Hotel Description:

Equally suited to an active or indeed a quieter break, these apartments affer relaxation for adults and fun for kids. The apartments are situated in the fashionable Costa Adeje area of Playa de las Americas just 850m from the nearest beach (downhill). There are a number of shops, bars and restaurants within a short walk and the centre of Playa de las Americas is 3km away along the promenade.

" Just returned from a week in these... "

Just returned from a week in these apartments, we stayed in the Nogal Beach apartments, next to the Ocean Palace Hotel. It was very clean and spacious, I had no problems with creepy crawlies, as people have mentioned before.

The maids were in every day to make the beds. Your towels don’t get changed everyday, but if you ask they are nice enough to change them for you.

I would highly recommend hiring a safety deposit box, as I heard a few people mention that things had been taken from their rooms.

We booked a two bedroom apartment but did not have enough beds to sleep all of our party and the couch didn’t turn into a bed, so we had to make a bed up on the floor for my brother.

The pools at the Nogal Beach Apartments were great, I preferred them to the pools at the main hotel (Ocean Palace Hotel), and the small pool was great for the kids.

We were all inclusive but the food was not that great, the breakfasts were good, but the second day we couldn’t face eating in the restaurant, so we ate out at night.
The snacks during the day were excellent, ice cream and drinks all day.

Over all, this hotel was good, the only let down was the food, but everyone’s tastes are different.
I would recommend this hotel, we had a great week.

" Just come home from a week in these... "

Just come home from a week in these apartments which appear to have been newly decorated as they were beautifully clean and bright and generally very comfortable. Each apartment has its own small balcony, and the bathroom and kitchen facilities were very good.

The apartments have their own communal pool, but a quick walk through the hotel takes you to the main pool of the adjoining hotel Ocean Palace which is really large and reasonably shallow making it appropriate for families with children.

The entertainment provided for children was excellent with activities organised throughout the day and evening. All staff were very helpful and friendly resulting in an extremely enjoyable and relaxing holiday, I would definitely recommend this resort to families and groups wanting a flexible holiday in a good location.

" Very nice apartments. Clean and well... "

Very nice apartments. Clean and well maintained. Quiet area but within 10 minute walk of Las Americas. Not recommended for people with walking difficulties as its uphill from the beach, bars and restaurants.

Always managed to get a sun bed round the pool no matter what time of day. Locals use pool at weekend. Pool bar served good food although not the cheapest place around.

Supermarket at hotel is overpriced, would recommend using one down the road. Maids came regularly with clean towels and sheets. Bin emptied daily and floors swept and mopped. Huge balcony with table and chairs overlooking pool.

Would go back to the area and the apartments. Lovely holiday!

" When we arrived at Nogal beach... "

When we arrived at Nogal beach apartments it was early hours in the morning and it was our first girly holiday and we were self catering.

We were on the third floor the room was nice and clean and the balcony was big as well it was very spacious.

The weather was hot but it was cloudy a few days but you still got a sun tan from this as we were up near the mountains. The staff was friendly and tried there best to speak English and understand. The cleaners came to clean the rooms and did a good job.

The only down side to it was the steep hill you had to walk up and down every time you wanted to go somewhere it was very tiring plus with the heat it wasn’t good.

Our rep that came round was Laura and she was ace she was a great help and she is very polite and friendly.

The activities were good especially the ones including the reps as they liven them up.
I do recommend that you don’t go to the shop next door as it is very dear compared to the supermarket down the road which is half the price.

The best place for food is the English bar on the beach we went there every night and the moon light bar is very good also. Overall I would go back there again!

" Holiday started well here for first... "

Holiday started well here for first day. Whilst the room and balcony were clean and of a perfectly adequate size and the staff seemed friendly enough for the little conversation skills they had, it was unfortunate that myself and companions had a theft from our room during the 2nd evening since arrival whilst out for tea, all cash from 2 members of our party had gone.

While that was bad enough we then got robbed again 2 nights later when we were out, unbelievably this time a SUITCASE and some clothing was taken. The room was secured by us on both occasions and the 2nd time we even had the key, yet the room had no forced entry. Security guard obviously playing his role well! Further to this we heard so many COMPLAINTS about other thefts and guests returning to find people in their rooms! This accommodation ruined my party's holiday and many others during this time, while Costa Adeje was lovely I would highly recommend staying in different accommodation rather than running the risk of the worst time of your life staying here!!!

" We’ve just returned from the Nogal... "

We’ve just returned from the Nogal Beach Club and were thoroughly dissatisfied.
The website infers that you also have use of the facilities at the sister hotel.(The Ocean Palace) That would’ve been an improvement, but it was closed and had building work going all the time.
The entertainment was 3rd rate (a guitarist every evening )and the food in the restaurant, although not bad, was repetitive.
We were also given the impression that there were restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Not so! To have a break -you had to either catch a bus or walk for about 20 mins and the taxis coming back were certainly not cheap. (check the meter,-- it should be on Tariff 3 but they set it to Tariff 1.). We ended up threatening to call the police when we queried it).

