Never been to Cyprus before, so i read a few reviews, and thought i would try "Sweet Memories", to be perfectly honest it was a cheap price, so i wasn,t expecting much. The previous reviews were mainly accurate, so i thought i will add my views.
To start off it was a night flight, so arrived at resort about 5.30am. The porter looked about 80, didnt speak English very well, but we muddled through. The room was very small and basic, no Tv or Air Con, but it was clean. They had left a few grocerys in fridge, which was a nice touch. any you didnt need or want, you returned and didnt get billed for.
we managed a few hours sleep, but the heat and sunlight were strong, se we ventured out.
Now we are talking about early October, and we stayed only a week, but blue skies and Sunshine every day, round about the mid 80s. You are about a 10min walk from the strip, but on the way, there are plenty of places to eat. we particular liked "Steens" and a Greek restaurant just a bit past, (forgotten the name).
If you like water sports, snorkelling sun bathing at a budget price, this is the place to be,Prices for food and drink wernt too bad either, considering the Euro exchange rate, you could get a better rate at the Hotel, than at home, not much, but every little counts.
so to round up Appartment V basic, but cleaners came round every couple of days, a good size pool for families, i would go to Cyprus again, despite 5 hours flight time on return, but maybe on other side of island, hope this is of use to anybody .

i understand where anyone is coming from about the room cleaning, (although not sure about not changing the sheets, maybe you were not very nice to them,)we found that twice a week was bad. But the people who worked there, especially the couple and thier staff in the bar area, were so welcoming and friendly. And we had breakfast in a few places and none of them beat sweet memories, including the place next door. we absolutely loved being there so much i cried on my last day. If the room cleaning is an issue for anyone then purchase some disinfectant and have a little clean round. simple.
Advice: get a car and drive down every dirt road you can find, first cape grecco, its beautiful

Be aware that you will be charged for air condition, we had to pay £6 per day for this which has always been included anywhere else we have been to. Also the welcome pack, nothing is complimentary not even a bottle of water on arrival, you have to pay for the whole pack, and if you decide that you don't want it they don't collect it, you have to take it all back to reception inclding 22 cans and 6 bottles of water which I thought was a bit of a liberty, they put it there they should collect it. There is also the issue of the lady dressed as a maid, cause she didn't do any cleaning in our room, she did however make the bed one day not with clean sheets though, I know this as my husbands toast crumbs were still there after I had taken him breakfast in bed. The dead moth which we named Monty was still squashed on the bathroom tiles when we left, the same place it was when we arrived, and the drain in the bathroom floor still has all the hair and dirt of everyone who has ever stayed in that room. So i cannot tell you about the meals as we refused to eat there. The apartment consisted of 2 gas rings and a toaster, no grill or cooker not really suitable for self catering unless you fancy something on toast. would never stay here again although would definately go back to Protaras
Advice: This was our 2nd visit to Protaras and it is lovely especially with the new beach front pathway

We have just returned from our two-weeks holiday in Protaras, having spent a fantastic time at "Sweet Memories". Our 4th time at the apartments, and yet again a faultless experience. All of the team of staff make your stay so pleasant and make you feel so welcome, however a special mention must go to Shaun & Claire (and Jessica!) in the bar, and Caroline in reception who all went out of their way to ensure our time at Sweet Memories was exactly that - a sweet memory!
Food and drink was reasonably priced, with the added facility of a mini-supermarket onsite, allowing you to purchase all the essentials for the apartment during the self-catering holiday.
We can't wait to return again next year.... if not before! (So Shaun, make sure there is plently of port in stock!)

we had a great time for 2 weeks from 23rd may. we were half board and the food was very good. no buffet type meals, you had your choice from the hotel menu and on a thursday it's barbecue night with an elvis show which is a great laugh. all the staff were fantastic, thanks sean and claire, lisa, caroline and tracy who just started on our 2nd week. the basic but very clean and comfortable rooms were cleaned with sheets and towels changed every 2 days. we would go back and stay there anytime.
Advice: everything you need for a great holiday.
Activities: anatolia restaurant just along the road towards the strip and konnos beach ( 10 minutes by car )

Doesnt look like anyhting special but infact it is graet. I went with my family last year, there was 6 of us. We were apprehensive about the room space seen as there is so many of us, but the room was great. spacious, cool, huge balcony (which was a bonus for reading in the early morning sunshine)! Plenty of room by the pool and a great bar.
We were bed and breakfast but there was no need to worry about where to eat, there is LOADS to chose from. we went to Rocks the first night and we enjoyed the food and the people that much we went every night so i have no experiance of the other resturants along the street allthough the flinstones one did catch my eye!
No complaints at all FANTASTIC.

