We have been for the last 3 years so from reading the other comments made about this hotel I can only imagine it must have been revamped late 2005. With its vast gardens and views out to sea, it really is one hotel if you want to be lazy and are really getting away from it all you do not need to go anywhere. The pool is fantastic or go down to the jetty and swim in the sea plenty of things to do. Plenty of weddings going on fashion shows music bands.......... really great...

It has given us 3 very nice holidays it is one of the most relaxing and romantic holiday hotels I have been to. Please dont forget you are abroad and if you want fish & chips on your holiday go to blackpool. The food in the hotel caters for many countrys.

The staff we have always found to be most helpful, if you are pleasant to them expect it in return. If you have a problem be polite and they will help.

I could go on . We have great holidays there and are going back to stay for 4 weeks this september, so cant be bad.

Having read some of the comments prior to my own holiday I was concerned if we had made the right choice.

Having just returned I have no bad comments for this hotel. we booked a delux seaview suite and was not disappointed. The views were stunning and the room was elegantly furnished and very comfortable. The rooms were kept immaculately clean along with the rest of the hotel.

The reception staff was most helpful at all times and spoke good english. The bar staff was also polite and friendly and if you made the effort to speak to them they was more than happy to hold a conversation with you in English.

This hotel has an excellent swimming pool which is never overcrowded and you can always get a sunbed anytime of the day. It also provides pool towel service with clean pool towels every day.

We did tend to get bored with the food, although their was plenty of variety on a daily basis the food did tend to get boring and repetitive. Breakfast was the same every day we was there so if your looking for a good old english fried breakfast this probably isn't the place for you. The waiters in the restarant were very quick to clear the tables and also provided an excellent service.

All in all a great holiday and we will certainly return to this hotel.

I have just read the reviews of Jasmine Court hotel and whilst I agree with some of the comments from previous writers, this was one of the best holidays we have had.

We did, though hire a car prior to going from Pacific Car rentals who were excellent.

With regard to the hotel though, I would agree that it was certainly not 5 stars, although as previous reviewers commented they charged 5 star prices.

However, as veteran travellers we come to expect that hotel prices are always high and the first thing you do is to find a local shop for the cheapest water and snacks.

I may have been lucky because I went out nearly every day to a small supermarket and was not challenged once.

The room that we had was a junior suite and we were surprised at the size and furnishing, although the carpets especially could have done with replacing.

We never ever touch anything in any hotel mini bars and were not charged although they tried to charge our friends and some other guests as we checked out but they argued and refused to pay.

I must admit that the reception staff were unfriendly and twice we had to phone to say that we had not been left any towels.

The room was cleaned well and the towels changed every day but the cleaner kept asking us for money.

We found the food (breakfast) excellent and the staff around the grounds very friendly and helpful.

The grounds were the best feature of this hotel with plenty of eating places, plenty of beds, plenty of variety and plenty of space. We only went into the Presidents bar once and the prices were extortionate so we did not return.

The shop also was expensive with my one and only newspaper costing about £5.00 so, once caught twice shy, but that is their loss because I usually have a daily paper but on this holiday I went without.

Kyrenia old town was, for us, within walking distance of the hotel but outside of the hustle and bustle and noise of the centre.

We befriended another couple and with our car we went out every day and in the evening went to a different restaurant (cheaper than the hotel and more interesting).

We are going back this October, albeit not to Jasmine Court because we are going with our son who is booking elsewhere but I would certainly return to Jasmine Court but remember not to buy drinks, dinner, lunch, anything from the shop and ignore the reception staff.

Remember, a lot of your holiday is what you make it.

Well, I am shocked at the reviews I have just read. My family and I go to this Hotel every Year, and have done for the past 4 years. We are going soon this year, and we will go again next year. Why? Because this hotel is brilliant.

The staff are friendly, more so at the pool (with a special "sunken bar" in the pool) and while the prices are more expensive, I’m not sure how someone managed to pay £12 for a Bacardi and Coke, that’s just crazy.

The entertainment for kids isn’t amazing, but it kept my 12 year old sister happy for almost 10 days. There’s tennis, swimming, play areas and even a mini petting zoo! How many hotels have you gone to with a petting zoo?

I have never had any problems with the rooms. I would recommend this to anyone. GO, go, go.

We had a party of 12 booked into 8 rooms, most of which overlooked the courtyard. The courtyard could be a lovely setting, although the stagnant pond in the centre is most disappointing and not a great advertisement.

