Were just back,my wife Liz our kids Andrew & Danielle.2 weeks in the scorching heat,our holiday started on the 3rd July till the 17th July 09,First of all i emailed the Roc Oasis and ask if it could be possible to have the same room as we had last year..and guess what ..they gave us it,nice start to the holiday,plenty of daytime entertainment..some outside acts coming in most nights...the entertainment team doing there very best to keep things on the go the other nights.a BIG well done to Helen,Anna,and Barry...keep up the good work guys,The Bar prices in Spain are not like they use to be,,very dear,,if only the Roc Oasis bar prices where cheaper than the other Bars then most people would stay in the complex more.the STAFF where first class,facilities where fantastic,the changing of bed sheets and towels done every 2/3 days.thanks to the friends we made there,we had a ball.if you didnt enjor yourself at the Roc Oasis then tough luck,as thats the place to be,enjoy,make friends,and have a ball.

We decided to go the ROC Oasis having seen it as a special offer for the School October Week. Overall we were very impressed with the whole complex. The accommodation was clean and tidy, with everything that was required. Although there for only a week the bedding was changed twice and the towels three times. The acommodation was not very busy, although I would imagine that during the summer months there would be difficulty in being able to secure sunbeds, we did not have many trouble though, as it was October that is not surprising. As it is a Thomas Cook holiday there were lots of entertainment staff about and more than enough to cater for the needs of all childresn, even our 14 year old, who is difficult to please somtimes, who was with us. She seemed to enjoy the entertainment as was able to easily make friends with other young adults her own age. They have a cabaret as such in the evening, and although exactly our cup of tea, she enjoyed it along with other families. The accommodation is only five minutes walk from the main centre where there are a good selection of resurants and bars. As with all places some are good and some bad. We havever felt that the majority of meals were of good value. Cal'n Forcat is a good family resort and the lack of music bars and discos ensures that the 3 brain cell brigade do not intrude of your holiday. We gave it 9 out of 10 as we felt that although the accommodation was good it could do with a lick of paint.
It would be our intention to return again, but not during the middle of the summer holidays. Perhaps in May or late Sepetmebr would be good time to go.

I have just got back after a week in the roc oasis appartements in menorca, i went with 4 other adults and 4 children. My 2 boys 11 & 8 absolutely loved it they were so sad to come back home the entertainment staff were totally fab meggie,johnny, chris and leighann!!!Stacey and Gemma were amazing to!! They were brilliant and very talented, even through the day they had us entertained to the max!! I would definately go back there the weather was nice the beach was also nice, small and friendly! The only slight moan i would have is that the drinks are expensive in the roc oasis bar, the food is lovely and very good value for money! There are lots of shops and resteraunts very close to the complex and there is everything you need close by, the food is really good over there there wasn't anywhere that didnt have good food! There is a lovely chippy called Twiggies they do takeaways and home cooked chips delicious!!!

Got back 2 weeks ago and still wishing i was back there had a great time. The place was clean the apartments where basic but your not in them much as theres a lot to do . The kids club team where great my little girl cryed when we came home and the entertainment team done a great job . The beaches small but nice and the resturants are all nice didnt find a bad one. On our last night went to maxis bar well worth a visit wish we had found it earlier . The mini disco was good for the kids my 2 are 9 and 13 they loved the place 2 weeks was not enough would go back again. Thanks jonny megan chris and leigh-anne and kids world for a great holiday.

Returned today after 1 week in Menorca.....Gutted!! Had fantastic time as did my husband and 2 kids (3 and 1 year old). Hotel really clean. Fantastic location, really close to every thing. Only criticism is that the room was basic, only 2 cooker rings and very noisy at night. Trying to book now for next year. Entertainment in hotel fab, Chris, Jonny and Megan did a fantastic job....Thanks!

5 days into my holiday i took really ill. i was took to hospital. since then i have the height of respect for thomas cook reps.my girlfriend was reasurred by the confidence of danny thing would be ok. as it happens things were ok.all i can think of is cheers mr o'driscol . to all the reps danny joddy johnny ect.............. + the kids club girls cheers hope to see you all next year.you all made my holiday guys thank you so much noel ger leah+josh

Apartments clean, basic but good enough. Beds not very comfortable tho and have to put up with sprinklers coming on at about 5am which are very noisy. Food is ok in the apartments but can be expensive for drinks and ice creams. Pools are excellent and the day time entertainment is good. However the evening entertainment is generally the Thomas Cook Reps making a fool out of themselves. Cheap, tacky and not always funny. Grounds are nice and views are pretty good. The beach is not that great. Expensive beds and parasols, sea nice to swim in but was a bit dirty from litter at the edges. Extremely expensive ice cream shack on the beach and not much room. Half the sand has been put there manually (builders sand!!) The other beach at Pirates Cove at the top end of the resort was nice but you could not go in to the water because of the sheer volume of Jellyfish there - dozens of them!!
The resort of Calan Forcat / Calan Blanes is very very very very english so if you want culture dont bother. Restaurants are generally poor quality with cheap food at expensive prices (with the exception of the L' Anchora which served excellent food and at reasonable prices with good variety and was the only restaurant where people were actually queuing up to get into). There are no speciality restaurants other than chinese. All the rest serve pretty much exactly the same food and not much of it is spanish. Not a lot to do, entertainment at Plaza Domingo or Jimmy Hills square is ok but gets a bit boring after a few nights. Aqua center water park is pretty good but wont last a whole day.
Be prepared to spend a lot of money without actually doing anything. Boat trips expensive as are the other excursions. Cuitadella is noce but again not much to do, Calan Blanes is a lovely place and would be a much nicer day with a very good beach.
My boy had an accident and required stitches. Reps were useless, especially Chris, and gave us poor to no advice or help what so ever.

