slightly put off by all the negative reviews i read! went with 4 other lads! as we arrived at about 1am we went straight in to reception where we were greeted by the receptionist, he was very helpfull although he couldnt speak much english! within 5 mins we had the keys and were taken to the appartments by the security guard!
the appartments were spotless apart from the cooker which had a bit of grime on the inside! we had 1 cockroach in our apartment all holiday due to the guys fumeigating the drains! the security inside the apartment was fine! all we did was slide the little wooden coffee table in the patio door so it couldnt be opened from the outside which took no more than 5 seconds.
the maid came most days out of the 2 weeks and we always got fresh towels and bed sheets! the thomas cook rep was also extremly helpful, always asking if we were ok and helped us if we needed anything or just there for a chat!
the poolside bar was great, nice friendly staff and the food was spot on! each night they were showing the football games and 2 films!
the only reason i am rating this a 9 is beacause the pool side bar didnt serve carling!!!!!
dont be put off by mindless comments! you get what you pay for, these are basic appartments!

Four adults stayed here, two of us had our own room, and the other two adults had to sleep on put up beds in the lounge, this was not made clear.
the maid came once, when she was supposed to come 4 times.
staff were unhelpful and took 200euros off each of us for damages.
our bikinis got stolen off our balcony.
was suposed to be a family resort, lots of drunk and noisy people at night.
good points
far enough away from the strip
close to beach
clost to water park

Me and my partner were looking forward to going back to Malibu Park after our 1st holiday there. When we arrived at 2 in the morning we were tired from the travelling then we walked into the apartment from hell.
To start when we got into the apartment it was the beds we first noticed. It was like we were the children sleeping on camp beds. I don't expect to pay full wack for my holiday and sleep on metal framed beds with wooden slats with a mattress chucked on top (Camp Beds basically). The noise outside of the pubs emptying the bottles into the bottle bank and 2 in the morning wasn't very clever. As we arrived late the lights were awful and we didn't notice the dirt til the following morning. When waking up and noticing the dirt on the outside and inside of the fridge, the corroded taps in the sink in kitchen, bathroom and bath, the balcony doors were awul with a notice about the wooden stick. We went and told the rep at 8.30am and she came down and had 2 sets of keys for 2 apartments and offered to show us them. When going to look at these the incompetency of the staff at reception gave her 1 key for an apartment that was already occupied and the occupants were woken by us trying to get in and the other room well it was the wrong key so we couldn't get in. We were told she would get back to us. As promised she got back to us that evening with the offer to move at a COST OF 116 EUROS. We were only there a week and we had already paid full wack so there was no way we were paying that. We were not offered anything else.
All the week we were there they couldn't have moped the floor once as our daily routine was come in get showered get ready to go out but before we could go we had to wash our feet again as they were black with dirt. Our beds were not changed once while we were there all they done was make them. I heard other people complaining about the same thing and from the reviews why don't they try and do something about it because if they did it would be a nice place to stay like it was before. We seen 3 cockroaches.

7 of us stayed in the Malibu Apartments for a week returning on 4th June 2008. 5 Adults and 2 children 11 and 13. We all really enjoyed the stay, between us we had 3 different Apartments, different sizes and views. I have to say each room was really nice and so were all the views.
I do not understand why anyone else has complained, you must be very unlucky to have so many bad things happen when you have 1 room and we had 3 rooms and they were all just fine, Ummmm!!!

just back from tenerife yesterday 27/5/08 i found malibu park dead on for the first few day then we had no hot water and wen the man came 2 fix it we got flooded so we had 2 be charged apaertment it wasnt to bad because it was the one next door. if u are the age between 18-25 they arent the apartments 4 u we had a night out with some friends we meet there and were singing when we got out of a taxi and had the police phone for us. watch eating the crisp from the shop or pool bar because they be out of date. the pool area was really good and the food at the pool is lovely. are apartments were clean everyday besides sat and sunday. the night staff at recp isnt very nice at all. but in the end we made are on hoilday and really enjoyed it just wouldnt go back 2 the same apartments.

Me and my boyfriend returned from Malibu Park 02.05.08. I thought that the accomadation was great. Really nice staff members, the food was lovely, shop had everything you needed etc. The apartments were slightly dirty but nothing a bit of bleach didnt solve. I think you make your own holiday so do not be put off by the negative comments, as the complex was lovely and we had a fab time! only thing is dont bother paying for a meal on the plane it was horrible and make sure your sitting next to whoever your on holiday with as we werent. but the holiday was fab!!

After reading the reviews for malibu park i was very aprehensive about going on holiday to malibu park however i was reaaly impressed with my overall holiday and accomadation. the rooms were nice and clean, towels were changed every couple of days and it was everything we needed. all staff were friendly however reception and security staff didnt speak alot of english. there were a few cocroaches but nothing to bad! the pool area and bar was lovely i have no complaints there. location wasnt the best as we had to get taxis everywhere but they dont cost alot so it was fine. a holiday is what you make it and these people who expect the ritz, complain and expect perfection should be prepared to pay extra for that... overall i was impressed with malibu park and my holiday, my advice to anyone who reads all the bad reviews before going is to ignore them and enjoy the positives of malibu park not look for negatives!

Excellent Holiday. Pool lovely Staff friendly... The only down side was I was pregnant at the time of the holiday and wasnt told that the hotel is up a hill! Also a bit out the way from the main drag! Las Americas. If you are a walker then this hotel is for you! The little cafes at the bottom of the hill arevery cheap for food, especially breakfasts! I recommend going to the Irish pub, what a laugh we had!!

Took my two granchildren {12 & 9} in march, not sure what to expect after reading reviews BUT... was very pleased with all service, staff very helpful & sociable, couldnt have asked for more. Children loved it & did not want to come home. Beach was beautiful, pool very clean & safe. Free bus available to take you to the beach, shops & surounding local area. No complaints at all & will be going back again. Sheila. Jess & Thomas, liverpool> :-}

My partner and I stayed here for a week we went for a quiet week away. The apartment was absolutely filthy we had no shower for 4 days as they kept saying they couldn't get the part, there was no lock at all on the balcony door and the piece of wood that was used to lock it was snapped in half so basically anyone could get into our room if they wished. We asked for the room to be fumigated because we was over run with cockroaches one of which had crawled into my bed my partner nearly died with fright. We had to walk through like a subway to get to our room which was scary and the second night the lights went and they wasn't fixed still when we left. We complained to the reps who basically couldn't help us all we got told was it would cost another £500 to put us somewhere else which to me is absolutely disgusting. There was dog muck on the walkway to the reception and it was there for 4 days just how dirty is that when children are playing?I'm afraid thomas cook this is the worst holiday i've ever had with you and we book two every year but not a chance we will go with another tour operator for our next one later this year. Not one person had anything nice to say about the place when we were there. We was self catering but we had no toaster one pan and a tea pot with no lid that we used to boil water in for a cup of coffee it was the pits.