On a better note, we had a great time at Raffles Cabaret (by the bungee jump) and also in Loro Park. But we booked these ourselves, saving about 20 euros. The rep. Laura was at best indecisive and there was a mass protest on the day we were leaving. All in all, a very disappointing week (thank God it WAS only one week). Needless to say we won’t be going there again!!!
" on arrival ( Fri, late eve ) overall... "

on arrival ( Fri, late eve ) overall impression nice. sat + sun passed really nice. Monday at 08:30.......... BUILDER + Lots of noise !!!!!!! having been to Nogal beach in 2004, we returned ( along with 2 children ) confident of a great FAMILY holiday. Ocean Palace next door, provided good swimming pool and stuff for the kids if you wanted to laze around for the day. How-ever, evening entertainment was pretty NAFF. The beach and surrounding shops etc is approx 10 min walk ( downhill !!! but not to bad ) provided LOADS of cheap eating places and plenty of camera shops etc ( be careful ).

Highly recommend PUERTO COLON, (adjoining area ) comes alive on a night with PLENTY of GOOD eating places ( check out the COLON bar). Now back to the Nogal Beach...... Loads of people COMPLAINING !!! Major construction work taking place all through out our holiday ( due to ALL rooms being changed from 1 bed to 2 bed ) Laura ( rep ) very good, handed out complimentary tickets for all major attractions.

Hi ab lorries bringing in pallets of breeze blocks, cement mixers, drilling, banging.... TERRIBLE, only thing was BOB the BUILDER !!!!! it was that bad. Had we been informed PRIOR to our holiday, we would not have gone. Major complaints taking place NOW, BUT AIRTOURS are being very very SLOW and poor. all in all, Nogal beach NOT RECOMMENED.
" We went for a week in august to Nogal... "

We went for a week in august to Nogal Beach Apartments. It was scorching hot everyday with warm evenings. The staff are fairly friendly but beware most wont understand you although most of the guests are either English Irish or Scottish. We had an apts on the ground floor so got a terrace. The room was nice but a little dirty so had to clean it. The maids came about twice during our stay to give clean towels and change sheets. Electric cooker was a bit of a pain as it took ages to cook and didn’t have an oven so was limited on what you can cook. Overall the room was quite comfortable.

Some things were broken though. The electricity card is attached to the door key and when you go out the fan stops so take of the key and leave the card in all the time so the room stays cool all day. The top floor balconies are massive but being on bottom was good as right outside bar. The pool was nice. Was pool and football tables. Don’t buy anything from the shop next to hotel. I bought a can of beans two cans of spaghetti and the cheapest looking hair conditioner and it cost 11 something euros! She just made up the prices i think! Just down the hill is much cheaper, varied supermarkets and shops. Getting back up the hill in the heat was tiring though. I would recommend Harleys, an American diner and bowling alley. The burgers were delicious.

There are some nice others little places but you could always just opt for a good old MacDonald’s or burger king by the beach. Beware or hair braiders, hustlers and men who want you to eat in their restaurant this gets VERY annoying being approached 100 times a day. The beach is great but has black sand. Nice though with lots of things to do and just as beautiful at night. It comes alive! The sister hotel is ocean palace (which your allowed to use). The evening shows are a bit naff but entertaining. The rep told us we were not allowed to use it in the day but ignored her and swam in pool, which was amazing.

I would recommend loro park zoo, flash (reps night out) and freebird dolphin and whale watching and mount teide. We got the little train but we thought it would stops at Las Americas but just went in a circle. The point? We ended up walking there. Long, long walk. Overall this was a relaxing enjoyable summer holiday.
" My wife and I flew out on New Years... "

My wife and I flew out on New Years Eve for two weeks and stayed at Nogal Beach, which is the sister, hotel next door to the Ocean Palace.

This was self catering and it was very good in every way. Rooms with mod cons were a treat and the staff were really helpful. The weather was a knockout...about 70.75 every day with plenty of sunbeds to go round and you could go down to the pool area at anytime and find plenty of beds.

The seafront bars were about 10 mins walk...easy going but coming back uphill parts were inclined to get us out of breath a bit but we took our time and didn’t use a taxi once!! (Not bad for me 66...and the wife 54) This was just a little downside of the hotel location but we did get used to it. Be careful here if you have any sort of heart condition. Otherwise I would say that if you go to this resort you cant help but like it.

Oh yes...lovely market on Thursdays on the beachfront...We will be back this coming Christmas. Oh yes. You can use the Ocean Palace hotel next door if you want to and it’s really lovely...

" Having never experienced a... "

Having never experienced a self-catering holiday, this year we went for self-catering in Tenerife. The Nogal Beach apartments are excellent value for money with a regular maid service ensuring your apartment is clean with fresh clean towels on a regular basis. The apartment was equipped with a Microwave, Toaster, Fridge and Electric Oven & Hob. There were 2 swimming pools at the resort: adult and baby pool with poolside snack bar. A grocery shop selling all English products are attached to the resort. Next door to Nogal Beach Apartments was the sister hotel: Ocean Palace and we were able to use all the facilities at the hotel i.e. swimming pools, gym, regular entertainment etc.

We were in Tenerife for 2 weeks and couldn’t have picked better weather - it was so hot but all-in-all, a thoroughly enjoyable holiday and I would recommend going back to Nogal Beach.
