Kanali Aparthotel

omg this is the best hotel ever!! it is fab!! the apartments are clean big and the views are great!!! you have all your cooking facilities! the resturant is lush and the service spot on! we have stayed here twice and my mam is thinking of going back again!! you have the beach right next to you with the caves and coves and it is lush!! when you arrive jenni who is from england meets you and takes yur suitcases up!! shes so friendly!! you are only a short walk away from the resturants hops pubs and clubs but on a night you cant here anything so you can have a peaceful night sleep!! the entertainment in the hotel is good like the greek nights and that. all i can say about this hotel is that it is aboustly brilliant!!! and would recommend it to anyone!! thers not a bad word to say about it!!! FAB!!

Just returned from a wonderful week at the Kanali, we stayed in a Studio which was a good size and had great views out to sea. The Aquarius Restaurant does lovely home cooked Greek dishes and a fabulous English Breakfast in the morning. A special mention to Jenni who runs the apartments she is an absolute gem, she picked us up at the bottom of the lane and from that moment she was like an old friend we had come to visit. Restaurants we enjoyed were Simposio, Sea Breeze and of course the Aquarius run by Spiros and dishes cooked by his mum. I would have no hesitation in recommending these apartments.

As previously mentioned, the rooms are of an excellent standard with good facilities. They are cleaned every day, and fresh towels every 2-3 days I believe. The pool is lovely and usually very quiet and just a stones throw from the beaches and beautiful coves. You are sufficiently far enough from the busy town centre, but close enough if you should wish to venture in. Be warned, it's full of souvenir shops and people trying to get you into their restaurants and bars. All of the restaurants are of a good standard and can’t complain about the food at all. Trips are very cheap if you buy them locally and good value for money. Jeni, Spiros and the rest of the staff at the Kanali Apartments and Aquarius restaurant are lovely! If you have a family then this place is perfect, I can definitely see why people come back year after year. Some people complain about the mozzies, but if you are sensible they are no more of a problem then anywhere else. Recommended!

The apartments over look the canal d amour area of sidari. The resort of sidari we thought was rather cheap and tacky looking, however, the canal d amour is a very pretty area with breathtaking views. The apartment was a two bedroom on the second floor of a three storey building. The balcony was large with breathtaking views of the canal d amour area. There is a swimmng pool and a bar resturant called the Aquarius attached to the apartments and owned by the same people. The food was lovely and the service excellent. The waiters were also very friendly. The manager Jenni is very helpful and will do her utmost to ensure you have a enjoyable stay. She also has her own coffee shop on the road into sidari that sells lovely cakes. The beach is narrow with dark sand and is surrounded by large cliffs. The apartment itself was spacious, but did have a lot of ants. The weather was very hot, too hot for me. The tour we did was a day trip to corfu town, which had a few stalls and shops in narrow streets that were fine for browsiing. Its better and cheaper to arrange tours with the agents in the resort rather than through the holiday companies that are more expensive. We all enjoyed out holiday, as Corfu is a lovely island, though becoming quite commercialised. I would not go to Sidari again.

We weren't able to go to the Kanali last year, only because we couldn't get time off !! We had been for five years running and never before the Kanali had we been back anywhere. Nothing is too much trouble for Jeni, Spiros and Peri; they are a delight - so friendly and helpful. Food at the Aquarius is second to none, the rooms are spotless and it's a great base - near enough to walk into the town, but away from the noise. Please don't all go when I want to, otherwise it will be oversubscribed by 10000000% !!! Enjoy - how can you not ?

Great welcome - met off the coach by Jeni, who drove us and our luggage to the door and then booked us in. Rooms comfortable and spotless - sea views amazing. Food in restaurant excellent - home-cooked Greek dishes a must-try! Did have to request additional heating for room due to slightly inclement weather (last week of the season) but this appeared within a couple of hours - nothing was too much trouble. Definately recommended - thanks again Jeni, Spiros and all for a great holiday.

