We booked this hotel as a late deal. There was a mix up with the rooms, they did not have availability for the rooms we had previously booked. So our party of 4 adults and 3 children were put into one family room.
The hotel itself is very nice, basic but nice. The pool area is very good, has a water slide, large swimming pool, and children's pool.
The breakfast was horrid, boiled eggs, cheese, salami, cucumber, melon, bread, and olives. Not very appetizing to say the least.
The hotel also has wireless internet connection which we used in the lobby area, you can pick it up on some floors of the hotel but the reception was not that good for us on 5th floor.
The location of the hotel is great on the main strip in Marmaris close to all the shops, bars, and 2 min walk to the beach front. We found that the shops on the main strip were pretty highly priced, as are the supermarkets, shop around for the best price is a must. There were 2 supermarkets very close to the hotel and one was much much cheaper than the other. I would also recommend taking a walk up to the harbor area as shopping here is much better. The indoor market here is also very cheap.
The only thing that disappointed us was the room in the hotel that we stayed in, room 604 (family room) the air conditioning was faulty and leaking all over the electric sockets causing the electrics to trip. They did send someone to fix the leak but after a few days the same thing was happening.. Lots of complaining and moaning had to be done, due to 4 adults and 3 children being on the very top floor of the hotel, and the temp outside reaching 40 degrees was plus the air con not working was a complete nightmare. Sleeping at night was so uncomfortable for us all. We did find out from other people staying at the hotel that they had been previously moved from that room due to the same problems.
The maids did not clean rooms very well, floors we not mopped and towels not changed often. We ended up with no towels at all for the last 3 days of our holiday, we had to use our own beach towels.
You seem to get hassled alot by bar workers, promoters trying to get you to eat / drink at there venues, also by shop workers and market people. It does begin to bother you...
We took a trip on a deep sea diving boat which was amazing, cost 35 liras per person / kids free. It had a glass bottom so you could see fish and sea life. Takes 2 hour tour around differnet cost lines and stops off for a swim and something to eat / drink.
Local driving in Marmaris is crazy, so be careful. Drivers don't stop at crossing for predestrines, Motor bikes mount the pavement, and weave in and out of heavy traffic. Just be extra careful on the road.
Becareful if you go to Marmaris market on a Thur, we found out that there were children working as pick pockets, tried to steal my sister in laws hand bag.
I would stay at this hotel again, just refuse room 604. Our stay in marmaris was ok, not fantastic but I'd go again.

the hotel is brilliant, very clean and the bartenders and employees were really pleasent. would defo go again. the food wasnt nice but i like to eat out when i go away anyway so that didnt bother me, the mini bar was to to expensive so if your plannin on drinkin out of that bar then you need to be a millionare ha. i didnt really like how they only had a shower as i have got a little girl who dosnt like showers but its a holiday and your there to not moan. the entertainment was great. theres a restraunt there called aysha n the food and desserts are the best.

just returned from the intermar hotel in marmaris. as this was booked for are ruby wedding 12 month in advance we was asked which room we wanted, over looking the road or pool . this should have been ready on arrival very basic room large holes in wall be hind bed with wires sticking out, in shower room wires taped up with tape, dust glass cotton buds under bed, dirty patio windows, cleaners did not do there job properly .bar staff brill pool very good. will not return to this hotel again. breakfast room closed dead on 9.30 covers were put over.guest very friendly. fred/sheila/ preston

Very basic hotel. Small rooms. Cleanliness not the best as our towels were rarely changed. Reception staff not very friendly, especially the strange night staff. Breakfast very basic, eggs, cheese, olives, bread. Location the best thing about this hotel, 100 metres from each & nightlife.

I stayed in this hotel in the winter time (so i dont know how things are in the summer time with this hotel)
Any way when i first arrived i got a nice welcome and got my case took to my room (there is a lift in this hotel) i was on the first floor with a pool view. The heater (needed a bit of heat for the winter) wasnt working so the memeber of staff was there and fixed it. The rooms were nice and basic cleaned everyday and the towels werent changed enough though. The bathroom was nice the shower OMG, the shower was a power shower it was the best shower i had in all my life !!!!
The pool was closed (since it was winter time) but it was good sized pool. I went bed and breakfast and the food was turkish it was nice to try something diffrent. The mini bar in the room was expensive so try not to use it. I would like to see what this hotel is like in the summer but winter time was really good. The intermar is building a hairdressers beside the hotel might try in there one day. This hotel is located on the main road up from the point center next door to the adam and eve. Im a fussy person but i found this hotel very good.

this hotel might be ok in summer, but don't go out of season. it is c***. 3 tepid showers in 2 weeks, rest of the time cold water. food not edible. paid for half board, and ate out. extra £140 on my holiday.

just got back from one week in turkey at the intermar hotel.
was a nice hotell clean but is a bit dated.
The rooms are small and the bathroom is only a shower ,is clean but very old.
the pool was ok and the staff was very kind and welcoming.
good location near to everthing.
The food was resonable but did seam to be the same we ate out one nite at the honeymoon resturant on the beach front it was 20tyl for 5 courses and it was beautifull food must recomend the french soup and the steak planck .
on our first nite there was a bbq at the hotel and it was very nice the food was very good.

our 1st night at the intermar was a disater, we where put in room 209, which was on the front side of the hotel. this room must of been the noisiest in the hotel, if not in marmaris, my husband did manage to get to sleep (with his fingers in his ears). next morning we woke and req to be moved which we where without a problem. we where given a pool facing room which was a lot better and a lot quieter. from there on our holiday improved. pool was a great size. couldnt fault the maid service, and room was good size with a great bathroom. the only thing bad i could find is that the receptio staff where not the most friendly we have met. we did not spend much time in the hotel, we went to the beach most days, and ate out each evening, and i think this was the problem. also the mini bar prices where very expensive, even for bottled water. they wanted the same price for a small bottle as what you could pay for a large one across the road in the local shop. they didnt like you taking snacks or drinks up to your room that had not been bought from the hotel. as said previous cant fault the hotel for cleanliness and location was great. so anyone staying there i'm sure your stay will be enjoyable providing you dont get room 209

I Have Recenlty stayed at the intermar and i was great, the food was really nice and the pool was probably the largest ive had in a hotel. all the staff were very nice. the rooms were very clean and the beds got changed 3 times a week. the views are good ... you can either get a main road view or a pool view. i had a main road view which i thought would be really loud but it was actually quieter than the pool side. i loved the hotel and i would deffinately go again.

just arrived back in the uk after having a fabulous week in marmaris. however when we first arrived at 8am on friday 08.08.2008 at the mehtap hotel which we were to be staying we were only to be told that they were fully booked. i wasnt very happy and also all of us very tired from the journey. the turkish guy behind reception who was very apologetic explained that he had a car ready to take us to the intermar. after arriving at the intermar and was settled in we found that the location was still good it only took an extra 2 MINUTES to walk to the beach. all the staff there were very friendly and happy and smiled all of the time especially JIMMY. the food was ok. hotel was clean enough beds changed everyday and clean towels. air conditioning at the intermar is FREE you have to pay elsewhere. went on two boat trips one which was free due to the upsetment at the start of the holiday, really enjoyed both of them. if you like steak you must go to natalies steak house the steak is like a joint of beef on your plate. DELICIOUS. overall a fantastic holiday, just one thing look out for the hot breakdancer, he looks like robbie williams.
