As first time holiday maker's to Rhodes, we were looking forward to what it was going to be like. When we checked in the staff there were very polite and couldn’t do enough for us. The facilities there were amazing; the park there was good fun for the children just like the baby pool. timing our holiday perfectly we enjoyed the heat wave but at times the weather a little too hot for us to be in the sun, so sometimes we would use the TV room to cool off and get away from the sun. The bakery at the top of the hill became very useful within our stay. There was a verity of pubs, restruants and bars and plenty of shops, supermarkets and souvenir shops. After having such an enjoyable time here, i would decently contemplate coming to Rhodes again!

The stella hotel is situated in a good place in the center of pefkos. The hotel itself hs an ok service with maid service 6 days a week. however the air con is quite expensive and you have to py for both air cons individually. the showers were not allways hot and the pool is not a very good size for the amount of peple thet stay there. the games area consists of two pool tables and an air hockey table. whist there the pool tabes had problems and the air hockey was out of order for ages. when out of order there was no out of order note unless you said it was out of order (pretty difficult when theres no sign so you end up wasting money). the atmosphere in the hotel was a bit dull the hotel had little to offer as entertainment accept bingo and quiz night in the evenings the hotel was DULL. however the hotel was redeemed by the execellent resort. we had three favourite resturaunts all with great dishes. the nestalgia was simply the best restraunt service and food followed by the dama dama which is a short walk down the main beach road and the anixis which is up the main road past the nestalgia right up to the top there should be some stairs to climb but its worth it. the beach was great however all good beaches are PACKED i found going later on was better as the beach was less packed and also the heat was lower. the beach was great for snorkling as the sea bed is covered in sand with the large rocks here and there. the coctail bars are great, with the rock bar being a personal fav, you can ask for a random cocktail and the barman will look at you and decide what he will put into the cocktail. he came up with some fantastic creations and as we left one of the barmen shouted bye -bye in a way which was unforgetable we could here it from the hotel. so overall the resort was perfect but the hotel was a bit dissapointing defintly going to go to the resort again but not he same hotel. i hope this review was helpfull and thank you for reading

We are going back to Stella Aparthotel. we have stayed there many times. The staff are all friendly And we love Stella, she looks after her guests well. Joy is lovely too great with the kids. We can't wait to see everyone again.the rooms are very clean, the beds have crisp clean sheets and we love it when they do unusual things with the top sheet. There are plenty of sunbeds and parasols around the adult pool.(its cleaned daily I might add) although we don't have children now, there are two pools for kids and a play park too.We have stayed else where in Pefkos but we prefer Stellas. We've yet to try the fresh bread at Stella's supermarket. But if it's anything like the food we enjoy at the hotel, it's gonna be worth a try. there is also a bakery up the hill, and the pastries there are works of art.mmmmmm!!!
there no shortage of places to eat in Pefkos what ever takes your fancy really.
Out and about Rhodes Town is a must especially the old part. And at night it's amazing.
Lindos is lovely too, with a taxi rank not far from the hotel it's the easiest way to travel. And you must venture on a Lindos taxi :-) (Donkey!!)up to the acropolis. The beach in Pefkos is beautiful and the water is crystal clear, warm and safe. There are sunbeds and parasols at a daily charge what ever time you go.
We can recommend "Flyers" for a mid-day eat and drink.
And for the brave ones the owner takes people out on a microlight(weather permitting)My Husband did it and can recommend it.You fly over the acropolis. It's breathtaking.
There are excertions to different places, Simi,Prasonissi,Rhodes town and a wine tasting day too when you get the chance to drink the local fire water.called Suma!!!to name but a few.
There's a glass bottomed boat, Visits to Turkey too.
So we can definately recommend Stella's and Pefkos.
If you've never travelled before,Fly to Rhodes and stay at Stella Aparthotel in Pefkos. You won't be disapointed.

We stayed at the Stella in Aug 2009, myself, my husband and two children aged 2 and 5. It was ideal has 2 childrens pools and a small playground not a very large complex. Was ideally situated right in the centre of pefkos 2 mins from the nearest bars and restaurants! Which lots of them had playareas too to keep the kids entertained. We loved our holiday here and would definately go back again without hesitation. The accomodation itself was very nice not as basic as lots of greek apartments I have stayed in. We stayed on bed and breakfast basis which i cant seem to find this time which was worth the extra, not a great choice but you could have toast, cornflakes, or any combination of a full english breakfast plus either juice tea or coffee.
Fab hol!!

