Hyatt Regency Hotel

We stayed in the Hyatt for one night and had breakfast the following morning which was included in the price. The rooms were very modern, clean and presentable and the views overlooking the city were breathtaking. The breakfast buffet was delicious, there was a wide range to choose from and the dining area is beautifully decorated giving it a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Best value rates seem to be via Hyatt's own website, whereby we had a Regency Club room for one night: much enjoyed, especially the Club Lounge and the stunning views over the city. Enjoyed it and didn't begrudge the high-ish price, even though it wasn't 'expense-account' business travel but our own money.

My Wife and I stop at this hotel three of four times a year we stop in the regency club rooms, this is worth the extra charge as mentioned in previous reviews as food and drink is included in the price, now that the bar has been refurbished and made larger we would not stop at any other hotel in Birmingham. I stayed here for a two night stay with my girlfriend booking with --- for £129 a night. I would stay the hotel is good value as the rooms very modern with nice bathrooms, tvs and full glass windows. The breakfast is also very nice, however, at peak times you do have to wait for a table. Also, when we arrived we were able to check into the room about 1pm, however, this meant we could only have a room on the 4th floor (1st floor of rooms) so we did not get chance to see the great views of Birmingham. We Booked a Regency room for the 1 night which included the complimentary drinks and food between 5.30pm and 7.30pm. The room is spacious and clean and has brilliant views of the city. We also took breakfast in the regency club room. It is well worth the regency club especially just for 1 night. The only fault we had was the staff were not very helpful, no smiles and quite ignorant. When we checked out we were not asked if our room or stay was ok. Apart from the staff, the hotel is good.

We stayed in a Regency Club room for one night. The views are absolutely stunning, we spent an hour at night just sitting and looking out! The room was massive, tastefully decorated, and had everything you could need. I chose this hotel after reading the other reviews, and we weren't disappointed. Worth splashing out for on a special occasion.

We stayed at the Hyatt for one night only as we were visiting the NEC. Travel to the hotel by train and a short taxi ride was quick and efficient (about 20 minutes in total). Our room on the eleventh floor was of a good standard and had terrific views. However, we were disappointed to find that when we ate in the open plan dining room, the peace was frequently disturbed by groups of young men shouting and swearing for prolonged periods. I stayed at this hotel for one night in October and had a very comfortable stay. The hotel has a very grand and impressive lobby that had piano music playing when we arrived. We were allocated a non smoking room(as requested) on the 16th floor which had great views including the big wheel which is situated across the road. Remains very good. Lovely cool swimming pool - though only 15 metres. Good clean rooms. Regency breakfast very good.

Stay here everytime i come to birmingham Great hotel with very clean rooms. Floor to ceiling windows give good views across Birmingham. A must!! Rich
