our 1st night at the intermar was a disater, we where put in room 209, which was on the front side of the hotel. this room must of been the noisiest in the hotel, if not in marmaris, my husband did manage to get to sleep (with his fingers in his ears). next morning we woke and req to be moved which we where without a problem. we where given a pool facing room which was a lot better and a lot quieter. from there on our holiday improved. pool was a great size. couldnt fault the maid service, and room was good size with a great bathroom. the only thing bad i could find is that the receptio staff where not the most friendly we have met. we did not spend much time in the hotel, we went to the beach most days, and ate out each evening, and i think this was the problem. also the mini bar prices where very expensive, even for bottled water. they wanted the same price for a small bottle as what you could pay for a large one across the road in the local shop. they didnt like you taking snacks or drinks up to your room that had not been bought from the hotel. as said previous cant fault the hotel for cleanliness and location was great. so anyone staying there i'm sure your stay will be enjoyable providing you dont get room 209

I Have Recenlty stayed at the intermar and i was great, the food was really nice and the pool was probably the largest ive had in a hotel. all the staff were very nice. the rooms were very clean and the beds got changed 3 times a week. the views are good ... you can either get a main road view or a pool view. i had a main road view which i thought would be really loud but it was actually quieter than the pool side. i loved the hotel and i would deffinately go again.

just arrived back in the uk after having a fabulous week in marmaris. however when we first arrived at 8am on friday 08.08.2008 at the mehtap hotel which we were to be staying we were only to be told that they were fully booked. i wasnt very happy and also all of us very tired from the journey. the turkish guy behind reception who was very apologetic explained that he had a car ready to take us to the intermar. after arriving at the intermar and was settled in we found that the location was still good it only took an extra 2 MINUTES to walk to the beach. all the staff there were very friendly and happy and smiled all of the time especially JIMMY. the food was ok. hotel was clean enough beds changed everyday and clean towels. air conditioning at the intermar is FREE you have to pay elsewhere. went on two boat trips one which was free due to the upsetment at the start of the holiday, really enjoyed both of them. if you like steak you must go to natalies steak house the steak is like a joint of beef on your plate. DELICIOUS. overall a fantastic holiday, just one thing look out for the hot breakdancer, he looks like robbie williams.

We have just got back from Turkey. We have never been before so didn't know quite what to expect. Our stay at THE INTERMAR to say the least was fantastic.
The Intermar Hotel was immaculate, the air con was FREE, the pool was one of the biggest in Marmaris (a lot that we saw were like ponds - So beware). The staff here all spoke reasonably good english - They bent over backwards to assist you in any way. They couldn't have been more accomodating. Unfortunaltely, due to the new Harrassment law in Turkey - the staff have to be careful in case any guests accused them of harassment but once we made them aware that we enjoyed them talking to us and having fun with us Ie - showing us card tricks etc. they relaxed more which in turn relaxed us. They were fab. We stayed half board and the food was very tasty with a lot of choice. Always hot and if anything ran out they would soon top up. The Breakfast was left to be desired but in all fairness the hotel does advertise TURKISH breakfast. However they did provide plenty of bread, jam etc. boiled eggs and cereal so there was something for everyone. They also provided Nescafe Coffee!! Which was very welcome the morning after drinking cocktails. The bar prices were on a par with all the local bars. The mini bar in the rooms however were more expensive (as they always are) but even then, I don't think they were outrageous. The safety deposit boxes were in a room which needed key access. The boxes worked on a two key system so without both keys you couldn't access the box. Very reasssuring. The hotel offered money exchange which again was on a par with anywhere else in the resort. The rooms were a little on the small side but then again it's only to rest your head overnight. The maids came in everyday to clean and changing bedding & towels every other day. Enjoyed this stay so much so that we plan to honeymoon there next year.

This is my second time at the Hotel Intermar, the hotel is good, clean and for a three star you get everything you need. The staff are absolutely great and really make your stay special, the bar and pool area are always clean and the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly.
The only downside for me was the lack of evening entertainment, but there is so much going on in Marmaris that you don't have to go far to find some.
Will definitely be going back in the future, couldn't pick a better hotel or location for Marmaris !!!

My first visit to Turkey was one to remember!
We were pleasantly surprised with the service we received at the hotel. From the outset the reception staff were extremely friendly - assisting us with all our concerns. Our triple room was spacious with the addition of a splendid view from our large balcony.
The room was cleaned every afternoon and the general hygiene of the hotel was excellent. Fresh linen and towels were provided daily.
Evening entertainment was very enjoyable. A barbeque was provided each night with delicious and varying food. There was a weekly added enjoyment of watching the belly dancers perform.
Hotel Intermar is highly recommended!!!

