hello i've seen all the negative comments and would just like too add that we love Malibu park. we are now returning next week for our third visit. the only thing that went wrong were flight delays and my mobile was lost but none of this was the Malibu park apartments fault. staff very friendly, maids were polite, and the apartment clean. my fave part is the pool and second the lovely splash, pool bar, were the food was lovely, had great staff and entertainment was good. cant wait to return.
would also recommend trying Lito's cafe, downstairs and a must is the Go-Kart trip!!

Sep 2008, Miss S Henson

hi, just returned from our 2wks stay at the malibu park, this was a third time at the malibu park and will be the last. we had appartment 2013 which wasnt to bad, apart from the dirty walls/floors, balcony had a lovely veiw but was half tiled and half gravel which was a pain. very noisey neighbours next door arguing at all hours in the morning, becky the rep sorted that lot out. maid service everyday except weekends ( didnt do much though never had clean bedding once in the whole 2 wks ). pool area ok a few broken tiles though so you will have to watch the littles ones and very very slippy when wet. managed to get sun loungers every morning. no parasols have to be hired from reception. pool bar ok if you want a light snack. eat at the terrace bar at the front of the complex much nicer people,on site mini market a rip off go to the spar underneath the malibu. there is a few cats round the complex but they are freindly enough. there were no breakins while we was there not that we heard of anyway however there were people complaining about there rooms though.eating out at night time there is some good places but you have to look for them (francis steak house is excellent) just down the hill and over the motorway bridge, try garfields aswell the compere scott is a fantastic singer.i could go on forever writing about my holiday but i wont, all in all i would say malibu park has gone considerably down hill and should be down graded from a 3* to maybe a 1* or 2* i will no doubt return to tenerife but will not be staying in malibu park again

when i read the reviews online about malibu park i thought about swapping apartments all i can say is that im glad i didnt, what i beautiful place to stay. its close to eveything you need right opposite the aqua park and the beach just a short walk away its perfect, we had clean towels and the room was cleaned everyday except for the weekend, but maids have got to have a day off too!!! we seen 1 cockroach the whole time we were there, so please do not listen to the bad reviews because it would be a shame

Sep 2008, Mrs K Guiness

after reading the reviews we were dreading our holiday to malibu park. we were right to the complex itself was very basic and dirty.our bathroom ceilling in room 2010 was like nothing ive ever seen in a appartment complex before this room was not fit for anyone to stay in, the ceiling was thick mould and the smell was unbelieveable we also had not one drop of hot water during our two week stay which was reported to the rep becca who seems very under qualified for the job. we repoted this 4 times in total and still nothing. in the end we saw another rep called michelle who was only there for 1 day and she could not believe her eyes when she saw this.on the last day of our holiday the ceiling also started leaking water through the bathroom and into the light fitting my husband was so close to been electricuted it was then they moved us our room.
as for the pool where are all the sun canopys that are pictured in the brouchers? oh yes you have to rent them from the recepion along with the safty deposit boxes. do not take white swim wear for yourselfs or your children because they will turn yellow the cheaper the better. the food round the pool bar was excellent and served very fast (this was the only positive thing i have to say about the place)

Sep 2008, Mr G Bentley

apartment was not fit to be let, fridge was red with rust, floors to apartment and pool had badly cracked or missing tiles, some apartments where broken into, security was a joke, windows broken during a fight, most apartments are owned by local people the rest are let out to holiday companies, problems with cockroaches, and cats.
the malibu park has a 3 star rating, this truely should be a 1 star apartment unit at the very most.
most days other holiday makers where in front of you to complain to the rep or staff,i truely must state the did seem to listen , but did very little else.
dont take my word ,if you are ever in tenerife, please check the malibu park out , you shall write back and state that i have missed other items you yourself have seen..

Sep 2008, Mrs A Bartlett

Well what can I say, this is just about the worst place anyone can book a holiday. We had to change appartment immediately when we arrived, first had flooded floor and lights falling off. On entering the 2nd appartment we were greeted by a massive cockroache in the bathroom, and it was filthy. The rest of the appt was disgusting and although we complained the next morn to rep Becca, who is totally powerless to see that anything is done, didnt seem at all concerned about what filth we were expected to live in. A cleaner came in on Sun, oh yes they do work at w/e, but the cleaner spent 2 mins in the bathroom no where eslse. I could go on about the dirt of these appts but I think you have all got the picture by now. Am going back to Tenerife, but never ever Malibu Park, dont even think about spending your hard earned cash by booking to go anywhere near there

We went away with a total of 12 of...

Sep 2008, Ms LM

We went away with a total of 12 of us, first load arriving an earlier week, then a few more the next then the final 4 on the friday. I arrived last, to be welcomed by my friends, we arrived quite late and was last to get off the coach! Checkin in was easy enough and the security guard showed us to our room. We wer quite impressed, it was our first holiday alone and we didnt expect 5* luxury.
Malibu Park has the basics to everything, we got what we paid for. If you want it to be perfect then pay for 5*!
Our room was for 4 people and we was more than comfortable, although our shower broke on the second day as it was leaking into the guests room below. Lucky for us our friends were ther so we could use there shower, and toilet!
We did complain at the reception and a man came out to fix it, Becca helped alot to. The man was useless an just installed a new shower. The leak was still hapening and our water got turned off again. Just before the end of our first week, we wer moved to another room, it was smaller but we prefered the view of the aqua park rather than the noisy pool! Becca our rep was great, she talked to us a lot and sorted us out with some excursions, defo worth doing if your aged 18-25. The School Skive was good!! We never had 1 cockroach in either of our apartments. The maid was snotty and was trying to get us to pay a fine because we had a bed on the balcony! It was hot and no air conditioning. Becca sorted this out for us. Overall Malibu Park was good, i would return with my mates. The security guards are a bit moody but ther harmless, we was jumping in the pool at 5am! Although its official rating is only 2* it defo reached my expectations and all 11 of my friends enjoyed it to! Dont be put off by bad reviews!!!

