Submitted By: Miss M RyanDo go here if you want great family entertainment.
Do go here if you want lots of children all day long.
Do go here if you want to see some lovely beaches.
Do go here if you want good food (in the apartment restaurant).
Don’t go here if you want to stay in bed till the afternoon and get up thinking you will have a sun bed. You have to be up for 6am to put your towel on the bed...(nightmare)
Don’t go here if you like late nights as the bars close at 12.30. (Lights out at 1am in apartment bar)!!!
Kids not welcome in some of the late bars (there were only three, which we found on the island, which welcome children after 1am)
Don’t go here if you want to do some serious shopping, as there is not much choice in the shops.
The entertainment staff are absolutely fabulous Just 110% fabulous! One of the acts didn’t turn up on one of the nights and they had to stand in (just three of them) and they were better than the act the night before (which was Diana Ross) But the rest of the entertainment staff which were not on duty turned up and made it one of the best nights we had for the two weeks.
They entertainment staff deserve to be awarded they were just brilliant the kids just loved them. Well done to them.
We were unfortunately given an apartment which looked over Jimmy Hills pub which stayed open until 6am...it was a nightmare as it was so warm at night that we couldn’t leave windows open as the noise was keeping kids awake (2 years and 5 years)...we had to try and stick the heat with the windows closed.
Once again well done to the entertainment staff they do a great job with just one night off a week which I think is tough going, as they start at 10am everyday.

Submitted By: Miss K LawtonThe pool area is clean and tidy although you do need to be up pretty early to get a sun bed, as these seem limited and people get up as early as 5am to claim them. The food is of a good standard and is reasonably priced. The rooms are cleaned on a regular basis and the cleaning staff are very friendly and accommodating. The bar and reception are friendly and eager to help should you have any problems. The entertainment through the day was enjoyable and varied and kept people entertained. The nightly game of bingo also proved to be popular. The entertainment team made up of Kerry , Maria and Chris were brilliant and really tried their best to keep you entertained when there was not an outside entertainment brought in (which should have been more often ). They all put their hearts into it to ensure we enjoyed the evening.
Overall I would recommend the Oasis Park and will definately be returning next year!

Submitted By: Mrs A ConnollyUnfortunately these rooms were directly opposite the entertainment area and bar and so were very noisy. The next morning I had to quite forceably request room changes and we eventually got 202 and 516 which were much nicer and quieter. Some of the rooms also suffer from noise from the street so be careful when booking if this would bother you.
The only other negative was the lack of air conditioning. Everything else about the park and the overall resort was great and both families had a lovely holiday.
The pool area was fantastic, especially the kiddies pool and the snack bar served reasonable food at a reasonable price. The grounds are beautiful and our rooms were kept very clean and cbeebies was a great bonus.
Oasis Park is very well situated within the resort and there is a lovely walk down to the beautiful cove.

Submitted By: Mr P MckennaThe place itself is well kept but the rooms could do with being air conditioned. The pools are kept clean and, having read some other peoples views, you do not have to get up at 5 to get a sunbed, more like 8.30am.
The reps are excellent and really put themselves out for you, regardless of who you are. They are helpful and pleasant. The island itself is gorgeous and the best beach is most definitely Cala Galdana. I don't think its cheap at Oasis or Calan Forcat any more so take plenty of spending money. Probably will return next year but will wait to see where everyone else is going to go.

Submitted By: Mrs J ArnoldSorry to you folks out there who do have children, but my husband and I stayed here for a week in September.
Don't get me wrong, the apartment was clean and spacious with a decent balcony and balcony furniture.
The big problem was that our apartment overlooked the children’s pool, quite near to the entrance of the complex and it was full of screaming children, whose parents did not seem to be bothered about them.
I would not go back to these apartments even if I was given a free holiday there!!

Submitted By: Mrs Kim WaltersThe reps (Adam, Sam & Becky) where fab. Could not fault them for there boundless energy and enthusiasm especially as there day started at 8.30am.
By the time they put on a show in the evening there day would then finish at midnight. Missing them now that we are home.

