wow
this is the best hotel on the strip in my opinion. the rooms are the best ive ever stayed in. they are hugh, all have a lounge dining area as standard and house three tvs!!!
i spent mu honeymoon here, the hotel is pure class, at a reasonable price.
the pools were lovely, but overcrowded. everywhere was absoultley spotless and beautiful.
we used there spa, high charge but very classy, but not much going on in it!.
the staff were sometimes a bit over the top snotty!!! worth going just for the beautiful rooms, overlooking the strip or gold course.
enjoy

Jan 2008, Mrs K Currie

My husband and I have been visiting Las Vegas three times a year for the last seven years and we've stayed at various hotels on the strip and have never been treated so rudely until now. We had originally booked and prepaid for the Palazzo for our five night stay this time. When we arrived at the Palazzo we were told we were being moved over to the Venetian. The explanation given by the Palazzo front desk staff was they weren't opening up the rooms yet. We had booked and paid three months prior.
We were looking forward to this vacation and to be only disappointed by the lack of customer service demonstrated by both the Palazzo and the Venetian hotel staff. When we had complained to the Venetian Front Desk staff/manager about not being notified about the change prior to our departure so we could book alternate arrangements, we were told if "we didn’t like it we could cancel our reservation". We had prepaid and had no option to take what they were giving us. The town was busy with the Consumer Electronics convention.
The Venetian Front Desk staff/manager kept on reiterating we were getting a free upgrade so we checked into it when we got home. They didn't give us a free upgrade; we had already paid for the same calibre of suite in the Venetian that we would have received in the Palazzo.
We paid for a hotel we didn't want to stay in to begin with and we left the Venetian feeling our business wasn’t appreciated.

Dec 2006, Mr R M Rogers

Vegas is definitely a party town, the bright lights of the strip seduce you in to this Mecca for the gambler.
At the heart of the strip sits the Venetian - one of the newer hotel/casinos in Vegas. The hotel is certainly impressive, with every room being a suite of some description. Our budget only allowed for a mini-suite at $189 per night (weekend prices). This is the time everyone flocks to the town, so room availability and prices are at a premium. However, the room was worth every penny and afforded us luxury we have not seen the like of before.
The town is about gambling so all roads lead to a gambling machine / table of some description. However, for those savvy enough - playing opens up to free drinks, so gamble sparingly and you should get real value for money if lady luck is not with you!
The buffet was exceptional value, with food across the globe at a very reasonable price.
Vegas is an experience to have, even if you’re not a high roller. However, as I said before, prices and availability goes up at the weekends - so try and go during the week if possible. A later visit bought the room rate down to $89 per night for a similar type of accommodation in the more modern Aladdin.
Go to Vegas - but go only once - it’s an experience to be realised.

Nov 2004, Miss MJ Sheehan

Although the Venetian is a very grand hotel indeed, their staff sometimes leave a lot to be desired in the manners department. It’s all rather hit and miss.
On the plus side, the hotel has wonderful restaurants and eateries (some overpriced to say the least), shops and a spa health club (at extra cost).
On the downside, the scale of it all is a little too large for my liking, especially considering my partner suffers from MS and mobility is always an issue.
Vegas itself, well what a party place. Very surreal surroundings wherever you may be - something for everyone. I recommend a midnight stroll to the Bellagio to watch the wonderful water fountains dance to the likes of Liza Minnelli's ‘All That Jazz’ - fantastic.
One word of warning if catching connecting internal flights in the States though, check and ensure that all flight details are correct. In our case, BA quoted BA flight numbers for America West Airline that did not exist! The day of our departure was, unfortunately for us Thanksgiving Day and some flights were not even scheduled to fly - despite our itinerary proclaiming that all flights were confirmed.
Overall though, a fantastic holiday and a wonderful 40th birthday.