I have been going to Marmaris since August 2001 and we have always stayed in the Hotel Intermar up until 2006. We had booked the Intermar through Direct Holidays but we received a letter about 2 months before we were due to travel advising us that they had dropped it from their program and our accommodation had been changed to the Oasis Hotel. I’ve since found out that the Intermar is bookable through Holidays for u, Med hotels and direct through the hotel itself.
I love this hotel and over the years I have built up a good friendship with the hotel staff as they are always the same every year. It is in the perfect spot of Marmaris and close to all of the local amenities. The rooms are nicely decorated and equipped with a TV, hairdryer, telephone, fridge, AC, mini bar, and you even get chairs on the balcony. From the rooms the only views are the pool or the road side which can be noisy so the pool side is nicer.
The air conditioning in the rooms is free which a good thing is as most properties in Marmaris charge. The pool is probably one of the biggest in Marmaris and there are plenty of sunloungers to use. The beach is about 120 yards away and the Turkish bath in the hotel is amazing. We have stayed here on a half board basis and the food is really nice but it can get a bit repetitive especially if you are staying for 2 weeks.
Late checkout rooms and safety deposit boxes are available (at an extra cost not expensive though) but you need to ask at reception first thing for the late checkout rooms as the hotel gets booked so to keep your room on late can be tricky if you’ve not requested this on the first few days. The staff are amazing they really do work very hard and for very little money although you never hear them complain, nothing is too much trouble for them.
There is a hairdresser in the hotel and you can also rent a car, bicycle, or motorbike, this can be done in the office by reception. The drinks from the pool bar are cheap and you can order food from the Junction Restaurant next door and that is also very well priced.
The hotel have evening entertainment and a Turkish night every week. I simply can’t praise this hotel enough. I would never stay anywhere else. Everything about this hotel is perfect and it really makes my holiday. I’m just happy that I found other Tour Operators to book it through so that I could stay there again in 2007 as the Hotel Oasis was rubbish, Direct Holidays really have lost out!

I have been to Marmaris many times and the Intermar was the worst place which I have stayed in.
The sheets were changed once during our 2 week stay and the floors didn't seem to get cleaned at all as my feet were filthy walking on it and a shattered glass seemed to have been overlooked by the cleaners!!
The air conditioning seemed to only work at night but it was so noisy, I had to keep switching it on and off through the night. Had to chase reception for toilet paper and clean towels on several occasions.
There was no entertainment in the hotel despite the promise of a Turkish night on their website. The waiters tried to overcharge me on various occasions and on the day I left, they tried to charge me for alcohol taken from the mini bar (I don't drink!!).
My sister and her husband left 4 days after me and were presented with a restaurant bill for my room (after I had gone) which they said I hadn't paid.
The receptionists were nice but barely spoke English and the restaurant staff were just wide boys. My sister stayed in a different room which was 10 times worse than mine (the bathroom was so disgusting) and was sick of reporting faults to reception.
On the plus side, it is central for all amenities in Marmaris and the Junction restaurant beside the hotel has lovely staff and great food. Marmaris is a great place with friendly people but stay away from the Intermar if you want to enjoy your holiday.

Its an average hotel. The staff are very friendly and don't hassle customers. One thing I didn't like about hotel, is that you can not bring a casual friend in to your room. I think hotel management should be more professional about customer service by having an introductory program for hotel new arrivals. Which could include a induction about how and where customer can use the services provided by the hotel. Overall, it been a good experience I enjoyed my holiday. Also I would like to thank to Kenney and Mehmet for their help whilst my stay at the hotel.

The hotel is perfectly located: 2 minutes from beach, 15 minutes from Marina, dolmus stop practically on the doorstep. They have decent size pool and enough sunbeds for everyone.
The hotel is clean, food is OK, towels changed almost every day, and the staff... well were to start! They were great, fantastic, nothing was too much trouble for them.
But: when we arrived we have been given the WORST possible room, I have never seen anything so poky, no balcony, with the lovely wall view.
The neighbouring hotel has provided us with very loud entertainment for half of a night. The baby cot we requested was nowhere to be seen, but it was put in to the room within 5 minutes. And what the cot it was! Some ancient metal structure with bolts sticking out of it and mattress made out of 2 blankets.
Honestly I was scared to use it, and once in the room it was impossible to move around or even open the wardrobe. Anyway, next day I was transferred to the family room (for which I have paid in the first place). And it was GOOD, except of the aircon. One installed in the living are no nothing in the bedroom. It switched itself off when you taking the key out. So the minibar curiously. Don't expect then nice and cool room when you coming back after day/night out.
Overall, it's a good 3 star hotel. Just mind that they to not cater for kids and babies (wretched cot and highchair in the restaurant), ask in reception for the fan (supplied industrial strength) and you ARE going to enjoy you stay.

