Booked the Panorama studios as a last minute holiday, thoroughly enjoyed it. Staff very friendly and helpful, restaurant has one of the best chefs in town. Room was clean and spacious (ground floor). Will be going back for 2 weeks in the future. Yammas

2 weeks in the sun, great location, friendly staff, shame about the apartment, very dissapointed, small room with cooker and fridge crammed in, had to ask for it to be cleaned, bathroom not good, fan did not work, eventually got it fixed, fridge exchanged and had to have the toilet fixed twice. Not the greatest first week.
Pool and food good, no room to cook so ate out at lunchtime as well as evening.
Well placed for beach, bars and restaurants.
Accommodation ok for a week very basic not 3 stars.
Outside better kept than inside,no room to change in for flight home, allow for minimum 35euros if you want to keep your room or swop to another on the day you leave.

Just arrived back from a brilliant holiday in Stalis whilst staying in the panorama apartments. the accommodation its self was very basic but clean and spacious. They were situated in an excellent position in the middle of stalis and right on the beach. The street that the panorama is situated on is filled with shops, hotels, restaurants and internet cafes. The manager of the hotel however was not as helpful as we would have liked. There was no help with carrying our suitcase up to our room which was on the third floor and when we asked to extend our room on the last day she was not very helpful and explained to us that she could not let us no if we could extend our room until the day. we booked our trips with sparrow travel as they did not cost as much as they would if we had booked them with first choice. the staff at sparrow travel were very friendly and helped us out as we were the only English speaking people on the trip. All in all a very good holiday with an excellent location and which met its expectations.

Me and my friend have just returned from a 2 week stay at the Panorama. On arrival at the hotel we where shown to our room by the bar staff as the reception was closed at 2pm - they wasn't very welcoming and all they said was " reception at 6 " we went to the reception at 6 but no-one actually came till about 6:30 and again quite rude and unfriendly, so the first impression of the staff wasn't great!!
The location of the apartments is ideal it is surrounded by bars and restaurants, and the beach is a 2 minute walk away. We spent most of our time at the beach as it had more atmosphere, the pool area was very quiet and lacking atmosphere. Also if you want to get a spot round the pool you need to be down there before 8am as everyone seemed to be up at the crack of dawn reserving sunbeds even though most people didn't actually get down to the pool till after lunch. On the one occasion we decided to stay round the pool we put our towels out on the way back from a night out at 6am to secure us a spot and a good job we did as we were down for 9am and all the sunbeds where reserved. We spent the rest of our holiday down the beach at Zervas watersports which is approx 2 walk, it cost €5 for 2 sunbeds, umbrella and use of the hotel pool...etc (Which is fab by the way), however we found that as we brought drinks from the hotel bar they didn't bother charging us for the beds after that, (beds are charged at €4 on Panorama beach, and still charge even if you buy drinks). The staff at Zervas are great so friendly and fun - especially Maria who works on the pool bar she was so welcoming and couldn't do enough for you. Also the Chief was friendly and alright on the eye.....
The apartments themselves are basic, however clean and comfy and did the job - you don't go on holiday to stay in the room all day!! We did buy air con (which is a must) and a safe, which cost us €120 for the 2 weeks. The hotel pool was clean but quite small and the hotel restaurant / bar was ok the food was nice, however we did feel they tried to rip us off as on 2 occasions we went for a meal and we only wanted a snack it was around 5:30pm and we were told NO even though people around us had toasties etc, we were made to buy food off the main menu..... maybe it was because we didn't spend much time round the pool - but you can see why!! So we didn't bother going there again.
As for nightlife Stalis is mainly aimed at couples, families and small groups, we knew this when we booked as we wanted to be close to Malia and Hersonissos as this is where all the nightlife is but as we where staying for 2 weeks we didn't want to be in the thick of it all day everyday. We went to Malia and Hersonissos most nights which cost €8 in a taxi. Both places are really lively and good fun, everyone is there for the same thing to get drunk and have a laugh, however we did prefer Hersonissos which is definitely worth a visit the bars and clubs are fab!!
All in all we had a good time but it wasn't down to the hotel as we never spent any time there only to sleep. If you have booked this hotel you will have a good time, but the staff aren't all there made out to be!!

