Hi, we stayed at this hotel in October we had a large family room with two queen size beds. The rooms were clean and the staff were polite and helpful. You do have to pay £5 for the car park and get your ticket authorised each time you leave the car park. There is a bus... more

Expensive. And they charge extra for everything. Plan to pay extra for parking, data connection, breakfast - actually anything except the gym and pool. But if you complain they might knock the extras off your bill. I thought breakfast was included - but it showed up as an... more

Great Improvement
I have stayed here purely because of Hilton points in the past but have got to report a big improvement. It's an airport not a holiday hotel so you expect a comfy bed, decent food and if working web access. They're still working on the latter but the people aspect around the restaurant has really shot up - to the point it's an enjoyable experience. Congrats to them for responding to criticism and doing it well. Get the web and it's going to be sorted !
Standard Hotel
We stayed here for two nights, room only, Friday & Saturday as we were attending a wedding nearby. Courtesy bus collected us from terminal after using free telephone in arivals, 2 minute drive to hotel. Room good but usual standard of furnishings. Quiet for being on airport. We did not eat in the restaurant but had two breakfasts delivered to our room. I ordered the english and my wife the continental. It arrived first day on time, but not very warm, only one set of cutlery, one cup, one glass of juice. Toast hardly cooked - warm bread really. Second morning still not very hot, only one lot of toast when two were ordered, again only one set of cutlery. Not impressed at all. Apart from that, easy for location but would not return.
No complaints.
We booked this hotel on a dinner first night, b & b deal and stayed for two nights. We booked because it was a lot cheaper than staying in Edinburgh city and easy to get to. Cant fault anything. The room was pretty standard, clean and spacious. The restaurant was lovely, we had a great meal and the staff were friendly, couldnt do enough to help you. The drinks are expensive but thats Hilton for you. We used to no 100 bus outside which runs every 10 mins and goes in to Edinburgh for £5 return which is a bargain. Main thing we found was it didnt really feel like you were next to an airport. for one the main windows face the other way and also there must be good soundproofing! Never heard a plane once. So if you are looking to pay a little less for a good hotel i would stay here again.
shabby
Stayed here for 2 nights, family 4 in one room. Booked as family room, was given double with Sofa bed. Too small for kids age 10/11. Rooms extemely shabby with stained walls, damaged plaster worn carpets. Complained to managment, who were sympathetic but only willing to offer another room of similar standard or additional room for considerable surcharge. Restuarant good for kids and adults, pool facilities OK. Overall we were very disappointed with this hotel. I used to stay here often for work 10 years ago and very little updating has taken place. Complained in writing, Hilton compensated with moderately generous loyalty point bonus.
Convenient for travellers
My wife and I stayed here for one night after arriving from Australia. There's a free shuttle from the airport to the hotel, but as the hotel is literally on the edge of the airport grounds, it is walkable in 10 minutes. If you have luggage though, just catch the bus. The room was a reasonable size, even with all our luggage. Bed was comfortable, TV with limited channels. A/C was not very good and the window only opens an inch, so it got a bit stuffy (yes, even in October). But the real winner is the breakfast. Great selection and really gets your day started. Friendly & helpful staff - we'll stay again.
Depressing
Typical depressing, faceless, corporate airport stop over. When booking I particularly asked not to be on the ground floor, and subsequently ended up in a disabled access ground floor room with lots of emergency pull cords etc. Not worth complaining as I arrived late and left early. A plate of poor quality fish & chips and 2 glasses of house wine on room service was £35.00. They also advertise playstations in the rooms however this is another £6.00. Overall nothing I didn't expect, just glad it was on expenses and not my own money. Saying that I wouldn't have booked it if I was paying.
Top service
Stopped for one night on business in Scotland. Situated very close to the airport, a short walk or courtesy coach. Staff very courteous and helpful. Check in and out rapid and nothing too much trouble. Cab rank outside and fare to city centre c£15 ($30 U.S.). Alternative express bus just outside with return fare of £5. A neat and tidy property with comfortable bed, clean bathroom and very quiet.
Welcoming & Friendly
My husband and I stayed at the Edinburgh Airport Hilton before flying out on our honeymoon. My husband had contacted the hotel prior to our arrival to let them know it was our honeymoon - on arrival at reception we received a room upgrade and chocolate, wine and fruit in our room. If you have a special occasion - let them know! The hotel itself was very nice...a typical Hilton. The room was well decorated, well resourced, comfortable and with fluffy bathrobes. We ate in the hotel during our stay - the meal was lovely with very good service. Checkout at 5.30 am wasn't a problem and we made use of the hotels own free shuttle bus service to the terminal building. If you're looking for somewhere to stay right beside the airport I'd recommend this hotel. If you visiting Edinburgh to see the sights - stay closer to the city centre.
Excellent room - no problems!
We stayed here for one night only on our way home. Booking in was easy and our room was exactly as we would have expected from the Hilton group. It was a large room, perfectly clean and with everything we needed to hand (e.g tea, coffee etc.). I did make a point of checking the bathroom and could find no fault - spotlessly clean! To date, we have never found a fault with our rooms in Hilton Hotels around the world.
Good hotel next to airport
I just needed a place to stay overnight before heading out on a tour. This hotel was clean and comfortable, with food on site. Since I slept most the time I was there, I'd say it was comfortable, and the room service excellent. A bit basic of a room, but clean. Some pink mold in the shower, and the shower was freezing cold. The lighting was a bit dim. It was quiet and I liked listening to the rain at night. Didn't hear much air traffic, so that was also a bonus.
