What an amazing place, when they say un-commercial Turkey they mean it. The locals are so friendly and the hotel staff and owner make you feel welcome from the moment you step off the coach.
What an amazing way to spend a week. And staykalkan staff make our holiday perfect and hotel rep was amazing and very helpful to make our holiday best in best.

My wife and I have just had the best...

My wife and I have just had the best holiday experience of our lives at this hotel. The service, care, friendliness and expertise of everybody, from the Manager through to and including the cleaners, is wonderful. Food is excellent, fresh, promptly produced, and is usually prepared within sight of you. Drinks are expensive, (beware the 'tab'), and are produced by a telepathic barman who knows what you want just before you do! This is not a cheap hotel. It does though, give back more than the value of the money spent in terms of the holiday experience.
A reasonably good level of mobility is required in getting to the sunbathing areas, and beach bar, as the many steps are quite steep, but this is true of Kalkan itself, which stands on a fairly steep hillside.
In the town itself are a large number of restaurants, many with rooftop areas with stunning views across the harbour and bay. We dined out every night, and every single one of the restaurants we used would cause a sensation if located in any U.K city, and the prices are reasonable.
Having stayed in many hotels across the world, we have not experienced better real 'hospitality' anywhere. Thoroughly recommended.

The Most fantastic Peaceful location...

The Most fantastic Peaceful location with the most stunning views from the roof terrace and the Room. Staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly, the atmosphere is completely relaxed. Couldn't ask for a better holiday.
Kalkan is a lovely little village, and the building that is going on is extensive but unobtrusive. The Restaurants are fantastic, especially the Daphne with it's magnificent food and views over the mosque to the Bay.
Take advantage of the Gulet cruises if you get a chance. Can't wait to get back there!

Very relaxed, extremely friendly hotel. Rooms excellent. Unique in that the sun loungers are built into a rock face that over looks the sea.
Swimming couldn’t be easier ad bathing sand free! Fantastic value for money and a pleasure to be holidaying with like minded people. Very peaceful by day and fun by night if you choose. The non-existence of Oiks and British scum was a delight.

If you are looking for a quiet,...

If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful and relaxing hotel then this is the place!
The hotel is clean, modern and has superb friendly staff who cater for your every need. The rooms are all air conditioned (you will need it in August!!) and they are of a very high standard. Breakfast in the morning is like a banquet...not what we expected at all but a very nice surprise. The hotel is located on the outskirts of Kalkan and you will need to rely on the free minibus to take you in the evening to the main hub of activity (taxi back at night...very cheap). Kalkan itself is small but has good variety of shops, great restaurants and lots of Estate Agents (the Brits seem to be buying up property as fast as they build it).
A tip for the restaurants...only visit the ones where there is no waiter outside trying to tempt you in...the best ones are the restaurants where they let you go in off the street hassle free...but some of the more popular restaurants you may have to book for a Friday or Saturday evening at the height of the season. Another thing worth considering....Kalkan has a few tailor shops, worth using if you want excellent quality copies of clothes you already have for a fraction of the price you would pay in UK.
Downside of the Kalube hotel....two things only...drinks are expensive from the bar, you build up an expensive tab very quickly....the other negative is the long walk down to the sea and up on the return (we counted over 150 steps up to the main hotel!!), if you do not like steep climbs this may not be for you.....oh and the habit of bagging the best beds for sunbathing still goes on but not as much as in other resorts, mainly because there are lots of places to sunbathe available!
Tapestry holidays are first class and this place really is top quality with no lager louts...just relaxation and peace in abundance!!! Recommend highly!!!

This was our second holiday with...

This was our second holiday with Tapestry and it matched the high standards of our first.
The hotel was a little outside the resort but offered a one-way courtesy bus in to town, and taxis were very affordable for the return journey. Staff were friendly, and the facilities included a bar, restaurant, 2 pools, and direct access to the sea from rock platforms. Don’t miss the inclusive massage!
Kalkan itself is a picturesque harbour town offering numerous well-priced restaurants of a very high standard, a smattering of bars, and, thankfully, no discos or lager louts.
There are numerous opportunities for sightseeing, and Tapestry’s limit the number of participants to maintain standards. There are, of course, also several local operators to choose from.
Highly recommended.