Not much to say-great resort, great bar, great food, great hotel! Well worth a stay nice and clean, people friendly, great location and good-sized pool. A/c is definitely needed as it's so hot-only problem we had was with the a/c which needed looking at on our last evening but the guy never came. Apart from that was brilliant.

My boyfriend and I have just come back from a week at this accomodation and wish we could have stayed for a fortnight. The location of the apartments is excellent. It is in the center of Stalis surrounded by plenty of bars and restaurants. Maria's had a particularly good atmosphere. The very nice beach was a two minute walk away. The best thing to do is to find a bar with deals on the beach. We found Bar Code to be the best offering two beds, one umberella and two toasties with salad for $3. Which was a great deal.
The pool area was very clean with plenty of sunbeds. The onsite restaurant had a wide variety of choice and the staff were very nice indeed.
The room was basic but clean. It was too small to do much cooking in and didn't have a table to eat at but as we ate out for lunch and dinner it didn't matter to us. It was a pity there was no shower curtain. Our balcony had a poor view, but others had good views. Air conditioning was expensive, 50 euro for the week! The safe was 20 euros. Overall though, the accomodation was good.
Stalis as a whole was great for a relaxing break.

just want to t say what a fab time me and my friend liz had staying at the panorama apartments in stalis crete. We have been to stalis a few times before but have never stayed at the panorama and have always been with our families. This time it was just liz and me we had a great time. The weather was lovely and it was nice to see old friends.
As for the panorama what can i say it was superb. George was very helpful and good company and nothing was to much trouble. The place has a real friendly feel to it and was spotless.
The food at the panorams was amazing and very reasonable and with George making the best cocktails especially one called SPOIL will definately be going back.
Love Debbie xxxx
P.s Lovely Beach bar and nice garden.

We stayed at these apartments for 2 wks, our room was basic but very clean and roomy for the 2 of us. we had a balcony which over looked the hotel and enjoyed time just sitting and watching the time go by. the staff were very lively and always made you welcome, nothing was to much trouble for them. The weather was unpredictable but always warm, as i cant sleep when to warm we hired the air conditioning, along with the T.V and safety deposit box, this totalled 150 euros. We had night time flights and did not leave the hotel until 2.30 am, so we hired a room for another day which was 45 euros, bit expensive but well worth it. We also recommend that you have a drink with you if you have night flights as the shops dont open till around 8am. Anyway enough about the hotel, our rep, Vicky, was very jolly and approachable always helpful, i hope she enjoys her time working in lapland, hehe. Stalis is ideal if you want a quiet and relaxing time, although busy it was not over crowded, if you want more night life then Maliya is just up the road. the beach was very clean and the sea warm once you were in it. The shops were plenty, but like everywhere you have to shop around for what you wanted. The english food was very nice but not much cheaper than here, averaged about 14 euros for a fillet steak, but the greek food was alot cheaper and tasty. over all the holiday was just what we needed for a long rest, we would recommend this resort and apartments to couples and famillies and hope you have a good time like we did. 10 out of 10 for everything.

We've just arrived back yesterday from panorama apts,we had a really good time! The rooms were clean and modern and everybody friendly and helpfull, george, manos and mike were especially great fun with good sense of humour even at 3am! these guys never stop. I recommend the Slainte irish bar down the road on the right,we said we'd go somewhere different every night but we still ended up there every eve at some point! the entertainment was non stop but dont worry about noise late at night as once you close the doors to your apt you cant hear anything or you could try drinking as many rum and cokes as my wife did and sleep well all night (and the next day) They're measurements are a little larger than ours! the robin hood is fantastic for a cooked breakfast if thats your thing and you're not too green(The Mrs)ahem.
All in all a great place to stay with friendly people, plenty of entertainment a lovely clean sandy beach and cheaper than home,we loved it.

Me and my other half stopped here September and found the apartments to be lovely and Big, very clean with Fresh Towels every couple of days. The pool was Freezing though. Only downside was the Bathroom as no shower curtain and nowhere to hang the Shower head which made things a little difficult. The food at the Bar however was fab and not overly priced. George and Manos at the Bar were fab and Mike was very helpful.
Ideal location as right in the middle of Stalis and the beach was only hop and jump away. Restuarant wise there are lots around and they always try and drag u in. Minos though is the place to go, reasonably priced and the guy how gets you in there is very funny and brings cakes out for you to have a look at and has a selection of packeted Custard from local English supermarkets.
Overall we would go back there again.