Just back from our second visit to Sweet Memories and it was just as good as the first, This time we took the family, there was 8 of us ranging from 11yrs to 73yrs. We all enjoyed it and everyone said they would like to come back to Sweet Memories. This is a nice place to stay and we noticed that there was still some of the same staff from when we last visited about 4yrs ago ( a good sign as they are obviously happy with their place of work just as we were happy to go back there on holiday). Protaras is a lovely place to go, plenty places to eat and drink. We ate quite a few meals at Sweet Memories and enjoyed them. Elvis and Barbecue nigt is a must. It was great fun. Hoping to visit Sweet Memories again in two years and can't wait to go back.

We have just returned from a 2 week holiday at Sweet Memories and it was our first visit to Cyprus, and we had a fantastic holiday! They say its the people that make a holiday and this is true for the staff at Sweet Memories!!!
Although the hotel shows as only 2 stars, the atmosphere and staff are excellent. The rooms were basic but clean and beds comfortable which is what you need after a night out on the drink...
Shaun & Claire behind the bar are amazing, very welcoming, friendly and fun and always make a point of saying hello and having a chat and Danni was a complete star, there is a great team working here and it makes a huge difference.
Lisa behind reception is an asset to the hotel, nothing was a bother and she was always up for a chat, always smiling, and a really fun, bubbly person - we love you heaps!!!!!!
The resort itself is great, not as expensive as other parts of Cyprus and plently to do for families, couples, and young people - the entertainment at Sfinx was fab with their variety show and food in shenanigans was top notch (irish bar) - if you want live singing, bingo, and a great atmosphere woodys next door to the hotel is great...
We will def return to Sweet Memories, and if the owner knows whats good for him he will hang onto the current staff as it would not be the same without them!
One final point is a thank you to the cleaners who were great, and very friendly :)

We've just got back a day ago where to start? We enjoyed our stay so much we are already thinking of booking for next year. The staff were very friendly and professional. Caroline on the reception was brilliant we couldn't of asked for better service. Every morning she greeted us with a smile and seemed completely genuine 10/10 for her!
All the staff were brilliant and really made us welcome from the moment we arrived to the moment that we left. You can find out alot at reception especially excursions and most is alot cheaper this way than it is going through the Libra rep! We didn't see much of our Libra rep we both found her unhelpful and rude. She seemed more busy on the phone everyday than sorting out any of our problems. So we mainly went to reception if we had any problems.
Unfortunately when we were there i had an ear infection but even then reception was able to help they contacted the local private doctor surgery called the Vellessia. Wow! this place knocks socks of the NHS! Perfect in everyway quick and effective. And we didn't have to pay a thing cos it was all covered by our travel insurance.
We did do alot of excursions but the most memorable was the scuba diving which we done just next to the hotel. Easy divers were brilliant and even went on a second dive to the caves a top class experience and would recommend it to anyone.
We throughly ejoyed our experience and would recommend cyprus to anyone if you enjoy the sun while we were there the temperature hit 43C and is expected to hit 50C in august make sure you pack your sun lotion.

What a fab place only been back 3 days n already tryin 2 book 4 next year. Rooms r basic but very spacious a bit of an ant problem but they soon sort it out. shaun n claire behind the bar r brilliant they treat u like a friend n are great with kids. The bars of protaras are mainly catered 4 families the show at the spinx bar is a must see worth every penny. A brill holiday my partner said he would never go anywhere twice n he cant wait 2 go back.

We have just returned from Sweet Memories and that is really such an apt name. We booked 3 days before we were due to leave and got a last minute deal here. This hotel could not dissappoint anyone. The rooms, pool, food, and customer service are fantastic. The star rating that Libra give it do not give it justice. Everywhere is spotlessly clean with bar, reception and houskeeping staff all treating you like a friend. I would highly recommend Sweet Memories to anyone visiting the area.
As far as the resort goes, it stretches for a long way and there is plenty for everyone. One thing to note, is that no one goes out before 9pm. We normally ate around 7pm although think everyone was having a snooze at this time. We are a couple of 27 and 25 years old but still managed to not quite manage a full night out on the town! Would recommend Greenery for cocktails at EUR2 before 10pm. Stay away from Yianna Marie restaurant if you want a good meal, although it is one of the only ones set near the beach so this is its advantage. We went for a great Indian at Ganga, which is on the main Protaras road. Give the water show a miss which is on in the evenings, money could be better spent elsewhere. The American Indian is also great value for steaks and do a good set menu.

We had a great time the Staff at the Sweet Memories where very helpful and polite
The rooms where basic but clean. bedding and towels were changed every 2 days
The euro was a let down somethings were a bit expensive But the prices at the Hotel were good, if you want a no frills holiday the Sweet Memories is for you things are in easy reach or just a short walk from the hotel ..For a good meal visit the Super S Restaurant just 2 minutes walk from the Hotel.. We would go back to this Hotel
Advice: very clean nice polite people
