, Olu DenizTurquoise Hotel reviews
went to the turquoise hotel olu deniz for our honeymoon and they spoilt what should have been the best week of our lives. the room we were given was filthy, electric wires hanging from the walls and mould all over the sub standard filthy bathroom. because the managers daughter was getting married the same week the guest were all made to feel second class, the food was aimed at impressing the turkish guest for the wedding rather than a decent mix for the other nationalities that were there.

Just returned from a perfect 11 day holiday at the hotel Turquoise. We stayed in block 3 (316) and the room was perfect for a family, spacious, immaculate with a wall mounted TV,a fridge that kept drinks icy cold,a spacious bathroom with hair dryer and air con.The room had doubled glazed doors and windows and blocked out any noise as we were beside the bar and backed onto the Dorian hotel that played very loud music but we couldnt hear a sound inside the room .We enjoyed lazing by an immaculate pool and we got sunbeds every morning hassle free!.MY son aged 11 enjoyed the various pool games, water gym, table tennis great fun run by the animation team Emre very entertaining.Delicious snacks, ice cream and cakes were available from 10.30.Meals were varied lots of salad , pasta dishes, chicken, fish, corn on the cob and roast beef and yorkshire pudding. The hotels biggest assest is Anna who spends every minute of every day making sure every guest has a perfect holiday any problems and she sorts it out at lightning speed ,we had no problems but chatted to her every day as she was great fun.The hotel staff are lovely and cannot do enough to help. The manager Osman Mansur PARCA Is very friendly and helpful even pulling our cases onto the transport coach. We have visited turkey three times and this was the best holiday by far.Looking to return next summer .Thanks to all at the Turquoise for a memorable holiday.

The hotel is basic, but clean and the swimming pool is fantastic! The beds are "hard as nails", we were in one of the loft rooms where the ceilings were low and uneven so you could render yourself unconcious if you did not put a light on! We also had terrible thunder storms where the roof windows leaked, even the cleaner would leave towels on the floor, the sound of the rain on the roof would keep you awake with the noise.
The neighbouring hotel "The Dorian" seemed to be in competition with the Turquoise in terms of trying to make the most noise! Although this finished at midnight, but you were woken at 6am with the call to prayer as well (the Mosque is directly behind the hotel). So you are never guaranteed a full nights sleep.
They also operate a cashless system, where you provide your room number and sign for drinks and food... It is easy to forget that you have to pay when you leave and some families/couples were being hit with a high bills. We would recommend to upgrade to all inclusive, however the friends we met described this as "all exclusive" as the hotel started to say that you could not have certain food from the lunch menu and some drinks were excluded, but it does a majority...
Apart from the noise, the location really lets this hotel down..! It is described in the brochure as a quiet resort in a beautiful setting...! Well there were Mountains, but if you like Blackpool in the sun, then you will love it..! It is a cheap and plastic resort, with no signs of culture...!

really nice clean and friendly hotel, me and my wife were on half board the food was ok and plenty of it, cant fault it and would return again,we went on trips every day and they were great especially the jeep safari and sunset cruise book with the operators in the town as they are cheaper that through your rep .if you go on the jeep safari take plenty of sweets as the local kids wait by the roadside for them.

We have just returned from a weeks stay at the turquoise hotel and could not recommend this hotel enough. Upon arrival we were shown to our room and our cases were taken there for us. The room was basic but spotless clean, the cleaners came round everyday and were happy and chearful as were all the rest of the staff. In fact we did not come across any member of staff who wouldn`t bend over backwards to help you. The breakfasts consist of a buffet of all you can eat which included a variety of cerials, bread, toast, jams, boiled eggs, selection of cheeses, biscuits, fruit and a large selection of salads/olives and cheeses ect. and for a small charge you could even have a full english breaky! The evening meals were also a buffet which included soup starters a choice of about 6 different mains (which I had a bit of each) 50 yes 50! different cold starters and 8-10 different desserts which all yet again was eat as much as you want. We didn`t have lunch at the hotel as we were half board but my guess is that they to would be good. They also put on two barbeques during our stay one of which was on the grass and the other was pool side. There was different entertainment on every night which included a comedy night, salsa dancing, poolside discos, singers, belly dancers and one night they just put up a big screen on the grass and played a movie which we sat on bean bags to watch as the sun was setting. The pool was big and kept spotless the only complaint in this area was you had to get up early to bag yourself a sun bed. My wife had a turkish bath at the hotel which she highly recommends which cost £20 and I treated myself to hot towel shave which only costs £2. The hotel itself is situated at the top end of the main street in Oludeniz which is only 5 min walk to the shops and bars and only 10 mins walk to the beach. As for Oludeniz it is a lovely place full of little shops, bars and restraunts. Without going into mass detail there is plenty to do and lots to see, if you enjoy a good laugh then I recommend you visit Shadows bar for a drink!!
As for the Turquoise Hotel I would recommend it to anyone and we will be going back there.

