After walking for ages trying to find a room for the night for my 15yr daughter and myself I was really impressed with the reception staff and room.
They only had a disabled room but the only differences were the sink being lower and safety cord and switches being lower. Room was lovely and surprisingly quiet especially as Brum was buzzing that weekend we didn’t even hear the fireworks .
We ordered room service and hired a free DVD from reception (room service a little over priced but where isn't).
Breakfast was fine loads to choose from although the toast and hot drinks were a little slow to get to us, but as I said it was a really busy weekend . Would def stay again.

I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past and have always been happy but this time was a different story.
I won’t waffle on & on but we had a nightmare with the aircon in our room, the room was roasting hot and the aircon even on full blast with cold air was still pumping out heat.
Complaint after complaint & caretaker after caretaker visited are room on both nights of our stay trying to sort our problem. The second night they were still trying to sort it at 3.30am after our night out. In the end they had to unscrew the double glazing so we had a little air coming in! I asked to move rooms but just got told the temp was the same in all rooms so I might as well stay put!
Two sleepless nights later,2 tired & cranky people checked out not at all ready for the long journey home. The receptionist was less than helpful & the assistant manager wasn’t at all phased by our complaints.
After an email to the organ grinder and not the monkey we were offered a full refund & another nights stay...fingers crossed the next one will be more successful!
The hotel has excellent facilities & is in a wonderful location for Brindley place, Broad St and the main shopping area.
I would recommend this hotel as this is the first time I have had cause for complaint.
