The Pirat is in arguably the best position in Kalkan, right on the harbour front. This does have a downside however as everything except the restaurants on the harbour side is up-hill, and the hill IS steep. The hotel is large and is very clean. The rooms are average sized... more

Kalkan was simply beautiful, cobbled streets, whitewashed buildings, typically Turkish and not too commercialised. The transfer was a bit gruelling but well worth it. The locals were very friendly and helpful and we had a lovely holiday. The Hotel Pirat is in a lovely... more

Rooms need updating and if you are unlucky enough to be put at the back of the hotel there are a lot of steps to climb ours was over 100 steps up. Also the policy of not being able to take any food or drink into the hotel unless you buy it at the hotel is ludicrous if you... more