If you want your holiday ruined stay at the Intermar!! What a shambles where do I start?
Firstly we had a very bad stench in our room what could only be described as sewerage when we asked reception about the smell we were told to shut the bathroom door.
That was the start to our brilliant holiday, every time we tried to use a hairdryer the electrics would spark and fuse and we would have to wait 20 minutes till we were able to put it back on, again when we reported this too reception we were told they know about it and we need to be careful!
Then when we got back from a day trip we were surprised to find clean bedding and clean towels soaking wet bedding and soaking wet towels, again we went to reception I was told to wait an hour cause it was hot, they would dry by the time we needed them.
Not one person on reception spoke English and often as I was talking to them would just walk off back into the office.
If you’re going to sunbathe you would have to get up at 5 am or all the 26 sunbeds around the pool would be booked with towels, not once during our holiday did we manage to get a sunbed.
It wasn’t all bad though, the bar men always had a smile on and were very friendly oh and if you must stay there, go self catering, the food is awful. I had to wait 20 minutes for a cup so I could have a cup of tea.

We have just come back from a week staying at the Intermar, 2 adults and 2 young children and we have had a very lovely time. The staff are very helpful and very child friendly, other holiday makers in the hotel also had a great attitude and we had help organising transfer back to Dalaman airport from lovely staff member Ishaq who not only arranged transfer but also confirmed our return flight and gave us great advice on excursions we'd booked outside of the hotel.
Would definitely recommend it and not to forget that our room was lovely and spacious with an adjoining lounge that had two mattresses and we were given a cot (not to uk safety standards though, so used with moses basket!), so there was plenty of space for the four of us and at night we had a great view from our two balconies. The hotel is situated in a superb location near to the beach, Icmeler and the marina. In addition the large pool, small kiddies pool, free sunbeds, swinging chair all were welcome additions. All in all we paid a fantastic price for a fantastic hotel!

We booked the Intermar Hotel having read the 10/10 reports from previous holiday makers and am sorry to say that it did not live up to our expectations.
The rooms were small with a mattress on the floor for our 4th person, the air conditioning did not work properly, the hair dryer in the bathroom didn’t work and the mini bar prices were at least three times the price of the local shop.
We stayed bed and breakfast and found the service quite poor, as most morning we had to clean a table before we could sit down, and they would run out of things quickly and when asked some of the staff made you feel that you were inconveniencing them.
The pool is a good size and very clean however there is not enough shelter especial for families with children.
Overall we did not feel that the Intermar was of a 4 star standard and missed the absence of evening entertainment, which you would normally expect of a 4 star hotel.
On a positive note the hotel is in a good location minutes from the beach and an array of restaurants and was cleaned daily.

The hotel is clean and tidy however the rooms are showing signs of age and are very tired looking.
The pool is a good size probably one of the biggest in Marmaris you do need to be down early to get a sun bed otherwise you won't get one as non residents are allowed to use the hotel pool and they will get all the beds.
Most staff are pleasant but be aware there were one or two namely the pool bar manager and one of the waiting staff who will try to rip you off. They like you to run a tab up during the day and when you come to settle there are items on there that you never had. I made a point of settling my account at the end of each day, yet the following day I was hit with another bill which they claimed I hadn't paid. When I approached the waiter funny old thing he could no longer speak English. I would advise anyone to pay for things as you get them as myself and a number of guests fell fowl of the tab method. No drinks or food are allowed in the hotel as they want you to pay there inflated prices. They will even try to take it from you if they see you taking any up to your room.
Keep an eye on the mini bar as they will try and add things to your bill even if you haven't had anything. When changing money in the change booths around Marmaris be careful to always check your change as they sometimes make "mistakes", enough said.
In all I would holiday in Marmaris again but I wouldn't stay in the Intermar hotel again. On a positive note the restaurant below the hotel called the Junction was very good and the staff were always pleasant and the food was to a good standard especially the English breakfast at only £2.
