we have just come back from a two week stay at this hotel july 2010 the only good thing i can say about this place is the maid service the apartment was always clean but thats about it the rooms were small bad facilites and walls were paper thin every night we had people up till early hours scream slamming doors and when we complained to the reception staff they were rude and very unhelpful nothing got done i really would advise any person thinking of staying here not to it will ruin your holiday
- Advice: not to go anywhere near

i stayed at the malibu park apartments at easter 2010 with my son who's 8. the apartments are spotless and huge , the cleaners worked all hours every day, the complex is pretty to look at and the pool is small but very clean. but that's where the fun ends. there was 'entertainment' at night in the bar on site (only ever had one person in). the entertainment in the main town (which, trust me is a trek and a half-all down hill and marble type pavements. surprised we didn't break our necks) is not exactly child friendly and is karaoke in EVERY bar. great at 1st...but we like to watch shows/caberet. the malibu apartments are not ideally situated if you have small children.
it's very very cheap to eat out in the main town which was a bonus. we found we ate out at dinner and tea just to break up the day. we found an excellent irish bar on the last day (typical). the guy who worked there was lovely and told me they had entertainment every night. gutted.
overall tenerife is ok but way too quiet for us. the malibu apartments were fine other than the lack of evening entertainment. we won't go be going back. we had more fun at the airport on the way home. haha
- Advice: ok but sooooooooo quiet

every time i come back to malibu park i have an amazing time, i even go back on my own when i want to chill out as i know the people who work there now and they look after me like family, the next door bar is great with down to earth people working there who enjoy a good laugh with you ,then you have the splash bar right next to 2 big pools 1 adult pool and 1 kids pool an a kids park. this is a big complex very clean and tidy every time ive been there the cleaners av been there 4/5 times a week which is great compared to were ive stayed b4,there is a lift and easy access 4 disabled people to an from the complex an stairs for non disabled also over the road is the aqua park a great day out for all familys 10 mins down the road is sian park which is truly brilliant with a man made beach inside and all the waterslides u cud ever imagine, resturants an bars all around the bottom of the complex and shops this place is just perfect for all, il be there to watch the world cup then back in oct if u go here u will know why i come back enjoy .

just got from Malibu Park last night (14/03/2010) and i couldnt wait to get on here and write about how good it was!! as reading the other reviews i was really worried about going!
The room was lovely and clean maids were in every day, maybe they could do with a lick a paint but who cares?? your on holiday. The pool area is lovely and the veiws from the pool are mint!! there is 3 bars which all do a lovley cold beer but i would say if your going to eat in any of them it has to be the one next to car park very yummy and good value for money!! Also i cant forgot the staff they are lovely people and couldnt do eough for you.
if you have days out do the water park 'siam park' its about a 20 min walk away form the apatments DONT GO TO THE NEARST THE APATMENTS siam park is the best they have picked the 5 worlds biggest water rides and put them in one also the is a beach in the water park. we were all day and it felt like a few hours!!
its a bit of walk to the center but in a taxie its £7.
i would defo go back to these apatments really loved it.

Guys, Don't listen to all the bad reviews about malibu park. Ive just got back and had a wonderful time. The staff are friendly and helpful- mainly engish staff. Apartments large and well equiped, lovely pool area with pool bar and sunbeds , complex as a whole very nice.
Maids came daily to change towels and make bed. Prices in hotel for food/drink great. Granted it is up a hill though and not very close to las americas, however the area does still have plentiful resturants, shops, lively bars and entertainment. - and if walking back up the hill at end of night is too much taxis are only a few euro. ( Im in my early 20's and taxi well worth it to save cardiac arrest haha)
complex seemed quiet and relaxing probs due to winter months however was a mixture of young couples, friend groups and famillys.
Im guessing the bad reviews are from people expecting 5 star luxury - This is a 3 star hotel!
dont miss Siam water park its amazing and loro park worth a trip as well.

