I stayed at the Seaview Country Club...
8 / 10
Jun 2007, Miss HG Gardner

I stayed at the Seaview Country Club for the first time In July last year. The only word that comes to mind when I’m summing up the hotel is fabulous.
The bedrooms are clean and well furnished, with great views over the sea or pool.
Everywhere in the hotel has air con (this includes the bedrooms) which worked well and creates a pleasant atmosphere to everyone visiting.
The pools are again very clean and provide a source of entertainment and refreshment to all ages. Adults and kids water polo is played throughout the day with the supervision of staff at the resort, furthermore an aerobics session is held every other day I think it is in the shallower end of the pool all free of charge.
There’s no need for getting up at 5.00am to grab a sunbed at the sea view as there are plenty to go around and plenty space to put them.
The staff at the hotel are amazing so kind and friendly and really helpful with whatever problems you may have. The hotel has a number of different activities for the kids such as the kid’s club discos, table tennis, a pool table ,air hockey and so on. There’s always something for you and the kids to do.
The pool bar is well stacked with numerous different choices to suit everybody’s needs and at a reasonable price. Same with the breakfast and evening buffet a wide range of choices and great staff to make your meal the best it can be.
Overall the sea view is a fantastic hotel to visit and I've already booked to go again.
I can’t wait and neither can the family. I recommend it to anyone looking for a family friendly relaxing holiday with great bonuses.

We had a sea view self catering room,...

Jun 2007, Mrs A Hannaford

We had a sea view self catering room, if we didn't have a sea view room I think I would have been a little disappointed.
The apartment was fantastic. The hotel itself was lovely, although if you don't have children, it probably wouldn't be the hotel for you, as it caters very much for young children.
I was a little disappointed with Port D'es Torrent, the beach was lovely, but the restaurants weren't up to much, there was a lot of building work going on in the town too.
It is only an hours walk round the bay to San Antonio, or there is a regular bus from the hotel or a water taxi from the nearby beach during the day, and even though we didn't go in at night, I was very impressed with the town, beach, bars, restaurants etc during the day.

This hotel was perfect for families...

Jun 2007, Miss J Nolan

This hotel was perfect for families and young couples like ourselves and had a wonderful holiday.
The entertainment was fabulous and was considered for all ages to enjoy, there is also a club inside the hotel if watching the entertainment isn’t your thing, along with the internet which is only 2 Euros for half an hour.
There is plenty of entertainment at the hotel so there isn’t really a chance that you would get bored.
Myself being 25 and my partner 32 very much enjoyed this holiday because if the clubbing scene got too much we would relax in the hotel for a change.
There is a lot of choice for food with tremendous buffets in the restaurant with plenty of snack bars around the huge pool, don’t worry the kids section of the pool is sectioned off so you don’t get splashed all the time.
Overall we rated this complex 10 out of 10 and enjoyed it that much we hope to return soon this year and the complex is kept clean 24/7 and rooms are issued with new towels etc everyday and is in walking distance of the supermarket, shops and San Antonio.

Jun 2007, Mrs D Bragg

Stayed here for 1 week, 2 adults, & 2 children. Definitely worth 4 star.
Facilities and entertainment for children very good, even though repetitive. Pool area spacious and more than enough sunbeds to go round and areas to sunbathe, so couldn't understand why some got up at 7am to put towels down.
Pool bar serves good quality snacks and meals at reasonable prices all day and night although service sometimes slow.
We upgraded for 1 day half board to try out the restaurant which I can only describe as adequate and was disappointed that drinks were not included and had to be purchased.
Rooms and the whole complex extremely clean and the staff worked very hard and always very pleasant. Would have liked a bit more info at welcome meeting about areas best to eat outside the hotel but all reps seemed interested in was selling excursions.
Other guests very friendly and we soon found out best places to go of an evening to eat. All in all, a very good holiday that I would recommend for anyone with children.

Early flight from Manchester arrived...