Where do I start?!!!! Me and my new husband have just come back after spending our 2 week honeymoon at Malibu Park, hmmmm, I am amazed that this place was even recommended to us especially as it was our honeymoon! Going Places/Thomas Cook I would be ashamed of yourselves!!!!! We arrived mid afternoon and were greeted by a nice receptionist (the only one who can speak english yet works part time!) who kindly gave us a "map" to get to our room. This of course did not help and we asked 4 people, all of whom could not speak any english, for directions this did not help and after 1/2 hour we found it of our own accord. We stepped into the dimly lit room and opened the curtains to the balcony, our "pool view" was of tennis courts, a car park and a building site!!!! I promptly dropped my case and went to reception and politely explained that although we were not expecting 5 star, as it was our honeymoon I had requested a pool view and wanted to be moved! I was told nothing could be done until Friday (it was Tuesday!) so we agreed to see how things were until Friday then come back and see the nice receptionist as she was off Wednesdays and Thursdays! After spending 1 night in that apartment we were ready to book a flight home! The ignorant spanish family next door were sooooooo noisy (oh yes, travel agents will "forget" to tell you it is part residential/holiday homes owned by the spanish) and the spanish man round the corner singing at the top of his voice at 2am prompted my husband to go and get the OAP...sorry I mean security guard, again who does not speak/understand english to go and tell the man to be quiet! The security guard and the man had a spanish conversation and my husband, after a 10minute game of charades with the "security" man was told nothing was wrong! The next morning after 1 hours sleep went to see the rep about being moved! Becca, the rep, was lovely and spoke to reception, however we were told again that nothing could be done until the Friday! After 3 nights of no sleep because of the single group above us running around and dragging furniture about at all hours, the spanish sinatra and the rude family next door, we FINALLY were told a pool view room was available and to pack our bags. We were then told it would be available at 3pm, it was 9AM! 6 hours of waiting with our passports and all of our money by the pool we were able to get in the room. This was clean but there was no lock/security on the balcony door. We had hired a safe but suprise suprise were given the wrong key. I went to reception and explained and asked for the correct key, only to be told in poor english that a technician would come. I said nothing was broken so I didn't need a technician just a key, the receptionist then put her hand up in my face and answered a phonecall! VERY RUDE STAFF! Anyway a technician arrived after 1/2 hour (oh yes he could not speak/understand english!) he then tried to prise the safe door open with the wrong key then disappeared, he came back 10 minutes later waving a key in my face saying "key" "key" as if to say: "der, all you needed was the correct key!" I was less than impressed 4 days in to my holiday nor was my husband!
The pool is horrendous! So dirty and only got cleaned once while were there! We were in it and a spanish guy halwked up the biggest amount of flem and spat it in the pool! I got out quicker than I got in! I was then told by another guest that the day before someone had been sick in it and a child had had an accident in it! When this happened it was just fished out with a net!!!! Unfortunately as it was so hot, we had to use the pool to cool down so due to the implications posed on our health ie dissentary, we decided to buy li-lo's to ensure our heads were above water at all times! Disgusting! The li-lo's also doubled up as sunbeds as there were never any free by 7:30am although there are signs clearly stating that sunbeds are not to be reserved! But as there is a massive lack of staff in this complex any rules are thrown out of the window! Oh yes, i'll also add that one of the many "rule signs" also state no dogs on the complex (whether this is because the mangey cats that roam the complex may fear them, I don't know?) however, a man managed to not only walk in with his dog, but allowed it to jump into the childrens pool while kids were playing in it!!!!!!! Yes you've guessed it....no staff to say anything!
Talking about men just walking in, i'll also add the fact that our rep was robbed in reception! She had left her desk to deal with ANOTHER complaint by someone. At the time there were staff at the reception desk, but as they only seem to stay there for 1 minute at a time before going on a 1/2 hour break, a man (non-guest) walked in and stole money from her desk! unbelieveable, totally enstills confidence in the security doesn't it!
I could go on even longer but hey I think you get the jist! I would not recommend Malibu Park to a lame dog! Never ever ever ever again!

Aug 2008, Mrs Amanda Baker

After reading some of the reviews I like many people was wondering what on earth I had done, but after returning last week I just wanted to let other people know that it is not as bad as you are probably expecting it to be after reading some of the comments. The appartments are not really 3 star and could have been cleaned better, there were clean towels every week day and the bedding changed every few days. Ok so I felt the need to buy a cloth to wipe surfaces with but really it wasnt too bad.We only had 2 cockroaches in the 2 weeks we were there and were disposed of easily. Any problems were dealt with promptly and if you are polite to the staff things get done very easily!! There are not enough sun loungers and although they are not supposed to be reserved they are, we bought some li-lo's from the shop and used them when we couldnt get a sun bed so not a big problem really. On the whole it was an enjoyable holiday fabulous weather and if you see Claire the sun care advisor buy some of her after sun lotion its fabulous.

Very clean apartments. Maids did an excellent job of cleaning them almost everyday. Friendly reception staff. The only bad point was the depth of the pool which was 1m 90cm which was very deep for most people. I would recommend this to families.
