I have just returned from staying at Club Green Dream and this having been my third trip and third hotel in Marmaris, I was very happy.
Admittedly if you booked under the belief that you were staying at Antique Palace as it was, you were missold your holiday but if you booked as I did, through a website that was up to date, you will have known in advance that the slides were no longer part of the hotel.
We stayed on a B&B basis as I'd read that the self catering rooms weren't as nice and for the pittance extra they charge for the breakfast it was a no brainer. We arrived mid afternoon to a warm welcome and a speedy check in. Our bags were taken to our rooms without question. We had 3 rooms between the 6 of us and they were all very clean and well maintained - this continued throughout our stay. We left GHDs, cameras, DS' etc laying around and nothing was ever taken. The cleaners were thorough and friendly and even tidied up my teenage daughters room despite them leaving their clothes everywhere! They were picked up and folded so they could clean the floors (more than I'd do at home for them!).
The staff were brilliant. Those reviewers who complain about the 'attention' you get from the staff - it's Turkey. They all work on commission and lose their jobs if they don't hit targets. They are paid to get you to spend your money in the hotel. They earn between 10 and 25TL a day depending on experience and work their socks off to please the guests. They work long, long hours and stay as long as the guests want to stay up and still arrive the following morning with a smile and a hello.
The food is lovely and so reasonably priced compared with other restaurants off sight. Don't get me wrong, I'm a great believer in going out and enjoying other restaurants etc but for value and quality, you can't complain.
The breakfasts that everyone complains about are traditional Turkish breakfasts - you're in Turkey!!! Why do the Brits assume that when we go abroad we should be served a Full English - do you eat that every day at home? There is lovely bread and jam and cereals if you don't like the Turkish Breakfast and the snacks menu offers bacon rolls and scrambled eggs at very reasonable prices.
The entertainment is fantastic - the staff are all great fun and brought my daugheters completely out of their shells. Dancing, cocktails etc; everything you'd expect from a good Turkish hotel but better. So much so that we are returning in October for a pre winter treat. Will continue to return to Marmaris and unless it changes, will never stay anywhere else again.
Much love to all the staff; Fabio, Baran, the Mehmets, Icecream man (who is hilarious), Nigem, Mustafa, Haci, Murat, Sonic (the barman with the crazy hair) and many more, including Attila the boss. See you in October guys xxx

Better late than never i suppose.
I stayed here in sept 2010 and had a great time.
All the guys in the restaurant were really friendly and never once took advantage of me being the tourist. My room was good and cleaned every day. Some people did complain while i was there though. They seem to be forgetting the Turkish way of life and star rating.
This is not the Hilton and nor are the prices.
So the air con might be dripping down the wall or the shower head is loose. I never had a thing touched in my room, even left cash out one day!
If you're looking for a place to shower and sleep then it's ideal, but not the place for an all inclusive package.

i wouldnt reccomend this hotel, our room was really dirty and hardly got cleaned, you had to put your shoes on straight away when you got out of the shower or your feet would get so black you couldnt wash it off. Also money kept going missing out of our safe,we were blaming each other until one day we counted all our money and checked it an hour later to find over 100 lira had gone missing,we think the maids have a spare key and help themselves. We also found things quite expensive and were permenantly harrased to buy drinks,go to the hairdressers all the time, buy there crap perfumes, they just want your money. The men are very sleazy and dont leave you alone, they even said english women are all slags. They grab you all the time, try and grope you and the waiters all come and whisper to you to go for a walk when they finish work at midnight,we all know what they are expecting. We were glad to get home and thought that we could forget this horrible holiday only to find out i had a serious ecoli infection and 3 months on am still having problems with my kidneys, also certain staff found my daughter who is 16yrs old on facebook and started sending her death threats, not very nice at all, they said they would come and get her and chop her into tiny pieces all because she didnt fancy them.I will never be going to turkey ever again as i think they are only after our money, the young girls and also i dont think they like us.Also if you dont give them a tip they keep your change instead and put drinks on your bill at the bar for themselves.Iwould never reccomend pervy pallace to anyone...........

