Having read some of the reviews i was a bit skeptical about Liki Tiki Resort. However, i was very pleasantly surprised. We had a 2 bed, 2 bath apt on the 4th floor in Bldg 500. It was exceptional. I would make 2 comments and they are not complaints. The Air Con was not very good, the shower lacked power but the rest was great.
The staff were great, the facilities were great especially for the younger kids. I would definately stay there again. It's also very close to all the Disney attractions, Restaurants etc. 8-10

My partner and I were quite dubious as to what the condo would be like. We had read a complete mix of reviews which said that there were dirty toilets, the staff were unfriendly etc.
However when we arrived the condo was GREAT! Nice big double bed, nice living room and dining area, kitchen was fine and the balcony was great. Also the bathroom was very clean and the bath/shower were nice and big.
The pool area was nice, well kept and well lit at night time.
All staff members were lovely and very helpful.
You get what you pay for and then some - a really fab crash pad close enough to Disney and all the other theme parks.

I am a disabled traveller and vary wary of where to stay on a florida holiday. The Liki tiki was recommended so we booked. we ( myself husband and two children) had the most wonderfull time. Upon arrival the staff were lovely and the one bedroom apt was lovely. There are lifts and access all over the resort. we have been back to florida four times and never bothered to look at alternative accomodation as we loved the Liki Tiki so much. We have had a two bed apt for the last couple of visits as the kids have grown and have also taken my mother. She was both impressed and happy.
We have not done much at the resort except a bit of crazy golf, peddalos and the pool as we were out and about for the majority of the time.( My daughter loved the gym)
If you are looking for a safe sleeping base for a busy holiday, I most recommend the Liki Tiki. It is not a luxury hotel. The apartments are well furnished and offer what you need ie fridge freezer washing machine tumble dryer towels etc The pools etc are an added bonus if having a 'rest day' from parks and shopping.
We are Lucky enough to be going again later this month and of course staying at the Liki Tiki.
I hope the negative reviews were blips in service as we have never had a problem in four consecutive years except two minor ones. The toilet was blocked and a maintenence man had sorted it within half an hour and one of the door key cards had to be exchanged as failed. I will update this review should this coming holiday be as dissapointing as some have experienced.

Like you probably, I was a little wary about this place from some online reviews. We've been going to Orlando area for 5 years now during February school break for a little bit of business but mainly family vacation. Once we arrived at the Liki Tiki, all concerns were gone. Our check-in was a little after 4pm. It took only a few minutes to check in, they mentioned our option to see another person regarding resort benefits, but he was tied up so we went right to our room. We did request a building closer to the lagoon, even though they said they couldn't guarantee it. We had the first building closest to the lagoon - top floor. Excellent location!!! The top floor has vaulted ceilings in the main room and the master bedroom. Yes, there were a few flaws - I can overlook some chipped paint and spiderwebs outside here and there, but I know that the staff was always working hard on keeping the place neat. Last year we stayed at another family resort suite in Kissimmee that cost over $330 a night and the room at the Liki Tiki was more than twice the size - we got a rate for less than $150 through a discount site (shop around with Orbtiz, hotels.com, etc.)
The "room" was great - huge for just our family of 4 (kids ages:11 & 8) - the view overlooking the lagoon from the balcony was wonderful. Even though we had rain & lightning one morning, the staff made even that day pleasant. When other kids got rowdy at the pool, the lifeguards quickly put an end to that, to our relief. We had a rental car, and do recommend getting food at Publix right down the road. We didn't eat at the resort - the "free" breakfast was just donuts and muffins and a huge line for that, so we ate out or had cereal in our room. My husband is a night owl, and he was able to watch TV without disturbing me or the kids. Only once did we hear our neighbors, and that was around 10am and it sounded like their kids were getting anxious to go to a theme park during the thunderstorm. Having the washer/dryer in the room was wonderful after getting wet at the pool during a rain storm (we didn't have to bring any wet clothes home on the plane - YEA)
Of note of anywhere in Florida: we visited family in a different part of FL before coming here and everywhere we go, the water is very nasty - buy bottled water everywhere, even when making your coffee or tea.
Try to ask for a room near the lagoon - and you'll be fine. Maybe when our kids get to be teenagers they may be bored with the pool, but the mini-golf, paddle boats (don't bother with the bumper boats - they were slow) and other sports available, it will be our place for a while. We never got called or bugged about timeshare or anything - we consider this place a solid "A" for the price and ammenities.

Stayed here last week in March first week in April. Had no faults at all, had a two bedroom villa for 4 adults and 2 children, ample room for everybody. Washer and drier a real bonus, pool just outside apartment.
You really need a car when staying here but we did so no problem there. Very central for parks. Only downside was you had to wash own bedding, or pay for maid to do it. Would stay here again but make sure we got en suite room with large jacuzzi.