My wife, 19yr old daughter and I stayed here for 1 week and wished we had booked two.
Good points:
Clean rooms, good size and clean pool, separate kiddies pool, good food (try the all day English Breakfast for 10TL wonderful), extremely friendly and helpful staff, only 2 minutes from restaurants and 10minutes from beach (15 mins back up the hill after long day on beach)
Moderate Points:
The room walls are paper thin and with tiled floors. Could be a problem if you are a light sleeper with noisy neighbours.
Poolside music starts at around 11.15am and never stops until midnight (they are quite sensible with the volume though)
Don't expect professional evening entertainment but be sure to stay for the Belly Dance night. The Staff Comedy night is better watched the second time when you have got to know the waiters and staff. A bit weird if you have just arrived on the Sunday.
Bad Points:
Absolutely NONE
We will be going back again but not in June as it was in the 40C all week. I believe September is ideal.

i traveled with my wife and two children one is disabled and uses a wheelchair.
we arrived at the hotel and was met by the porter who was the most helpfull man i have met no matter what time of day the man is always there with a smile and a helping hand.
the rest of the staff are so helpfull to. as for the hotel it is so clean the rooms are small and basic there is a mini bar but that is expencive. the pool is nice and the pool area is kept clean. entertainment staff work hard not great but ok.the food is not bad but not a lot of choice hence the rating 8/10. location exelent 2min walk to all the bars, shops and resturants. 5 min walk to main beach couldn't ask for more.you have to go and see ellen she is the manager of the turkish bath at the hotel she will arrange the most wonderfull turkish bath and massarge for you.

we stayed at this hotel as a big group of 19 for one week. It was the best holiday i have ever had, and we arranging to go back next year. The hotel rooms were lovely and clean with a view over looking the pool and the maids left an arrangement of flowers every morning. Staff were ever so friendly, always remembered your name and alway happy to help. The all you can eat buffet at dinner was really nice something different everyday.
Beautiful views of the mountains around us.
As you walk down the road towards the beach there are plently of bars and places to eat evryone is so polite shaking your hand asking your name.
If you wear a football shirt you do attract alot of attention from the turkish men as they love english football.
Would HIGHLY recommend!

What a find. I've stayed in Olu Deniz 3 times before, including at the Hotel Asena Beach - but Hotel Turquoise has to be my favourite. The room was first class, very clean ( cleaned EVERY day - which is a first for me), overlooked pool - ask for Block 4 if you can and first floor - then overlook pool. We are beach people and love Olu Deniz, so the pool wasn't our choice, but it looked busy and popular with other residents. Hotel Turquoise is towards the back of the resort, so a good 10 min stroll to the beach, but perfect for us. I didn't mind being that extra bit away. We didn't eat there, even though B&B as never do, but other guests commented on how the breakfast was yum. We just prefer to hit that gorgeous beach every day and grab a kebab for lunch.
Olu Deniz - truely beautiful - sea, with Mountains as the backdrop. Recommend Shadow Bar for some fun. Buzz Beach Bar - chairs on the beach at night, chilling music, drinks brought to you, watching the moon shimmering on the sea. Perfect. I think Olu offers something for everyone. (not young groups looking for mad times though, it isn't that kind of resort). So if you want to just chill every night, or have a party atmosphere in a few bars, it offers it all. Restaurants are great. Food (turkish) is really tasty and priced cheap. Captain Hooks is a must for a great piece of fish, cooked to your liking - but is pricey.
We've just booked again for 2009 - same time, same hotel, same room if we can! :-)

We have just come back from an amazing 2 weeks a the Turquoise hotel.
We had the most amazing room on the top floor which was spotless on a daily basis!
The food was fantastic! They have a really good selection for dinner at really good prices.
The pool, views and gardens are beautiful as the hotel is really well kept and is in a fantastic location at the back of Olu Deniz but still only a 10 minute walk to the centre, beach and the "Blue Lagoon"!
The staff at this hotel really make the holiday they are so friendly and helpful they really can not do enough for you!
The only complaint i have is that i could not stay for longer for free! :)
I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone and will definately be re-visiting next year!

Stayed at the Turquoise on an All Inclusive basis from 26th April to 3rd May 2012..The staff could nt have been more friendly and helpful.. The area itself was beautiful just a short walk to the gorgous bay and the main street with the bars and cafes.. The food was well presented, tasty and plentiful. The pool area and bar were exceptional and the staff made you more than welcome and made it a pleasure to spend time there. The hotel was clean at all times and the daily maid service was exceptional.. The local people made us feel welcome and always had a smile on their faces whether you bought from them or not. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone as we know of not one reason that anyone should not go there at all.. We will definately be going back for another holiday there.... The sooner the better..
Thankyou to all the staff at the turquoise for making our holiday so enjoyable