Hotel not too bad but the restaurant leaves a hell of a lot to be desired! very good the first couple of days then went down hill rapidly. We were half board, at breakfast we had to sit seperately to the other guests, there wasn't one day when the tea and coffee machine didn't break down! the evening meal was a joke, because we didn't book our halfboard through the hotel we had a set menu by tues evening the food started to run out for the puddings and we were getting ignored, so much for a three course meal and please take my advice don't bother with the roast, waste of money! we eneded up eating out for the last two and a half days of the holiday

We arrived in this hotel after a 19 hr trip from home due to problems with the plane. We were really tired & told the lift didnt work & we had to carry our cases up 4 floors! As we arrived 2 seperate groups of pple said basically that the hotel was really bad :( The room was disgusting & dirty, we had no TV (not a problem cos we dont watch it on hol). The photos & info in Thomas Cook brochure was all fake. The aircon in bed room didnt cool the other room so me & my partner slept with wet towels on us all night. The next day someone came to look at it but never did anything. The shower kept flooding the bathroom floor. The bathroom was dark & dingy & the whole place was never cleaned properly. There was holes in wall & aircon taped together! My partner & little girl got ill. The only good thing about the place was the waiters they did a brill job & were so friendly. We ended up 4 of us sleeping in 1 double bed, my partner, me & my 17 & 9 yr old daughters! In the end we managed to carry a really heavy sofa bed into the bedroom but could only just fit out of the bedroom door. I dont go on holiday to spend it moving furniture & crying!
After a week we got moved to Hibiscus Gardens & what a totally different place it was. So clean & staff were all friendly. I have never been to Turkey before & would NEVER go again :( Please believe all these bad reviews because they are all true.

I dont normally write reviews on holidays but really felt like i should this time as this holiday was a holiday from hell! i travelled with my husband and my two young boys, when we got to the hotel it was about 1am and there wasnt a lot of staff about, we checked in and was taken to a bassment room which looked like a prison cell with two matresses on the floor for the bed, wires hanging out of the walls, dramp everywhere, the patio doors didnt open properly as they hit the wall, whitch led underneath the slides. We were moved as we refused to stay in that room, after a long time of complaining we was moved to a hotel room but we had paid for self catering and it only had three beds (there were four of us). In the morning we went to the reception to be moved again only to be moved to a apartment that had no furniture in it we were informed that they had the bailifts in a couple of weeks before and they had taken all the kitchens and furniture and left empty shells. After complaining again we were moved for the fourth time to a room that was ok after i had cleaned it.we did not pay for 5* but we did think it would be clean the maids only came around after i complained after 10 days that are sheets and towels hadnt been changed. We did make the most of our holiday and enjoyed eating out of the hotel as it was very expensive, the red rose and the cheshire bar which where only five mins away were very nice.

I spent a sleepless night the night b4 my family and i left for our holiday to the Antique Paace, this was due to reading many varied reviews on the hotel. My review is based on my familys holiday which we have just arried back from yesterday.
The hotel is in need of up dating and redecorating but we found our room to be clean, maids came in daily, towels and bedding changed on a regular basis. The communal toilet areas were awful!
The outstanding part of our holiday was the atmosphere around the pool and bar/restaurant area. The waiters were wonderful, energitic friendly happy and very accommodating, yes they do try to get you to eat there but every restaurant that you walk past in Marmaris does the same, all are competing for trade. We had a brilliant time thanks to many people inc Omar, Diago, Carlos, Alex Harry and many more.

Hi. I returned from this hotel yesterday and i wanted to write a review that is based entirely on honesty. This is the worst hotel i have ever visited. When i checked in and was shown my room, my wife and i could not believe our eyes as there was dead cockroachs sitting on the pillow!!
We had our room cleaned once and had various items taken like the fridge, seat in the bedroom and my ipod!! we were never told what happened to it only for the manager to berate me for leaving it lying around.
There was 5 rooms quarantined due to an infestation and when i asked what the infestation was i was told to mind my own business!
my wife has is recovering from an operation and cleanliness is a must but in my 50 years i have never saw standards so bad. The treatment given to guests is unimaginable, once they get your money - forget everything else.
I saw two gay chaps treated with such distain it was embarrassing to watch, they were ridiculed, pointed at and made such a show of - do yourself a favour book somehere else or sleep on the beach.