I booked this as a last-minute getaway for my 18-year-old daughter and myself. Having read some of the reviews beforehand, I was a bit apprehensive about what I was letting myself in for. I was pleasantly surprised. That person who gave the review 1 out of 10 was either incredibly unlucky or very fussy.
I found the Stella Hotel to be extremely clean. The maids came in every day to supply fresh towels, empty the waste bins, straighten the beds, sweep and mop the floors. They even swept/mopped the balcony. They brought fresh bed-linen twice a week. I felt very sorry for them as they worked so hard in the extreme heat and yet they were always cheerful. The studio room was very comfortable and it had all we needed including a hair-dryer in the bathroom. The kitchen area was well-equipped with utensils, plates and cutlery, a fridge, hob, microwave and kettle. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. There was a bar in the main block which provided a reasonable food menu, although we did not use this. The pool and grounds were kept very clean and there were always enough loungers and parasols to go round even though it was the height of the season.
The hotel was centrally situated, being 30 seconds from the main street where all the bars, restaurants and supermarkets are situated, 30 seconds from the main taxi rank and 30 seconds from the hotel’s own supermarket which has its own bakery and everything ranging from food to drink to beach stuff to clothes to presents. Having said that, I did not hear any noise from the street when I was in the hotel. Just 20 yards up the hill behind the hotel is another bakery/supermarket which has the most amazing selection of pastries and bread and a lovely little chapel next door which is worth sticking your head inside (in fact it is so small you can really only just stick your head inside!!) There are countless restaurants and even if you went to a different one every night for a month, you would still not be able to go to them all. They cater for all tastes – Greek, international and English (for the unadventurous). There are even two Chinese ones! The resort comes alive at night, but is mainly full of young families and couples, so not somewhere for teenage rampages. It is really the sort of place where people just stroll looking for somewhere to eat, then maybe have a drink or two before heading home again.
The beach is a bit further away and takes about 10 minutes to walk although it can seem longer in the heat of the day. The beach is sandy and the water shelves gently so is safe for children. There is an 8 Euro charge for 2 sun loungers and a parasol, whatever time of the day you arrive, so this can seem a bit much if you don’t turn up until mid-afternoon. The sand can get too hot even to stand on, so we always hired the loungers and parasols.
There is a list of organised tours (day trips to Symi, day trips to Turkey, day trips to Rhodes Town, Greek night, WaterPark at Faliraki etc) or you can take the very good local bus service to other parts of the island. We took the local bus to Lindos (costs 1.50 Euro each way and takes about 10 minutes) but if there are 4 of you, you might consider taking the taxi as they only charge 7 Euro and take you door-to door. We had intended to take the local bus to Rhodes Town as well, but the tour rep had warned us they take three hours to get there and the buses are not air-conditioned. We later discovered the buses ARE air-conditioned and only take about an hour to Rhodes Town, so this might have been a ploy to make us buy the organised tour. The old part of Rhodes Town is definitely worth a visit, as is Lindos with its quaint streets. We also went on the glass-bottomed boat from Pefkos to Lindos and back. It anchored offshore for a while to allow you to jump off and have a swim out at sea.
We had a great holiday and came back rested, but I do just have a few tiny niggles in what was otherwise a perfect holiday. Firstly, if you like your Greece plain and simple, you may not like Pefkos. The resort did not exist until about 7 years ago and has been built solely for tourists. It is new and sophisticated and not at all like the Greece of the past. The restaurants are bright and modern, some of them even adorned with flat-screen televisions showing Sky Sport which irritated me a bit. But there were still places which seemed to be Greek in spirit (try the Delizia rooftop restaurant run by an elderly Greek couple - just across the road from the hotel). Secondly it was very hot in July (temperatures were in the mid 40s Centigrade) and the weather would probably be more comfortable in April/May or September/October. The hotel charged extra for a remote control to activate the air conditioning unit in our room… 50 Euro per week per unit (the studios have one unit, the larger apartments have two units). The temperatures did not drop below 30 at night, so it was worth the extra cost, but I have never been charged extra for this in my travels before. We heard that one man at the hotel spent the night by the pool on a lounger to get a bit of cool air at night!
I would certainly not hesitate to return to the Stella Hotel and would thoroughly recommend it.

Stayed in these apartments and really enjoyed it. Perfect location, really central. Rooms nice and clean and fairly spacious, plently of clean linen and towels. Pool area lovely, plently of sunbeds and there is a handy shop next door. 3rd time in Pefkos and we will definitely go back to Stella.
Pefkos is amazing, something for everyone. You must try Philosophia restaurant (situated on the beach front). The most amazing restaurant in the world - lovely views and the most delicious food!!! We also liked the Eclipse bar, great atmosphere. Enjoy!!

We spent an excellent two weeks in Pefkos in September 2008. The resort is fairly quiet with nightlife centered around two main bars, but beware - shorts at the 'Eclipse' bar are measured from optics! Try 'Pefkos at Night' instead - friendlier staff and better music and ..... NO OPTICS!. By the way - the beach is excellant, and the 'Stella' Hotel can be thorougly recommended - enjoy.

We have been going to Pefkos for the last 5 years staying in various places, we had always ssen the Stella Apartments so thought we would stay there in August 2010 for our summer holiday. whilst the room was always clean and spacious, the bar area was pleasant, the location within the town was ideal, the pool area was far too small for the number of rooms in the complex. We tried the pool the first day we were there but found it difficult amongs all the inflatables to do anything in it. We ended up spending our time going to the other free pools within the town when we were not at the beach.
Sorry to have to write this, espescially when the staff were very nice, but if it had a pool the size of the one at the Dimtris then it would have been a more pleasant stay there