the complex is clean and tidy with lots of beutiful flowers all round the complex. would not advise any one with walking problems to visit. the apartment we had has a bath complety rusted away round th edges the kitchen sink tap was not even fastened to the sink unit and wobbled about and i was almost scolded when i turned on the hot water. bedding was changed twice in th week, never any toilet rolls left and when they took the dirty towells never brought any clean back. we though we were the only people there it was deserted. looks like it is on its last legs. saying that the whole area round malabu is deserted, what a shame because the area is great. dont bother with the cafe on site go to lito's at the bottom of the hill.
- Advice: complex good but apartment digusting

Just got back from two weeks at Malibu Park (22nd Dec 2009 -5th Jan 2010). No problems on arrival, booked straight in and room easy to locate if you followed map. Room standard for spanish 3 star accommodation, everything in place, kitchen in working order, yes the bathrooms could do with being updated but did the job. The corridors can be quite noisy on a night time but only because of the echoes. Pool bar fantastic and friendly, good cheap (particularly with the euro at the moment) easy food and lots of sports on at night time including English football, darts - infact they will put on anything you ask for, big screen showing movies every couple of nights. Pool cleaned every night. Sunbeds a plenty. Fantastic park for the kids with only one exit so you can watch them play whilst soaking up the sun. The bar at reception was more expensive than the pool bar and a bit naff with Karaoke sung by the bar staff every night.
Malibu Park is quite a walk from the main areas - 10 mins to San Eugenio or Torviscas, 15 mins to Puerto Colon and 30 mins to main Las Americas area but easy to get to if you don't mind a walk to freshen up before you eat. Taxi back (due to the heart attack hills) ranged from 3 euro to 9 euro (New Years Eve at 2 in the morning).
Below the apartments there is a Spar, Chinese, traditional spanish cafe, english cafe, excursion shop (we booked there and was very happy with the service).
Good days out included - Siam Park (great but very expensive), Loro Park with the new Orka Whale show (fantastic day out, we go everytime we are in Tenerife) and the Medievil Night (expensive for what it is - better off staying in the local town and spending 100 euro there).
One break in whilst we were there but the family had left their balcony door open so inevitable really.
Overall had a fantastic holiday, everyone very friendly, would stay again if I went alone with my daughter as it has everything you need in one place.

One word of advice! spend the money to buy the air condition rathers than leave your varanda door open! wether your on the ground floor or the top floor. As in our stay a man came into our room and was standing over my dad and if i didnt come in later it would have been me standing there!! the varanda door was only open because its far to hot to sleep with it closed. and there was 6 other break ins that same week!
but in the rest of our stay it was ok, but our bed sheets and towels only got changed twice in the two weeks we were there. keep shoes on when your walking about in your room as your feet will be black. the reception were not very helpful and the rep was never to be seen. sunbeds? if u want a sunbed you will have to get up at half 6-7 to get one and once you get it keep grad of it! as if you get up theres big chances of your towels geting took off the beds and your bed being took!

We have just returned from the Malibu Park Apartments and have mixed feelings. The surroundings are pretty, the pool area looks nice and the actual apartment balcony was really big with a lovely view of the tennis courts and the sea, however there were 4 of us and only three chairs, (shortage). We arrived New Years Eve and were told they had a shortage of bedding, one of our party had to use a towel. This lasted two nights which I thought was totally unacceptable. There were bugs in the fridge and the area around the fridge was dirty. There were only a few glasses, barely any cutlery and one big casserole dish. There was no toaster or microwave. We realise it is a 3 star hotel but this was ridiculous. Every other time we have stayed self catering, even in Greece, we have always had toaster, microwave etc. There wasn't an electric kettle, only a stove one which took forever to warm up. The bathroom was delapidated, the shower barely worked, the pressure was just about non existent and the toilet area was unreal. There was a washer stuck right next to the toilet (Room 4001), and we had to sit at an angle, luckily for us all our party are small framed. The bedding was changed once and the towels were also changed once. We didn't expect five star service but this was unacceptable. We are talking about basic hygiene and toiletry needs. The wardrobes were just about hanging together, the two beds in the living area were basically a mattress on a bit of plywood (we could live with this) but for older people I think it would cause problems. We weren't overly impressed with the bar either. We didn't mind the walk up and down the hill and thoroughly enjoyed the local area and bars/restaurants, particularly Torviscas Indian Place on the front, fantastic food. We are going back to Las Americas next January but certainly not the Malibu Park.