Myself and two friends (ages 17-18) stayed here for a week and what was meant to be a girly holiday away turned in to a disaster.
We arrived after flying through the night, completely shattered and in need of a sleep. We'd booked a room with 4 single beds. We were greeted with a tiny apartment room, with a double bed and a tiny cot like sofa, impossible to lie down on. It was clearly a family room-not what we'd asked for. We went down to reception and explained our situation. The woman behind the desk assured us that a maid would be up soon to sort it out, so we went back up. 2 hours later and still no bed, we went back down to ask again, and again were told someone would sort it out soon. It took 3 more times asking and about 7 hours later (not even slightly exaggerated) for a single mattress to be brought into our room, dumped on the floor with a sheet.
The second disaster of the trip was the electricity and water cutting out, in the middle of a shower. This also meant the toilet would not flush.
As it is so hot in Turkey, you have to drink lots of bottled water, and the fridge didn't provide allot of coldness so we came up with an effective way of putting our water bottles in the freezer compartment in the fridge to keep them cool. On our third day, we had organised to go on a safari, and came in at about 4 oclock, very hot, sweaty and tired. WE were greeted with no electricity or water again, a missing fridge!!( yes actually missing as in had been taken out of the wall and completely dissapeared) and all our food that had been in the fridge was no lying on top of the work surface, all warm including our once chilled water.
Walking in to the bedroom I noticed that our air conditioning had also been ripped out, with bits of rubble, wires and nails littering the ground.
The wooden side chest of drawers was also missing, with all our items which had been in it, moved into another drawer.
When we went down to complain we were given a complaints from to fill in by our rep, but have heard nothing back.
The next day we came back to find a small fridge, with no freezer and barely cold.
Also I'd like to point out that upon entering the hotel you see a sign saying that the maids will clean your room every day and clean towels and linen every three days. Our room was cleaned TWICE during our 7 day stay and our towels and linen NEVER replaced.
There was also no sense of privacy during our stay because work men barged in on more than one occasion, unlocking our doors with us inside the room, to put back up the air con, leaving more rubble and dirt everywhere. we were never once offered an explanation regarding our missing fridge, chest of drawers and air con.
On top of all this the staff were incompetent and unhelpful, the bar men, who seemed lovely to kids, were pushy and annoying towards young girls like us. The loud music from the bar went on till around three in the morning making it impossible to sleep, and the waiters pressured you to eat at the hotel and stay there at night whenever you walked past, event though the food and drink was over priced.
I know there is other reviews on here saying to ignore the negative ones, and thats the mind set we went on holiday with. We weren't expecting anything extravagant, we were expecting what we'd paid for but this hotel was worse than anything I'd imagined. Please take my advice and do not stay here, there seemed to be allot of other hotels nearby, and Marmaris is a great place so choose one of them instead!

I would just like to say that Antique palace has something for everyone.
If you have young kids (10 and under) there is a KIDZ CLUB which Is open for lots of hours in the day, and you see children running to their parents with the painting and things they have made. I happened to take a glance in the window where the club is held and I saw the children learning dances and watching dvds-They all looked like they were having great fun!!!
If your a teenager (like myself), there is so much to do! Shops, a number 2 dolmus/bus just outside the hotel which takes you to the town centre and shops! and within the hotel there are places to get your hair/nails/eyebrows done etc... and a barbers for the boys. The slide is great fun and the pools are lovely.
If you are around 30-40 (middle aged) like my mum is, you will also have a great time! My mum enjoyed the food, the entertainment, the atmosphere and whilst I bombed down the slide she sat and read one of her books in the sun and then went for a swim whilst enjoying an ice cold drink beside the pool! she told me she would love to go back again!
If you're elderly, then in the day beside the pool is quiet and the atmosphere is great! You can grab a book and relax beside a quiet bit of the pool with a few drinks and snacks. There are rooms and apartments on the ground floor that you can get on request to avoid the stairs. You will love your stay.
The staff are friendly, the food is great, theres lots to do and THERES SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE!!!
PLEASE STAY, Beth x x