May 2007, Mrs L Ford

Early flight from Manchester arrived at Sirenis around 11.30, then had to wait 30mins for room to be ready.
Got to the apartment and spotlessly clean and overlooking the sandy bay. Beautiful view.
We have children 5 and 3 and they were entertained by the reps coming round regarding activities every 2hours. Lots to do. Evening entertainment repetitive mini disco/bingo every night.
Pool clean not much trouble getting sunbeds only if you wanted the front row. Kids stayed in pool or beach till 6 got ready left the complex then arrived back for 10pm with different shows every night. Usually the reps but can be funny. 2 outside acts 1 was brill and the other, don’t bother.
Supermarket just outside complex very expensive, but if you walk across the beach and up some stairs there is 2 very cheap supermarkets.
Would book again but looking at St Julian in Turkey for the next holiday. If you have young kids GO coz they were happy and that meant we were. NO STRESS.

We have gone to the Seaview for the...

Jan 2007, Mr M Gray

We have gone to the Seaview for the last 5 years and enjoyed it so much in previous years, we booked our 2007 holiday before we went this year.
The accommodation was to the normal high standard, the maids were great with all the customers especially the kid. The great thing about this complex is that many of the staff are there every year.
If you want to you can join the VIP club with many perks for all who return and its free and is meant as a thank you.
We go as a party of 7 ( 2x 60s me and the wife, 3 kids 10 to 13) and we all love it here.
For food we often eat our breakfast in the snack bar (even the management eat here), every other night we eat out so we can visit other parts of the island.
The only thing that lets this holiday down is Airtours poor service, once you are there it is hard to get them to deal with complaints. On the other hand the hotel staff go out off their way to help sort out any complaints.
If you don't mind a short walk across the beach and up the steps at the other side, you will find Elpasso mini mart where you will find all you juice, beer and wine is cheaper than the complex shops.
All in all we cant wait to go back in July 2007.

Dec 2006, Mr G Smith

We have been three times now in the last three years with our 4 & 6 year old boys.
The cleaners that work in the hotel should all have gold medals, with the rooms being cleaned spotless every day.
The entertainers were enthusiastic and kept the boys entertained (and ourselves too!).
The only thing that lets the hotel down is the price of the soft drinks in the bars. It costs more for a pint of lemon fanta than a pint of San Miguel.
Port Des Torrent was quiet as it was near the end of season but still everyone in the restaurants were superb, especially "Boucalla", half way along the main street on the right the staff there are brilliant with the kids and the food is superb.
We will certainly be back next year.

We stayed for 2 weeks in a one...
5 / 10
Nov 2006, SuziQ2708

We stayed for 2 weeks in a one bedroom self-catering apartment in the Sunflower house, which we found adequate for our needs. Although the kitchen was tiny, it was equipped with a fridge, combi microwave/grill, toaster, kettle and sufficient crockery/cutlery.
The fitted wardrobes in the bedroom contained a safe and were large enough for the 4 of us to unpack our clothes. We all found the beds rather hard and uncomfortable, but the maid came nearly everyday and made them for us. We had a very large balcony with side views of the sea.
The main hotel area was clean and nicely decorated, although being smokers the total no smoking ban was a little inconvenient to us at times. The entertainment room was set out in a military style and not inviting at all, as was the entertainment, so we didn't bother. Pool bar and area were ok and food not bad.
We were disappointed that the Seaview has not got a beach in front of the hotel. There is a small mall of shops and a cafe immediately outside the front of the hotel, although most had closed up for the season and the couple open were not very well stocked, but we managed.
San Antonia bay is just a 15 minute walk away with its many shops, bars and restaurants. We found a little cafe/bar called the Oasis just off the main strip down a side road to the left, well worth a visit if you yearn for some nice home-cooking. My husband loved the mega breakfast, being a fussy eater whilst abroad this deserves a mention!
On the whole, we enjoyed our 2 weeks and the weather was beautiful every day. From our experience of foreign travel, I would rate this hotel 3* not the 4* it currently boasts.
Port des Torrent does not have much to offer. As mentioned previously there is a small mall of shops immediately outside the Seaview and further up the road there is a little park. The beach is down a little lane, nothing too spectacular.
The coastal walk in to San Antonia is ok, the landscape is very rugged and this does spill over on to the pavement in places. There is some building work on route, although this did not affect our stay at the hotel.