Stayed at the ROC Oasis for 2 weeks and had an absolutely brilliant time. We were a family of four, and enjoyed it thoroughly. The area was lovely, the apartments had good facilities and the grounds were spacious and clean. But the winner for us was the Thomas Cook entertainment team and rep services. Chris, Johnny, Emily, LeighAnn, Megan, Danny and JodieLeigh, along with the kidsworld reps were all amazing - friendly, talented and full of energy from morning until night. We played games, took part in quizzes, watched shows including tributes to Abba and James Brown and my son enjoyed the mini disco - for which he has an everlasting reminder from the CDs we bought. My 6 year old son cried when we came back because he wanted to stay!!! Already thinking about booking to go back next year - hope the experience is the same.

stayed at oasis park for the second year rooms are pretty basic need air con maybe better cooking facility`s.the best thing about the 2 weeks there was the entertainment chris emily and johnny were the best so much fun and johnny has the whole family laughing their heads off he really is the best going back next year purely for the entertainment.not much to do outside the hotel. shops all sell the same things and are pretty expensive.the shopping bar on the main precint is the best bar around the food is great there too.bar staff are amazing.would definetly recomend it to anyone with kids

Rooms ok very noise at night people shouting and screaming till between 3_4 am. Place is full of chavs when you dont hear the kids screaming all you can hear is the jingling of Pat Butcher earings and there fake gold. Stuck here for 2 weeks and can not wait to leave! As for the beach what beach all there is a rocky cove avoisd this place like the plag!

just one week back from our holiday in oasis park and feeling ever so depressed. We stayed for 2 weeks and i had 3 kids with me and my friend. I cannot praise the place enough. my kids had a ball and as for the entertainers Chris Johnny sian and emily they were my fantastic. Would go back tomorrow in fact I am trying to book a holiday again for next year. It was ideal for kids and once the kids were happy I was happy. Caint praise it enough! Thanks Thomas Cook entertainers for making my holiday bliss! Hope to see you next year! Dee

Returned 3 days ago from a 5 night break at Roc Oasis, I have to say I had a fantastic time! and would definately return again.
The Appartment was clean, spacious and everything i had asked for i received i.e quiet room, sea view etc.
The location was exactly as it had been explained in our brochure, we were near a huge selection of restaurants, bars and shops.
There was plenty to do in the resort and outside the resort.
The three reps were fantastic, Jonny, Chris & Emily and kept all children and adults entertained everyday, there was always something to do.
The only downside to the holiday was the sea, the water was crystal clear and so tempting to go in, but we were unable due to the amount of jellyfish on the waters edge. The beaches were small but lots of them to chose from and all were clean and sandy. There were some steps down to the beach, which may not suit everyone.
The surrounding area also had plenty to do from hiring bikes to nice walks to day trips out.
As said before I would recommend the Roc Oasis Park and will be returning.

Just arrived back from Menorca, weather not very good and would not go again in May/June as had more rain and clouds than sunshine during the 2 week holiday.
The apartments at ROC Oasis Park were very basic and would benefit from redecoration and air conditioning. The staff worked hard to keep the rooms clean and there were plenty of grounds staff and mainenance staff working on the complex, however the management were rude and did not appear to care when the barbeque arranged by the hotel went desparately wrong and left the reps (who were not supposed to be assisting) to explain to the guests what was going on.
The resort is quite tacky and tired but all restaurants were good with the kids and made a fuss of them. Can reccommend the entertainment at Jimmy Hills and the food at Les Delfines.
I would reccommend everyone hire a car as we managed to visit all the main resorts during the week we had the car, and agreed Calan Forcat is the best resort for a young family. Would go back to the resort again in a couple of years but not back to the Oasis Park unless it has been revamped.

The childrens club was also a great asset even though my 3yr old really only used it towards the end of the 2nd week. We didn't eat in the resort as we enjoyed eating out in the evening. Very reasonable prices every where and while the food wouldn't be a mitchelen star quality it was just what was needed with 2 children. All staff are very child orientated and they get lollys at the end of the meal.
The mini disco from 8-9 every night was great fun and the reps pulled out all the stops. The entertainment that followed always got good reviews but we didn't attend any of the shows.
Overall a very good location, accommodation, excellent cleaning staff, safe environment for children, big pool, generally a great family holiday! We will go back.
Advice: Quiet family resort. No major traffic so safe enough to let your children walk alongside you.
