Radisson SAS Hotel Reviews
" not the level you expected "

We paid for a suite. At arrival, the air conditioning in the room was on °C 27 degrees (F 80). The cleaning wasn't the level we paid for, nor the lower level mostly for bathrooms. We didn't find daily newspaper at arrival. We found bathrooms not cleaned, stained carpets, items (booklets and newspapers) of the former occupiers. Toiletries: the suite promise is "upgraded"; I don't know other rooms, obviously, I just know that the suite has two bathroom and i found toiletries in just one of them; I found:conditioner, body lotion, shampoo, shower gel two of each. The gym is small as a hotel room. We booked and paid for four and the bathrobe and slippers are for two.

This is one of the newest hotels to open in Birmingham, and the building is impressive. I stayed here as a treat when visiting friends and family in the area. and would recommend it as a great choice.
The hotel is excellently located just a short walk from Birmingham New Street station and the major Bullring shopping centre and Mailbox. This hotel is an excellent choice for theatre stays as both the Alexandra Theatre and Birmingham Hippodrome theatre as they are just around the corner. Also there you will find a selction of great bars and nightclubs. The REP theatre, NIA and ICC are also close by about a 10 minute walk.
The rooms were spacious and the beds really comfortable. The view from the rooms are nothing to right home about but the full lengh windows give the room a spacious and natural feel. Rooms has all the little things you would expect from a 4 star hotel. Check-in and Check-out was very quick, and staff were very efficent and friendly.
Facilities in hotel are ok but expensive. The choice of restaurants and bars outside the hotel offer better choice and value for money.

" We decided to stay in our own home... "

We decided to stay in our own home town as we were attending our friends' civil partnership at this hotel.
Check in was a bit slow - not sure what it is with Expedia, but the hotel never seems to get me anti-allergenic bedding until I request it at the hotel on arrival - but apart from that, the Radisson really is a first class hotel. Our friends were upgraded to the Presidential Suite, it was so luxurious, all that was missing was a butler - we paid £75 a night for the room, apparently, theirs was £700 a night!
For the price (the Holiday Inn next door is £55/room including breakfast), I would have like to have seen a proper health club with swimming pool and Jacuzzi, but all in all, the hotel is very good.