We have just returned from our visit...
8 / 10
Oct 2006, Mrs G Qi

We have just returned from our visit to the Sirenis Seaview and can only say what a great hotel this truly is. I have a little boy of 21 months and was nervous to take him away for the first time. The hotel catered for us amazingly.
The children’s pool area is fantastic and the hotel was very conscious of hygiene, the rooms are everything you could ever need and a maid service is provided daily.
If you want to walk the 100m to the beach you will find a little beach were if you take bread and stand in the water dropping it in the fish will swim round and jump out to eat it. A real sight to be seen. The hotel has some thing for every one a cinema, daily activities such as football, water polo, water aerobics, splash dance, and a Disney afternoon for kids. The evening entertainment varies we had Christmas, Magic, The Supremes tribute who were great!
The only negative thing I would say is that the drinks in the hotel are expensive but there’s a super market 50m away and the restaurant in the hotel is cheap and has plenty of variety (its buffet)!! All in all can’t wait to return and hopefully stay longer this time!!

An all round fantastic holiday resort...
9 / 10
Sep 2006, westiejo

An all round fantastic holiday resort for families - 4* hotel - and it more than lived up to its rating - it was clean, spacious, well equipped, and the hotel and entertainment staff were excellent.
The choice of food was, on the whole good, with just the evening meal letting the hotel down on a few occasions (tough meat / lack of veg choice), otherwise, an excellent holiday.

Just back after a 4th visit and...
9 / 10
Aug 2006, Mrs EJ Lynn

Just back after a 4th visit and fantastic as always. Had read a few negative reviews but after seeing for myself I was still as impressed as the 1st time I went. I ate in both the snack bar and the restaurant and the food was fine.
The pool was closed for a few days off and on due to bad weather and irresponsible people excreting or vomiting in it and as the sea view is very aware of infection control then it took several hours to do the full cycle required to disinfect the pool. The staff are all friendly and courteous and it was nice to meet up with friends from previous years.
We hired a car and the only reason for doing this was we visited places that the buses don't visit i.e. villages and beaches which were fantastic!
It's also worth a visit to the vineyard by train or if you have kids, then take a very amusing trip up into the mountain behind San Antonio. Both of these can be found at the main bus terminal in San Antonio. All in all I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone. The pool area does not open until 8.30am and everyone gets the same chance to get a sun bed. So well done sea view management!

We booked this holiday because of...
7 / 10
Jul 2006, Mr A Saunders

We booked this holiday because of previous good reviews and overall the holiday was good. The accommodation was very good, we had two children (7 and 3yrs) and they thoroughly enjoyed the pool area in the daytime. The staff were very friendly, rooms were kept clean, (daily), and the complex is a lot larger than the brochure suggests. However, the on-site bars, restaurants and poolside snack bars are very expensive.
You are given a 'Sirenis' card on arrival which is pre-loaded with 60 euros, you give the card to pay for food/drinks throughout your stay and pay for what you've used at the end of your stay. The usual fayre of chips / hotdog s/ burgers / coke / fruit shoots etc is offered at the poolside bars along with alcohol and within 5-6 hours of arriving my balance on my card had exceeded the initial 60 euros! Paying over £2.10 for a Fruit shoot is slightly excessive, and slightly more than a pint of San Miguel!
The evening entertainment also leaves a lot to be desired with only a couple of the Airtours reps looking slightly capable of producing entertainment. The whole entertainment is provided by the reps but there were a few annoying male reps who were constantly screaming/whining trying to cajole the sometimes shell-shocked audience into a frenzy. It was sometimes embarrassing watching and listening to them! As well as having exactly the same format every night, the children’s disco was 8-9pm, the kids had more fun between 11pm-12am with the earlier disco being broken up and interrupted constantly, you could see the kids getting bored by the minute at the early disco!
It at times seemed very Hi-de-Hi, although on two nights there was a professional act on who were Ok. Not much to do around the hotel, you need to walk for 15 mins to reach any other nightlife, (restaurants/bars etc) but it was worth it for the change in entertainment. The beach/cove is very close although not the best beach for kids, as soon as you set foot in the water your feet sink about 2 foot straight into soft sand and there are rocks about 15ft out at waist height!
Overall an Ok holiday, the hotel/staff/facilities and cleanliness were very good but the entertainment needs addressing as do the prices of drinks etc! If you decide to get some provisions from the local supermarket across the road then don't, Sirenis also own that.
Take the walk down to the Spar supermarket, (10mins) and buy from there.