well where do i start!!! i cannot fault the kanali apartments(not actually called aparthotel and the picture on top of the page is not of the real kanali,is a pic of a villa with the same name) heres my review but to save you time reading it if you dont want to the basis is A+/ 4*/cant be beaten!!! ROOMS-nice and spacious,2 bedroom apartments,both bedrooms have 2 bedside cabinets,dressing table with stool and v large mirror,tv with news channel,weather channel and a movie channel(jenny plays movies throughout the day),above bed lamps,above mirror lamp and central light. large double patio doors leading out to a lovely patio with table,chairs and 2 washing lines along each adjioning grate between apartments. the view from the patio is,well,stunning!! the beautiful sea,cliffs and albania!!!! kitchen more than enough,plenty of dishes etc,nice size and kitchen table and chairs.bathroom,again,v nice. tiled,more than enough storage space and lovely shower,can be hot or cold,hard or soft and never failed to work. more clothes storage in the hall,large wardrobe,hangers and 2 v large drawers, air con is at extra charge but jenny will activate it for you for couple of days to try before you buy!! but you will buy!!!!!and she is well aware people leave there electronic keyring in the slot to keep air con on all the time but has no prob with this.(it should realy remain attatched to your room key and activates electric and air con once your in) POOL-much bigger than the first choice brochure or on line pics show!!!!! is so clean,well kept and lovely and cool(little cold at 10 am but then when its alredy 34 degrees who cares how cold the water is!!!)more than enough loungers around pool and on grassed area which we found little nicer as you dont get splashed, and plenty of parasols too. you can leave your towel drying on your lounger for hours without worries,altho there is reserving allowed you really do not need too!!! GROUNDS-beautiful!!!!!so well looked after and if your awake v early you may even catch the gardener or cleaners doing they're daily weed check!!!! the cleaners sweep and clean patio's every morning and empyy and clean ashtrays as well as sweep surrounding areas. FOOD-well spiros's teverna!!!! the most delicious food,huge menu,good prices(not cheapest but not much in it really) the service is outstanding!!! jenny,bless her,helps out in the evening,they will always,eve or lunch,accomodate your party,no matter what the size,they all have so much time for you,even tho they're so busy.the taverna is pool side,and if you go in and ask for anything,tea,sandwich,slush,no matter what it is,no matter how small the order they will not allow you to carry it out to the pool if thats where you are,its part of they're service to you to bring it to your lounger. and this is not done for tips,i cant state that enough!!!! PEOPLE- no down to the reason this is such a great place!!! JENNY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! she is one of a kind!! after 2 days there we were all amazed how at home we felt,it was as if we'd been there weeks!she is a selfless woman,run completely off her feet and always rushing backward and forwards but never ever goes past you,poolside or not without haveing a chat and making sure your totaly happy!!! you dont need a rep(which is good cos ours was useless,only saw her once!!)jenny knows EVERYTHING!! best beach,best trip organiser,best resturants,clubs,where to find all the different activities,no matter how onscure the question or request jenny can sort it for you!! we all loved jenny,even my teenage boys,she was so natural and really did feel like an old frien. and she's such a saint,on top of all that she does she runs a dog re-homing and care charity!!!! SPIROS,COSTA and guys at the taverna-as said before unbeatable service abd friendlyness,costa would very gingerly skoot past my hubby and boys in fear of getting pushed in the pool,once safe he'd turn back and cheekily laugh at them!!always haveng a giggle yet allways treating you so much with respect. you must eat at the taverna on thurs,theres a brill greek night where unlike most others you acyually get to join in the dabcing AND do the plate smashing!!! was a great night!!! i must add that if you ever want any food,lunch of dinner,they will gladly if you want, deliver it to the room for you!!!! as you can tell this was the most wonderfull holiday,and mainly becouse when the place you stay is so amazing,the rest falls in to place!!! i must say do try THE TWO BROTHERS restuarant!! it is by far the best place to eat and sam is so funny and so friendly,also great for spending the day as the pool is great,jaquizza,nets,diving board etc is the amadeus bar,lovely lunches,large and cheap!!!! another good place to eat is the face bar,so good and great value,chocolate fondue is lurvely!!!! all in all if your going to sidati i'd advise you go stay with jenny,2 weeks sc cost us bout 450 each and was more than worth it. if we return, would never stay anywhere else !!!!! happy holidays

We went on holiday to the Kanali based upon recommendations from other holiday makers who had already been to the Kanali. Jeni and Spiros and all the staff made us feel really welcome, and the apartment complex has a tremendous seaview and lots of activites close by for older kids paragliding, banana boat and so on. We went scuba diving to Ipsos well worth the trip, but much cheaper to book with local travel agent in Sidari than tour company rep. Kanali has it's own swimming pool next to the taverna and lots of sunbeds, and a small pool for the little ones so you can really relax while the kids have fun. We received a Christmas card which was a nice touch, so I will include contact details if anyone wants them. I would definitely return there on holiday, and most of the people we meet had also been there many times on holiday, so if you want to go be warned there is only about 28 apartments and studios so it tends to get booked up quickly. Fantastic, excellent. Was there for the first time this summer (June 2004) and had the best time ever. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we had a great holiday. Jenni, Spiros and the team are lovely, friendly helpful people. The apartments are well equipped, very clean and comfortable. The food at the Aquarius Taverna was excellent. So good, that we didn't eat anywhere else and the views were fabulous too. We are booked up to go back again in Summer 2005 and are really looking forward to it.
