I was very impressed by Sweet memory’s performance. It is in an ideal location, right next to the beach, and it has its own pool in the centre of the apartments. The food and drinks service was excellent, also there was a gaming and home cinema right next to the bar area, with two computers and a Playstation two. There are also a few gaming features next to the bar, but I do not know their names.

Under cover of a small roof, there is a snooker table which we enjoyed many a night having games against the bar tender (Sean?). I am not sure of his name, he worked with Claire, was Irish and had short hair. But anyway, he was very friendly, and helpful in showing me the flaws of my snookering technique.

I went to the nearby beach and rented out a small pedal boat with two chums, but we were left stranded for an hr and a half when the owner failed to see us waving frantically at him for help as we drifted into the med. but that’s another story.

We first visited Sweet Memories in August 2004 for our first wedding anniversary, the reception from all staff was excellent, the rooms lovely and clean, and the food parcel in our room was a great idea.

Claire, who works behind the bar was especially welcoming and coming from our part of the country in England made us feel at home we had some great nights out with Claire and her hubby Shaun (nutcracker). It was a good to see them on our return journey August 2005, both of them running the bar, the welcome we got off both of them was ecstatic 2nd time round.

Craig Elvis was brill, the best place to eat was Broadway Cafe, just behind the local hospital, Chris who runs it is warm and friendly and makes great steak, the price is right too.

In the new square a guy called Chris sings, play acoustic guitar, he is excellent, we ate a meal whilst watching Chris sing, it was so relaxing, and romantic, we danced on stage whilst he sang Lady in Red, a beautiful rendition (even if you dislike the song). We hope he has learnt the words to Vincent when we come back in August this year.

Kosmas (hope that is spelt right) the night door man was a lovely man, very kind he recognised us from our previous visit.

All in all we recommend Sweet Memories for giving us Sweet Memories and we cant wait to see Claire, Shaun and the gang this year.

Just come back from Cyprus after our honeymoon.

We had two great weeks at sweet mems.

Well run apartments if a little basic but to be fair that’s all you need there. All the staff were very helpful and were more than happy to help me with my Greek.

Arrived in the evening to find that the hotel provide a small amount of food/drink to start you off.. If you don’t want it just hand it back.

But the water and beer comes in very handy :->

Lots of places to eat..

Ellias taverna up the road to paralimini very good.

De sonia in town very bad food.

And I fully recommend Nico's. Romeo's open garden taverna and the slightly bizarre Brazillian/Italian restaurant.

It is very built up now and there are probably far too many Elvis' but its a good place to go.

Also go on the 12 people motor cruise (through Libra)

And go to return of the king bar for good cocktails

Go you'll enjoy it.

Never saw tour rep but in 20 yrs travelling have never wanted to. Helios crash was one week before. Only 55c in Cyprus. Sweet Memories Apts - clean, but all of Protaras is windswept and dirty, built-up and ugly. I would not recommend it for a Honeymoon, nor for a family Holiday, as it is expensive compared with Greek Isles and Portugal. On the other hand, the beach is wonderful, warm, and less than 15 mins from Sweet Memories. Shaun and Dawn run the Bar and are kind and helpful.

Entertainment is best in the local hotels (like Sweet Memories) rather than the Strip, as acoustics and the international audience prevent them venting their xenophobia - Greek Dancers are clever and funny, and Matt Elvis Craig as the 66th best Elvis on the Island was gross, and hysterically funny.

Getting boring have been going to sweet memoirs for 7 years now and booked up for 2006 already. Libra rep is there if you want them but we’ve never used as we only go for the room and do our own thing.

The manager 'Tony' - I only wish in the past 7 years my Greek has got as good as his English. Great place. If you eat and drink with the locals it is still very cheap. Who needs roast beef on holiday?!!

Nice friendly atmosphere, very helpful staff, change bureau, post box, telephone, onsite mini market, books and magazines stand, bar with large selections and good reasonably priced food, onsite cinema for the children, large clean swimming pool with a children’s pool separate, children’s play area, nice spacious apartments with good overall views, front view pool, rear view sea and beach approx 1 mile, out of sweet memories hotel its about 10 minutes walk to the town centre but there are restaurants and shops right outside the hotel, sweet memories is just off the main road but the traffic is quite light anyway and virtually deserted by midnight. Overall a good holiday.