Holiday price was cheaper than all other operators. However I do believe that you pay for what you get!
The flight was a crush and the service poor with staff not clearing trays for ages after meals/ snacks. However if you can manage for an 8 hour flight then the savings were considerable and we will probably do it again.
The Liki Tiki resort was in quite a beautiful setting. The fun pool is very good and the children loved it. It was never over busy and plenty of sunbeds and chairs available. The fun pool is a 5 to 10 minute walk from most accommodation blocks.
There are quiet pools near to the accommodations and these were heated. We did end up using these more than the fun pool.
The apartment was huge. We had a 1 bed roomed with a double sofa bed in the lounge for our family of 4. The bathroom was gorgeous with a spa bath big enough for 2 or 3 and a separate shower in another room. The room was a little tired and is ready for some redecoration.
The soft furnishings were a little stained here and there and the carpets had seen better days. The kitchen area was a good size with everything you could need, the washer dryer was a real bonus, and the microwave was handy.
Our main concerns with the property were that the outside stairways were in a state of bad repair. They were uneven in places and rusting away. They were very off-putting.
The staff at the complex were poor when a problem arose.
Our locks were changed whilst we were out one day because they were updating them. However we weren’t informed and after a long day at the theme parks were arrived back at 10pm to find our key cards didn't work.
We had a long trek to the reception where they provided a new card, however upon return this would not open the door either. We ended up sat on the stairs outside waiting for the maintenance man for over an hour.
This problem took 2 days of people coming to let us in before they swapped to the old lock and our old card. They were very unhelpful and very slow to sort the problem.
Overall the property is good and the room a lovely size with no major issues. Do not expect 4 star. It is definitely just a 3 star.

Liki Tiki resort is a beautiful all inclusive resort or you can have just bread and breakfast and eat out.
It is ideal for families with young children as there is a water park on site which keeps the kids entertained on those few precious rest days away from the theme parks. Everyone is very helpful and friendly and customer service is a very high priority.
The rooms or apartments are all fully contained, rather like a flat including American style fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. The furniture is beautiful and to a high standard.
We had a basic one bedded apartment with the children sleeping on the bed settee in the lounge, there were two bathrooms, one with Jacuzzi and a well fitted kitchen. We also had two balconies overlooking the pool. I would definitely go again.

We spent a fabulous 14 days at the Liki Tiki, it was clean with friendly staff who were eager to help.
The resort used to be called Ron Jon resort and had some bad reviews but since Island One took over the running of it they have spent a lot of time and money improving the rooms and the resort.
We are going back their in Jan 07 and are looking forward to it.

I booked my stay at Liki Tiki about 3 months before I arrived there and requested a 2 bed room suite. When I tried to check-in I front desk reps put me through hell. They would not let me check-in until the VIPs or owners of the property have been checked in. The reps had the worst or should I say NO customer service skills at all. The lady I that was attending to me (who claimed to be the manager on duty) had her mouth full of food while she was talking to me.
I was finally given a room after about 2 hours of trying to check-in. The room is the worst I have ever seen...worse than a cheap motel. There were stains on the carpet, damaged kitchen countertops, broken chairs....cobwebs! I called the customer service reps and asked for someone to clean the room but no one did. Worst of all, the TV remote didn't even work!
My whole stay at the resort was a terrible. I am sad to say I wasted my money. My girlfriend and I couldn't wait to check out. I will advise anyone thinking about staying at this resort to think twice. You'll be wasting your money. Believe me.

Liki Tiki Resort - Holiday Watchdog
Our stay at Liki Tiki resort was very disappointing. Because of the wonderful reviews I read we wanted to go to this place and even stay more time at the hotel with the kids.
We arrive at 5:00p.m on Sat.Nov.19 and the room wasn't clean we had to wait for an 1hr and 30min.Went we got the room I had to spent time cleaning the room again. My kids went for a bath in the whirlpool and came out screaming because of all the dirt that started to come out. I could not take a bath in the shower because of a leak on the ceiling. We just had one remote control for one of the TV’S, and we have three in the apt. I call them for us to change room and they told us they did not have any accommodation left.
The next day I call them again because we have roaches in the room. Then they moved us to one of their villas. Again, the same problems but this time we had a leak from one of the toilets and the master bedroom had a very bad odour. We had an exchanged made for this hotel, and it was a real nightmare. We stay from 11-19-2005 to 11-25-2005.

i have stayed at liki tiki about 4 times in the past few years.
it is definately well located if renting a car and once used to the highways it is easy to get to all the main parks and attractions aswell as kissimee old town(definately worth visiting!)
the rooms are good in size, tidy and tend to have great views of the complex.the hot tubs in the main bedrooms are immense!
i would definately recommend trying to locate a room directly behind the main pool area as it is close to everything and we have always requested a room there.
the staff have always been friendly and welcoming and we have never had a bad experience!
the main pool is definately popular with families due to the water slide, can get slightly busy at peak times. there are also great activities such as basketball, tennis, bumper boats and mini golf at reasonable prices!
i definately have had great holidays staying at the liki tiki and recommend it highly!
