfy pillows. The hotel also had a gym and Turkish baths. The only downside was that the parking was pretty expensive 17€ per night.

Very nice hotel, difficult to find because there is no indication anywhere on the streets, helpful staff, excellent breakfast of good quality, room clean and comfortable. In general a good business stay even though we were on vacation.

pretty enough in a modern way and very new BUT, you could not get a drink before 8:30 pm and there is no bar, only a restaurant that was not even open on Sat. and Sun. night because as we were told, some services shut down on the weekend since it is a business hotel primarily. No restaurant meant no room service as well. Would have been good to know in advance.

We stayed in the AC Hotel for 3 nights. We thought it was in an excellent location - just a short walk from the Rambla Nova, the market, shops, restaurants and old town. The room was decorated in typical AC style - very tastful and minimalistic. Both the room and bathroom were a good size and very comfortable. The room had a free minibar (softdrinks) and you could also get drinks from reception (I think when the restaurant/bar is closed). When we went into the room we only had 2 hangers in the wardrobe but reception quickly... more

Great hotel and value! Rooms were very spacious for european standards. Fitness Center was great.

New modern style hotel, friendly staff. Good clean room, everything working and a free minibar. Breakfast was good, probably the same in every standard AC hotel. Would go back to this hotel.

This is a brand new hotel and everything looks very modern. The rooms were nice and comfortable, the service was very nice and the price (65 Euros on weekends and 95 Euros on weekdays) was hard to beat for the busy summer season. The only complaint we had was that our sheets and towels were not changed daily, but when we mentioned it at the front desk they quickly took care of us. The location is not as good as the Hotel Lauria which is in the middle of La Rambla Nova right near el Balcon del Mediterraneo. however my friend... more
