A dud in Dudley

Hotel was nice enough if a bit lacking in sound proofing. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was not fancy but decent. Breakfast was free and relatively good. The bed was the worst I've ever slept in. We were busy nonstop while there and I never had time to request another room so I endured the bed. I'll look elsewhere next time.

I stay at the Ward Arms regularly, not from choice but because my employer is nearby and they have a policy of using the hotel, presumably because it is cheap. It's noticeable that whenever we have visitors they are always booked into alternative hotels! The hotel is just plain awful. Rooms smell damp, wallpaper peeling off, showers don't work properly, TVs faulty, heating system faulty, generally grubby and very very tired looking.
