I read the reviews before i went about friendly staff? where were they?? watch out for the air conditioning police !!! no clean sheets all week !!! pay for an extra night and dont get it !!! and god forbid you dont leave your room by 12 you will get pushed and then punched in the face from stavros the owner !!!!! the only plus is the beach !!! i was absolutly discusted !!!! would never go back

u get wat u pay for . i first came here a couple of yeats ago and spent most of my time by the pool or on the beach. the only time u really use ur room in a resort like this is to get ready and sleep. i came back this year and had even better time. its a great location and the only fault i had was that the transfer dumped us in the middle of the road the first time we went. but by the second time we knew exactly where we were going so it was fine. the breakfast is cheap, its not 5star but remember your not paying 5 star prices.plus the service was good.
im a travel agent and ive stayed in some dumps and in some lovely places. but this hotel just did exactly ewhat it said on the tin

We have just come back from the most amazing holidayy! we just had one complaint and that was our room!! You get clean towels and bedding once a week - dont even approach the cleaner as she is not the friendliest of people. We arrived and the room was filthy especially the floor. The shower was rubbish, it was a miracle is you could get a dribble of water out of that thing. I got charged 20 euros for the tiniest of makeup stains on a bed sheet which already had ciggarette burns. Only thing which was good was the location, right on the beach and a couple of minutes away from the strip!

We arrived at the apartments expecting it to be a dump, somewhere to just crash every night but to our delight it exceeded our expectations, the staff are great always remember your name and have great banter with you, the food was good the rooms were clean and not trampy. The apartments are situated in an awesome location 2 minute walk from supermarkets all the restaurants and the strip starting from the barn(great place to go) right up to atlantis which is a fun walk when your drunk with your mates and everyone trying to get you into their bars/clubs. you can literally walk out the back of the pool/bar area basically onto the beach its great, loads of atmosphere round the pool and at the bar if your there with the right people, its open to all the public as well so you get loads around the pool so its not a ghost town. Overall its a greta place to stay and i would go back anyday!

We have just come back our 10day stay at Stavros Apartments. It is unbelievable how close the beach is to your apartment door which was fantastic. The rooms were very basic but they were cleaned every day. Be aware the maids will not let you sleep in ha ha!!!!!! You have to ask for the towels and the bed linen to be changed. We would stay there again. x ;)

Having booked a very late deal and checking some of the reviews about this hotel, I can honestly say how this hotel, the staff and Kavos exceeded our expectations. The hotel was clean and friendly newly painted and very tidy. Location brilliant away from all the hustle and bustle and on the beachfront. Stavros and his wife really went out of their way to make sure you had a good holiday, food was lovely and very fresh cooked by Stavros's wife. John who works behind the bar was so friendly and funny nice to meet a geniune nice guy.
We are already thinking of booking again for next year, what more can I say...........

This place was completely unfaultable! I went with 3 other girls, all 17, for our first girls holiday away and it was amazing. We had a two bedroom studio with a kitchen and bathroom. Both rooms were spacious with their own terraces, (the rooms on the floors above had balconys), with two single beds in each and lots of wardrobe space. The apartment was cleaned everyday and although basic, the only trouble we came across was that our hob didnt work in the kitchen, but we didnt need it anyway! The pool was lovely, with lots of free sunbeds, and it was right on the beach where sunbeds cost 2 euros per day. There was food served all day til 10pm, and the food was great. The family that run the place were lovely, as was the barman, who all made sure we had a great time. The strip was a 5-10min walk away and there are loads of places to eat within a 2 min walk. There are safety deposit boxes which are free for everyone, which we kept our passports and money in. All of us want to go back next year, for much longer...it was completely unfautable! The bars are open til 4ish then a few clubs are open til 8am where loads of people stay to watch the sunrise. Definitely worth going to!! Be careful what u choose to do from the reps, they try to get u to do things that arnt always worth the money, plus u wont want to be out all nite and get up at 10am to go on a tour of corfu! We went on the booze cruise which was a wicked day out for 40euros.

Having read the reviews on here we were a little sceptical about what to expect when we arrived at stavros. Having been there now I'm back on here to do the place justice! We were a group of 8 girls.
So first of all, location. This was perfect for us, right on the beach and a few minutes walk from the strip but not too close that you had all the noise.
Accomodation: basic - but not in the 'shower that may or may not run hot, burnt bed sheets way' more in the 'clean bed, clean shower, everything clean and working, fridge, kettle, hob, etc.' way.
Facilities: sun loungers all around the pool and on the beach, plenty of beach balls, a pool table, a table tennis table, VERY clean pool, extremely friendly barman, lovely stretch of beach, all food cheap and fresh (for example eggs are delivered every morning from the local organic farm, full english breakfast 3.50 euros), good cocktails with proper spirits , safety deposit boxes, air conditioning (40 euros for the week, we didnt take it)
Hospitality: Hotel is pretty much family run by Stavros, staff went well out of their way to make sure that we had a brilliant time in Kavos. A few of us were ill, but we were well taken care of. On our last proper night Stavros organised a bbq and taught us greek dancing which was quite something.
Olympic: beware of all the stuff the rep tries to sell you on the first day, with the exception of the trinity tickets, you can find it alot cheaper elsewhere.
Anyway, whatever has happened to previous Stavros visitors the hotel has clearly improved vastly, there is not a single thing I could fault about it and I don't know anyone who didn't have an AMAZING time.

Unless you get put in a "newer" room they are not very nice at all!
My best friend and I went for a week-we are in our twentys and were expecting it to be basic, which it definatly was! The bathroom sometimes had a sewage smell, was very 70's style. limited toilet roll!
One of the beds you could hardly call a matress- just a bed of springs! and the sheets had burn holes in them.
You get a hob thing with 2 rings which took ages for anything to warm up.
I really don't recommend staying here, we new greece was basic but this was a joke, one time we came back from being on the beach to find our room had been left open by the maid (who doesn't change your sheets at all in one week and you get 1 towell for the week- even though olympic say you get it changed once a week-they mean when you arrive you get new ones for the week)
The upsides were that it is close to the beach, which are 2Euros per bed per day.
The best bar by far is FRESH the men that run this are lovely, its a good place to get away from all the Chavs of Kavos clubs.
Tkd's is by far the best place to eat, the aussie staff are brilliant!!
I WOULDN'T STAY HERE AGAIN BUT....
If you are staying here and are looking at reviews, sorry if i have put you off, but they are livable make sure you take washing up liquid/ tee towel and basic things with you to make it more comfortable! oh and definatly take mozzy repelant- they are everywhere!!
