Fantastic holiday :)

Aug 2011, Natzz

Just come back from a two week stay at Roc Oasis Park apartments in Menorcca. The hotel needs to be brought up to date but it was still nice to stay in. The rooms were simple but had everything you needed. The reps where amazing getting everyone involved in the daytime activities, e.g french balls or the fiesta game which was always loads of fun for adults and children. The entertainment at night was OK, the reps got people involved and always made us laugh. The food was nice enough with a good selection to choose from. There was a kids club where children could go in and out on their own accord. We always sat and watched my brother, aged eight play a football match every few day which he always seemed to enjoy. There are two pools but we stayed round the main one where we joined in with other activities such as water polo. We met so many nice people who made our holiday even better. There are no big beaches, just small coves, one of which is next to the hotel. The resort its self was very child orientated, with bouncy castles in every pub. I wouldn't recommend the place to people who are wanting to party every night, although there is one disco, but Cala, n fore-cat is mainly for families. If on self-catering, there are plenty of places to eat out or you can change to half-board at a reduction with the staff been very helpful. Over all the apartments were clean and we had a fantastic holiday and we are planning on returning in the future.

Spent one week self-catering. Apartments are basic but clean. Great location within resort, staff friendly and efficient. Excellent childrens pool. Sunbeds usually claimed by 09.30am!! Plenty entertainment for kids, quite noisy in that loudspeakers blare out around main pool afternoon and upto approx 11.00 pm so unless you want to hear "BINGO" every night, request a room away from main pool! Heard not very good comments about food and was disappointed by an advertised bbq night the hotel offers as we paid for it expecting bbq, entertainment etc but ended up just eating with the all inclusive guests at their normal evening meal!! Wasnt very impressed!! Beaches small, only went twice. Resort very child orientated. Bouncy castles and trampolines galore, great for kids aged 10 and under but one week was enough. Water park looks impressive on brochure but quite small for the price! Had an enjoyable week but lack of a decent beach, a harbour and a bit of "real menorca" would stop a return visit!!

Just back went with my husband and 2 boys ages 9 and 7, had a great holiday kids and husband had a fantastic time as there was loads of activities for all as i sat at the pool sunning myself. Staff were fantastic tried their best with the nights entertainment even if it wasn't very good we still had a laugh.rooms were clean towels and sheets changed every 2nd day. Food ok you could always find something to eat even if it was just pasta. Would reccommend the apartments to anyone with children as the resort itself was great for the kids.

We stayed in oasis park one or two years ago. It was a very rememorable holiday. The staff and the entertainment was amazing, during the day there was water polo and golf tournaments and everything. The entertainnment team were very funny and friendly. Night entertainment was brilliant too. There was a show each night, either pantomine or karaoke . The pool was beautiful with lots of other families so it had a very good atomoshpere. The kids really enjoyed the burger king that was outside, which was just down the road. There was lots of lovely shops and centres near by within walking distance, and a large waterpark just about a 5-10 minute walk from the resort. The weather was beautiful when we went in july but the day we went to the waterpark the weather was 45 degrees, which i very much got baked. The holiday is brilliant and i would definitly go again.

Fun Holiday

Just got back from Roc Oasis Park, the staff and rep "Dan The Man" were lovely and helpful.
The children's entertainers, Irene and Danny (the Italian one), worked extremely hard at making the holiday fun for all ages. Very good place for children.
On the down side, apartments do need upgrading as bathrooms were in a bad state.
Couldn't fault the holiday as a whole and again the rep and children's entertainers were great- they got the children up and joining in throughout the holiday and never seemed to tire!
Atmosphere was friendly, food was very good - although if you like a good English breakfast, it could have been less greasy with better quality of sausage/bacon.
All other meals were excellent.
If not going all inclusive, there are lots of eating places to go to - spoiled for choice!

we have just got back from a week in the Roc Oasis park,it's the worst all inclusive hotel we have ever been in.the food is of poor quality, badly cooked, and very poor choice. For the money we paid i would have expected a lot better, they should never have gone All Inclusive they should have stuck to self catering as it is a lovely complex and great for family's.

Have just returned from Roc Oasis Park and will definately not be returning!. Both of us moved rooms as the one allocated was over the disco (Room 924) and eventually moved to rooms in block 5. The rooms could definately do with a major overhaul, tiles hanging off the walls, bedding not clean, kitchen very basis and I would advise hiring a fan as no air conditionaing and the only fan id in the lounge. The food was very basic with little choice and no idea what we were eating. The week before was apparently even worse speaking to other inmates, we had a survey to complete on Wednesday and Thursday had a BBQ which was a slight improvement. You will lose wight if you dont eat out.
The entertainment in Jimmy Hills was fantastic and there are plently of places to eat along the "strip".

We stayed for 2 weeks in July'09. 2 adults, just gone 3yr old and 7 month old baby. We had a fantastic time at this resort. The accommodation is very safe and child friendly. The 2 level bungalow stlye works very well as you have your own front door and not in high rise style which can be very claustrophibic. The apartment while basic with only ceiling fan in the sitting room area was fine.
The childrens club was also a great asset even though my 3yr old really only used it towards the end of the 2nd week. We didn't eat in the resort as we enjoyed eating out in the evening. Very reasonable prices every where and while the food wouldn't be a mitchelen star quality it was just what was needed with 2 children. All staff are very child orientated and they get lollys at the end of the meal.
The mini disco from 8-9 every night was great fun and the reps pulled out all the stops. The entertainment that followed always got good reviews but we didn't attend any of the shows.
Overall a very good location, accommodation, excellent cleaning staff, safe environment for children, big pool, generally a great family holiday! We will go back.

Were just back,my wife Liz our kids Andrew & Danielle.2 weeks in the scorching heat, our holiday started on the 3rd July till the 17th July 09,First of all i emailed the Roc Oasis and ask if it could be possible to have the same room as we had last year..and guess what ..they gave us it,nice start to the holiday, plenty of daytime entertainment..some outside acts coming in most nights...the entertainment team doing there very best to keep things on the go the other nights.a BIG well done to Helen,Anna, and Barry...keep up the good work guys,The Bar prices in Spain are not like they use to be,,very dear,,if only the Roc Oasis bar prices where cheaper than the other Bars then most people would stay in the complex more.the STAFF where first class, facilities where fantastic, the changing of bed sheets and towels done every 2/3 days.thanks to the friends we made there,we had a ball.if you didnt enjor yourself at the Roc Oasis then tough luck,as thats the place to be,enjoy, make friends, and have a ball.

just come back from a fabulous break in menorca. the Roc Oasis is very well located. ideal if you have small children. We travelled with a four year old. We took advantage of the kids world club. My son absolutely loved it. the reps, entertainment staff and kids world girls were great.
outside the hotel there are good supermarkets and enough bouncy castles to keep any child happy!!!.
the beach near hotel was very small. but if you have researched cala n blanes you will know that. and jimmys bar is great to end the evening.
only two complaints were, the room wasn't cleaned/towels changed very often. and reception misplaced my room key after we had left with the receptionist before going out for the evening. it was eventually located in another rooms pigeon hole. even so, i will almost definately return there in the future.