Most of the rooms were on the third or fourth floors, the lifts to at least two of these were constantly broken or unavailable. For a 5 star hotel not what we expected and very disappointing that some staff (Reception mostly) failed to understand why this was a problem.

Staff attention was very varied and were somewhat surprising at the contrast. Reception staff were not helpful, very rude and the biggest insult was being ignored numerous times. I sometimes wondered if the hotel management hadn't told the reception staff, that the most important introduction to a new hotel is the way you are greeted. A smile would have helped I think.

The rooms were very good, big and spacious, they were cleaned daily by courteous friendly staff. Bars, The presidents bar is an opportunity lost, I think it needs to be closed and moved elsewhere in the hotel, certainly the bar staff need replacing or retrained. A much better bar area was on the grassy area overlooking the sea.

Different staff and a much different attitude, very good setting and a great place for an evening drink. Food at the hotel was good, although a varied menu would help, we mostly eat lunch there by the pool. The pool, the cafe, area and the bar overlooking the sea are the best points, the staff there are great.

Overall this was not a 5 star hotel and would have to go a long way to achieve that status. With a bit of work especially with staff training, the replacement of the lifts, putting fish and lilies in the stagnant pond, it would be very good hotel.

We booked into Jasmine Court because i was told it was the best hotel in kyrenia, we had an awful flight to Cyprus. The only thing I thought that could have made it worse would have been walking into the room and getting two single beds, guess what two single beds! We had been looking forward to this holiday all year, got the kids sorted and away we was 10 days on our own.

WELL where do I start? Would agree with the hotel is not worth a 5 star. The carpets were cream, WHY? So so dirty. I was charged for items from the mini bar that we never had. The safe didn’t work, how are we supposed to trust anyone going into the room that are charging us for items that we haven’t consumed?

A brandy sour cost us £14, and a snickers cost a staggering £9 Turkish lira. But we made the best of it and still had a fantastic holiday, maybe next time not Jasmine court. I must say that we did not have a bad meal all of the time whilst in Cyprus!

The Addresse was fantastic, but it couldn’t beat Figaro. The food was so fantastic and the staff, they were just as great. We tried paragliding and that was totally breath taking, what a way to see Cyprus. Just a pity we were let down by the hotel, oh and by the way when we got home I have given our home a 9*, well if they can say that Jasmine court is a 5* then our house has to be a 9*.

Like the previous reviewer, we too were a little apprehensive after reading the reviews shown here (why do we only ever read these things after booking!) On the coach from the airport our fears increased as we dropped of other holidaymakers at their destinations as some of the access roads and surrounding areas were less than salubrious!

Don't panic...Jasmine Court has a lovely frontage and it doesn't disappoint inside. The pool area is fabulous and I suggest that you find your way around the other sunbathing terraces facing out to sea and on the lawns too.

For evening meals the specialist fish restaurant, Babacaka, is highly recommend but watch the prices as you select your fish and pay by weight. The garlic prawns were gorgeous and worked out to be the best buy as you get a lot to the kilo!! Once in Kyrenia harbour, you must go to Niazi's - they do the best food, best service and best prices.

We are planning a return visit to North Cyprus and would happily go to Jasmine Court again.

Five Star facilities with 2 star attitude. Rooms very large, Junior Suite with separate lounge. Housekeeping good but timing erratic. Carpets are dirty and there is a residual smell of stale tobacco smoke.

They have a policy of not allowing you to bring in any food or drink and to that end if they see you approaching with a supermarket carrier bag you are directed to reception where (I am not making this up) they search it for contraband. Certainly takes the edge off the experience. On the plus side, the food, especially breakfast is very good. There is a courtesy bus into Kyrenia 4 times a day but it is only a 25 minute walk. Kyrenia a delight, unspoiled as yet but there is a lot of building work in progress. Eating and drinking out is very inexpensive and the food is good.

The flights are not too good. Have to fly to Turkey, sit on the tarmac for an hour then fly to Cyprus and vice versa coming home, but it is worth the visit. Go before it goes the way of the Costas.

Have just got back from a great 2 weeks at the Jasmine Court.

The number of negative reviews I read on here about the hotel had made me a bit apprehensive prior to going, but I must say I struggle to find a negative comment at all.

The rooms were large, cleaned on a daily basis to a good quality, the pool was fantastic, the staff friendly and the food, especially the breakfasts, excellent.

