The transfer from airport to hotel was long and winding, so would not recommend for anyone who is car sick. The hotel its self was in beautiful surroundings, but was in need of updating. Hotel hygiene was an issue. I saw staff mopping reception with same mop from mens... more

This hotel is in a beautiful location, the views are spectacular. The rooms were comfortable and clean not five star but suited our needs. We found the bar staff friendly if you made the effort to speak to them even if you had to use sign language and pointing and a smile.... more

Hotel Moto: Minimal effort is good enough.
Stayed there for 14 days. I have been in better 3 star hotels and think one does not get what one pays for here. The stay was okay but really overpaid. Location: Nice View some palms on beach for shade not that bad at all. Hotel: Concrete 50’er block design functional but uninspiring. Beach: Largely big pebble beach (shoes needed) water was nice. Drinks: No freed drinking Water in Room. No name soft drinks Turk Cola instead of Coca-Cola and sugar lemonades instead of other drinks. Food: Below average quality food although selection is big variety was not large. Rooms: Was in order. Air conditioning only worked between 22pm-6am by design else heat if on which was also by design and not fun at 7 am! Children: Absolutely unsuitable for small children. Not food or drink is allowed to take into room, Air Condition not available for children Naps and really very many stairs one can’t avoid. Bigger children should have fun although 90% of personal only speak Russian! Insects should be mentioned mosquitos and wasp and no Counter measures done by Management and a there really exceptionally big manifestation on them! (Been on jungle a holiday too).
great resort
Just returned from being at resort for 7 nights if you want to get away from the busy city this place is for you. me and my family loved it. it's not prefect it's what you make of it. we had no problems apart from wasp's. but they did'nt spoil it for us. the boat trip at marmaris resort is a must. great vaule at 30ytl. for all day food included. foood choice is good. evening show's are good... great for family's. small water park for adults and kids. would go again... all in alll great resort... anyone who say's different are too bloody fussy.... you get 5 star...
not a five star for sure
All around average resort Location - excellent f you do not want to be connected to a city to occasionally visit nightlife at Marmaris - do not rely on free transportation claims - devil is in the details :-) Service - lower than average - Facilities - OK but the beach is not good - stones make it practically useless except for suntanning beds are not comfortable and the maintenance is not good. Food - Average, selection is large, but quality is not great All inclusive but they'll ask for money at every turn - even Soap at the Turkish bath will cost extra? Bring your towels - it'll cost you time and runarounds just to pay for deposit and get towels here! Take it ONLY if you get a GREAT deal! Enjoy your vacation!
Loved the whole holiday and hotel
We've just come home from the Marmaris Resort hotel and we loved it. It is in a beautiful bay albeit it remote so a hire car such as we had is a great plus. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Most spoke English, but even the ones that didn't understood our requests and a few were very keen to learn more English from us. We found the facilities in the hotel excellent and there is a lot to do to keep yourself occupied if you can drag yourself away from the pools. The food is very varied and we found something we all liked every day. The popular dishes can develop a queue so best to get the meat on offer first before going back for veg and potatoes. The in house entertainment was good on most nights. We avoided the bingo though. The Turkish dance night was superb. I would definately go back in the future.
Weekend in Marmaris
The resort is located outside of Marmaris, despite the name being Marmaris Resort. some people might not being so far outside of the city, but we liked being farther away. If you want to go into the city they do have a shuttle bus that takes you there. They have a few pools, including one activity pool that is hidden from the normal area so it keeps the noise down from it, which is nice if you want to relax. The food is good for being a buffet. They changed it up a little each nice, but still had some staples. another reviewer complained about the bugs and cats in the eating area. However, this is common at every turkish restaurant and resorts in Turkey I have been in, and the cats know their place usually and just sit to wait for scraps. they have an option to see and swim with dolpins, which we did not do as it was to pricey for us. We did do their Aegean boat/island tour though. It really should be a Aegean bay boat tour though, as you don't leave Datcha Bay, and you actually get to go onto one island. My husband enjoyed it though, as he likes to swim much more than me. It was relaxing though just to sit on a boat and cruise around the water all day. Overall, I will recommend the hotel to my friends.
the worst 5 star hotel i have stayed in
We were put in a double room with a sofa bed for our daughter. the matttress was so thin that you could feel the metal bars through it. it took two nights sleeping onit until the hotel changed it for a suitable bed. as soon as we got there we asked if we could pay for an extra day to keep our room as we had a late flight, they kept telling us to come back the next day until we finally got to the last day before they did anything. at first they expected us to use the spa showers until we complained. the food was of a very poor standard. the staff were unfriendly and not very helpful. if i had to give this a star rating it would be about a 3 star.
It was amazing!
I have just got back from marmaris and it has been my first time in turkey and i loved it! The marmaris resort is absaloutly beautifull and alot of the turkish workers really liked us english guests. But i have just noticed on the news about some bombing going of in marmaris the day after i have left it scares me a lot. But the hotel was great!!
lovely view but isolated
have just come back from staying at the hotel views are stunning, but the hotel is very isolated. The coutesy bus was not running last week, but you can catch a local dolmus into Maramais if you want to travel out. The hotel was spotless, and there was a wide selection of slalds available, but the hot food could be left warming for a while and was never hot. We were also attacked by wasps and mozzies, even though we used buckets of repellant so I would advise you to take the plug in repellants for your room, and perhaps an aerosol insect killer to spray before you go to bed. There were plenty of sunbeds available around the pool, but the pool bars shut at 6pm. as regards snacks - we didn't find any even though they were meant to be included in the price. The drinks selection was also limited. However I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a quiet week,
awful
This is the most awful hotel i have ever stayed in. My fiance and i travelled with my sister and her partner for a two week stay in what looked like paradise. It was an absolute hell hole for the full two weeks. The food was terrible, and the buffet restraunt was so unygenic with birds, cats and insects all over the place including the food. The food was left warming for over an hour before the buffet opened. The hotel looks nice but obviously looks are decieving. Dont even think about staying here.
First Trip to Turkey
This was not only our first visit to the Marmaris Resort but also our first to Turkey. Firstly to anyone thinking about this hotel it is not in Marmaris but 15-20km outside. It is secluded in a beautiful area and ideal for a quiet relaxing holiday. There is a courtesy bus service into Marmaris although being out of season this was cancelled a couple of times through lack of interest. Despite being out of season the place was still almost full in the first week, nevertheless there were ample sun-beds and it was only the soft mats which ran out. We loved the food (although I can understand it not being everyone's cup of tea) the main courses were a little unvaried but this was made up by the amount of different Turkish dishes (salad type dishes with meats etc in an exotic sauce) and the option of pizza, pasta and chips if necessary. Food was available most of the time from 7am until the midnight snack ended at 12.30. We enjoyed a wonderful multi-course meal at the Turkish Restaurant at the cost of 3 euros pp. The free drink was available from 10am to 2am. They were sometimes a little less than generous with the size of the measures but once you gained friends you could prompt for a little more. My main criticism of the all-inc drinks was that there were little choice in spirits in comparison to other AI places we have visited(ie there was vodka, gin, brandy, raki and a couple of liquours). The staff on the whole were very friendly (a couple of miserables but you get them everywhere). The maid service was excellent. One negative was the amount of wasps and mosquitoes. Overall we both loved this holiday but I emphasise it is for those who prefer a quiet relaxing holiday not constant night life.