What a great place for a family holiday, something for everyone, no matter the age, we had a great time, very friendly staff, especially Adonis the Hotel Manager, he was helpful and accommodating. Nicky behind the bar was a great asset, so kind and thoughtful and very friendly, being English she was able to help us when we needed a Doctor on a Sunday, I can only pass on my thanks and gratitude for her assistance. We had a wonderful time, the apartments were kept spotlessly clean as was the pool area, the sunbeds were washed down every morning and the pool was beautifully kept, always clean and well maintained, the food was excellent and cheap!!! With a good variety, a really good place to enjoy a relaxing holiday. Protaras centre was a pleasant walk away with many safe clean family beaches, restaurants and shops. I would highly recommend Sweet Memories for a self catering family holiday. The main Road was noisy at night, an inland room is recommended.

I stayed at the apartments for two weeks with my boyfriend. It was peak season and the temperature was phenomenal. After a bumpy and delayed flight we arrived early morning, and were delighted to have our air-conned room ready for us with a selection of food to chose from and pay for later, waiting for us. From that afternoon onwards we loved every minute of our stay in Protaras. The accommodation is clean, bright, plenty of space (For two), There were appliances for cooking almost everything (although some of the people we met got toasters and we didn’t) and a mini supermarket within the complex (for the above reason we recommend French toast - yummy!). We got a balcony with a wonderful view over the sea front and could see the coast for miles. The food available at the bar, practically from dawn till dusk is gorgeous, loads of choice and costs about the same amount as everywhere else local, if not cheaper. The all night guard is friendly, even if he only knows 3 or 4 words in English. The swimming pool is of a good size with a large amount of loungers, there’s a mini-cinema, a pool table and an air hockey table. The bar staff, Emma and Stu and co. are lovely, they make everybody feel welcome and we were so, so sad to have to go, we spent most evenings at the complex, and started every single 1 off there. The entertainer who performs every Thursday, runs the karaoke after the Greek BBQ, is one safe guy. He’s a brilliant singer and performer and can keep a party going all night (as well as teach grown men a few steps in ballet!)

Over-all we had the best holiday at this complex that I have ever had. It could be because we made loads of friends staying there whom we still are in contact with, and the fact that we got on so well with the staff, going to a birthday party at 4am, sitting up chatting until the bar shut, venturing to watch the entertainer elsewhere. Or the fact that at the end of the 2 weeks we all went for a final meal and he bought us all shots - 'Beam-me-up-Scotties' - Gorgeous!

All in all we had a fab holiday, the apartments are not for people who want luxury, to be pampered or waited on hand and foot. But they are by no means the 'economy' of complexes. They are for people, with and without families, couples, and groups of young and old, sun lovers. - as the centre and beach is literally a 5 min walk, there is a diving centre next door which we took advantage of and what an experience, the guys drink in the complex bar and so can tell you all you want to know about the exertion. And for once the picture that you receive from under water is of great quality and a good size. Another exertion we took was a boat trip that took us to the border of Famagusta, the ghost City. It took us to see coast caves and then swimming in the clearest waters of the med. We were warned of the party boats, but the tour we chose had around 20 people on board and we got to sunbath on the surface in front of the driver. We also learnt some interesting facts and got to dive from the top of the boat into the beautiful clear sea.

We hope that everybody enjoys his or her stay at Sweet Memories as much as we did and we don’t doubt that you will. We will definitely be returning in the near future, although unfortunately we can’t afford it this year :-( P.s. We hope you can hack Elvis, as he lives on in nearly every single bar in Protaras!

Really friendly staff, the accommodation was great, basic but clean and had loads of space. The pool area was really nice, lots of loungers, but you had to get down early to grab one. There was also a bbq each which was really nice as well. Altogether it was great! They did great milkshakes at the bar and had a nice shaded area to sit down when it got a bit too hot. I'd go back again, just with different people this year...

Well run self-catering accommodation, with Reception facilities.

Clean and well maintained. Nice pool area with plenty of loungers, and small children's pool and play area.

Near to local amenities.

Small and friendly. Some entertainment.

Downside - rooms directly above main road not suitable for light sleepers, traffic noise is 24hrs. However rooms away from road are very peaceful.