Yes, the prices were higher at the hotel than in town, but, personally, I would expect that to be the case in a hotel of this type. Even then, some of the prices quoted in other reviews (£12 for a Bacardi & Coke!) were way off the mark - actually a little over £3.00 - about the price you would expect to pay in any decent city centre bar in the UK.

In short, yes you will pay more here than at many other places in Kyrenia, however I found the extra cost more than worth it.

Highly recommended.

After reading the previous reviews, it is obvious that they have two standards of rooms, those that are clean, and those that are not, our room was far from clean, with stains on the carpet, and cigarette burns, it was not hoovered properly for the length of our stay (2 weeks). If you are allergic to feathers take your own pillows because the hotel will not change them, no matter how many times you ask, even a letter to the manager will be ignored.

Most of the reception staff will treat you like an inconvenience. Prices of the drinks are the dearest we come across, they even have two prices for the drinks, one price at the pool area, and even dearer at the parliament jazz bar (making it £3.20 for a bottle of local beer), the reason given by the barman when questioned was, they used to play live music in here six months ago? They do not now, and we recommend going into town and pay £1.60 for the same drink.

Find Shamrocks just of the main road in town. And have a imported Guinness at least you can have a cheaper priced drink, in a friendly atmosphere. Do not be put off the island, but if you can, choose another hotel, we wish we had.

Just back from staying at the Jasmine Court Hotel.

Can only agree with previous comments, rooms were clean and a good size. Manager and staff were very helpful. However, friends left 4 messages for us and we never got one.

Had two teenage boys with us who appeared bored and nothing much happening for them in the hotel. Overall I should say this is a 4 star hotel and the main focus was the casino.

Faded Grandeur is how I would describe the Jasmine Court Hotel. At one time it may have been fantastic but now it's a bit neglected and needs to have lots of money spent on it in restoration.

Our hotel room was a very good size but the carpets were filthy - same outside in the corridors. However, beds were clean and fresh and the towels were changed daily if you wanted. We had B&B and the breakfasts were very good so can't comment on the rest of the food. Pool was also good. Staff friendly.

Overall I'd say this is at maximum a 4 Star hotel not a luxurious 5 star as you would expect.

I believe that this hotel is one of the best in Girne. The food is spectacular, the accommodation excellent and the entertainment excellent. They had a Turkish night once a week which was brilliant. The staff was very helpful and polite and was always there when you needed something.

The food was one of the highlights of the day. In the mornings there is a wide range of things to eat. this may be from pancakes to omelettes. You could also get freshly squeezed drinks for a cheap price. Breakfast is up to 11 am which is very good as you do not have to wake up early to eat and could have a lie in.

Dinner is also very elegant at Jasmine. It has many different varieties of food everyday. This is always a three course meal. As it is a buffet you could go and get more when you have finished. People above have stated that it is luke warm. I have to disagree with this statement as all of the food we had was hot!!

However if you did not want to eat at the hotel there were many places in Girne that you could go and eat.

There are excellent entertainment for children!!

People are complaining that the prices in Jasmine are too expensive. Well...you are going to a five star hotel!!! I mean it would not be right if it was not expensive.

The hotel pool was great!!! not to big and not too small. but I do recommend you take towels when going!!

And yes I do recommend this hotel to everyone as it is one of the best in North Cyprus!!

Hotel was listed as a five star and unlike many in the Med was truly at least four star on a European basis.

Excellent suite type rooms, first class food.

Car hire via Cyprus Paradise was very good with first class condition vehicles, unlike the usual junk.

People are exceptionally friendly, food in the towns is very good and cheap. No loud tourist, no drunks.

For a good relaxing holiday I cannot recommend it enough. So much so we are going back in March.

Truly awful - anyone remotely discerning would hate this place. If this is a five star hotel then I’m Kylie Minogue. The rooms are really nasty and tired. The carpets are cream - ( good choice for a hotel!) and badly stained in all the rooms and even worse in the central areas.

We felt exploited, the prices are ridiculous- you can hardly afford to get drunk. In fact it might me a good place to go for recovering alcoholics.

The place had really petty rules., there was never any sun loungers and you had to put towels down at 6 am to be in with a chance. Then one day ...the rules changed and you weren't allowed to leave towels over a certain length of time. They actually timed it. Pathetic.

A place to go if you like stained carpets, a furry swimming pool ( yes- really),petty rules, unhappy staff, no entertainment , exorbitant prices and repetitive food!

Go somewhere else!!!!!!!