Submitted By: Ms P PalmerThe staff, including the reps, the entertainers and all the Spanish staff, were so friendly and made our holiday. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Every year I meet the same people who have been visiting for 10+ years. Even the bar staff say "Lady, you are back again"!
The entertainment is full on family fun. The childcare provided by Kidsworld is second to none and even my 10 year old son who "definitely didn’t want to go because he was too old", was there every day in the Playstation/GameCube Zone.
The beach is a 43 steps away and is a lovely safe cove, which my daughter loved building sandcastles on and the boys fished from the rocks.
Security was around of a night, but in the all the times I have visited there’s been no trouble. The water park is 10 minutes walk away, and my kids love it. More geared up to the under 12s though.
Food typically English, but served promptly and reasonably priced. It is with reluctance that I have bowed to pressure to try somewhere different in 2007 - so I have compromised and booked into the Binnamar next door - so I can visit Oasis Park every day! If you get the chance, go. You won’t regret it.

Submitted By: Mrs H WilliamsHowever, the only thing that spoilt our holiday was having to get up at 8.30am to guarantee getting a sunbed. You could see some people really enjoyed the challenge of getting up as early at 5am to guarantee their sunbed with the added early bird incentive of getting a sun umbrella as well! - but not us! To be honest, we were on holiday, and with the kids going to bed late them having a lie in was a luxury we don't usually get at home, so we only got up a couple of times, other times we enjoyed discovering the beaches around Cala N Forcat and Blanes - but be warned look out for the jelly fish! The resort itself was great, if you have young kids and the bus service is brilliant and easy to use to get around Menorca.
We did enjoy the hotel entertainment and when we did spend time around the pool we had a great time - but please Thomas Cook/JMC sort the sunbed situation out. The problem is on-going, people pay a lot of money for staying at the hotel and the use of the hotel facilities. We felt we were unable to enjoy our hotel and the faciliities because they were unable to accomodate us!

Submitted By: ElesaThey even put on an under 3's group every day as lots of kids. Our 1 year old enjoyed Thomson the dog, dancing at the kids disco, swimming and the beach. The rooms were clean and gardens were good. A 20 min walk to resort centre but down hill, past a market and water park. The food buffet was ok at the complex, but if you like traditional English food then it's not the place to eat every night! But they do serve chips and salad and ice-cream daily.
The Oasis Park zoo was a very long day out with a 1 year old and not pushchair friendly as stony/sandy paths, but animals were good to watch. Also the lunchtime is late (2:30pm or later!). Overall a great holiday and would go back. Maybe in a villa.
" Menorca such a lovely island, but... "
Submitted By: Miss JP PedenWe did not have air conditioning, the toilets stank of sour and some apartments had cockroaches. It was certainly geared up for the English and not the Scots or Irish, and if you want to get a sun bed you would be better taking it to bed with as people are up at 5am claiming there sun beds by placing their towels on them.
Cala n' Forcat is not the best area to visit and would strongly suggested you give it a wide birth. If you have children under the age of 12 it might be for you. If you like listening to Reps trying to sing every night and bingo, quizzes and eating chips with everything.
But please do not let this put you off as we traveled around the island to get away from Cala n' Forcat it is such a lovely island, Son Bou has the most lovely 2 mile beach and shouldn't be missed and plenty more places to stay.

Submitted By: carocoxThe Oasis Park Apartments themselves are great but unfortunately it seems to attract an awful lot of the same type of customers. Loud obnoxious Brits...
Unfortunately, despite going outside of the kid’s holidays it was full of school age kids! How??
We have a 2 year old and don't mind children, but the Oasis Park was full of rude, aggressive kids and their parents, who left them to get on with it.
There was rubbish left around the pool, if you didn't get yourself out of bed for 5am - there were no sunbeds left. Reps are aware of this age old problem but apparently can't do anything about it.
The entertainment staff tried their best, but it was the same day after day, but is seemed to get louder ...I've never been to Butlins but it did feel a bit like a holiday camp at times...
We had to move apartments due to the levels of noise day and night... Make sure you ask for a quiet apartment. We did but still got stuck by the main pool and entertainment.
Most of staff are friendly and helpful apart from Juan on reception, even the rep mentioned him.
If you want some variety and to actually relax on holiday stay well clear and try the Minorca Sea Club round the corner....
A lot of people love the Oasis Park and come back time after time, but unfortunately, despite our best efforts to see the attraction, it's not for us....
Happy Holidays!
