no way in this world would I ever go to this hotel again , this hotel isnt suitable for family , it more suitable for 18 to 30 , when we arrive the room smelt of smoke , the staff were not that friendly to family only to the younger ages. I been to marmaris many time and stay in different hotel , but this was the worst one ....

me and my familly stayed at the baris apparts this year in june there was 12 of us ranging from 60 years to 4 months old i have been to maramris 16 times now and have stayed in many hotels and appartments yet this one was by far the best. there are sooo many activities and faciliteis they have an onsite internet cafe which beats the prices of the local cafes. they have different nights such as kareoke turkish night etc etc. we stayed for two week and every day was different every day topped the day before making our holiday sooo enjoyable becasue be honest if you dont stay in a good place then it puts a little damper on your holiday, but not htis place everything was tip top. the rooms were always cleaned constantly changing sheets and towels always cleaning which for the cleaners must have been a pain becasue of the young children staying with our party. we were worried at first becasue of our 4 year old nephew but every where was secure and safe so he couldnt have ended up jumping of the balcony or something, the staff around the poolside were brilliant to always keeping him occupied after he had finished eating his meal. the meals were alwyas outstanding if you wanted something that wasnt on the menu it wouldnt take two minuites for them to cook it up for you. which was very helpfull becasue on of the people in our party had a stomach problem and could only eat certain foods. over all the baris was an amazing place to go back to and was a shame when we had to come home. i will be visiting the baris again later this year and i know it will be just as good! this hotel is run really really well the manager of the hotel is lovey too not the usual tight grumpy ones hes alwyas happy to see you and will always deal with problems(if there is any) his self not passing you around from pillar tp post he is very involved in his hotel and does a brilliant job of running it!

just recently got back from my holiday in marmaris and stayed at the baris. such a great place with such a lively atmosphere. the staff will doing anything to make sure that your stay is a good as can be. the reviews that i read before i went all condemmed the place but from first hand experience i am teling you they have it all wrong and have it muddled up with the other hotel also named the baris. sal aj and cemal were ome of the nicest people i have ever met and always made sure we were happy and put my mate and i before themselves making our holioday one of the best that we have had so far.goin back definatley and mite see some of you there.andy and adz. brigg north lincs

We booked the Baris Apartments as a last minute holiday, we were slightly apprehensive about 2 star accommodation and in this case we were right to be, our room at Baris was far too small for a couple, two single beds and small shower room, virtually no floor space!! The room was not very clean, what the maids did is beyond me as the rooms looked no cleaner as the days went by, there is a pool area which we never used as it was too small, we did not like the look of the bar and restaurant area either, infact we did not use it at all, we were b&b but at no stage were we advised of breakfast times etc, we would not have eaten there in any case. The apartments appear to have no sound proofing, so noise levels from other people is intolerable, we had virtually no sleep for three days, doors banging and music very loud. We were charged £3 per day for airconditioning, which in the July heat is essential. Marmaris itself is fantastic, great food, friendly people, lovely beach and guaranteed weather, we would without doubt consider Turkey for another holiday as we thoroughly enjoyed our trip, it is unfortunate that our accommodation was so dissappointing, we would never consider 2 star again! I would thoroughly recommend Marmaris as a holiday location for families and couples, i would not recommend Baris apartments to anyone.

Travelling through Turkey, I visited Marmaris, and stayed at the Baris. A pleasant location, nice building, great pool with plenty of beds in the sun and a bar in the shade. Especially nice was the atmosphere: the crew made sure that everybody was happy, kids, parents and single travellers like me. At night there was a colourful show with dancers and a tasty buffet. I have very good memories of my stay at this nice hotel. Whenever you plan to visit Marmaris: I highly recommend it!

we stayed at the baris apartments most of the towels i would not have used them for floor cothes , they are rather dark rooms and need the lights on most of the time. corridores were dimley lit, no gym or sauna as advertized ,curtains bearly fit windows. some staff ok ,but did nothing about noisy holiday makers ,loads of noise while all hours of the night into early hours of morning , some of the doors in apartments are not very secure .

If you have already booked this hotel and are checking reports after your booking has been confirmed, and own a visa, please, please book another hotel in Marmaris.The resort in it's self is first class and i have been many times before, fortunately not to a hell hole like this. Anything that's not nailed down is stolen, drink, pocket change, notes- and don't think if it's in a bag or wallet it's safe as these maids are more than happy to rummage through your belongings. A trip to management and everything is dealt with to your satisfaction? You would think so. However i was told i was mistaken nothing went missing or if it did perhaps the maid thought it was a tip.... then why leave half the money behind? This was not an isolated incident and other guests complained too and they were told the same. After complaining we were treated like second class citizens with none of the staff talking to us as employees are all family. Our rep from med hotels was as useful as a paper umbrella and after we complained we never saw her nor heard from her again!!! PLEASE AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS.

My wife and I booked a last minute holiday to the Baris Hotel Marmaris. Unfortunately we were not the only guests dissapointed by the poor standard of accommodation and inadiquate furnishings and facilities. We found the self catering rooms dark, cold, dirty and misrable, exactly how we felt throughout our stay.

Stayed at the baris 4th september....only came back in june. Once again we had a fabulous time. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to be in a central location close to all amenties in a lovely hotel. The staff go out of there way to make you feel welcome and there is always someone there if you need any help with anything. I cant say one negative thing about this hotel it really is a good choice of accomodation. The rooms are clean and tidy and the food is gorgeous...... GET IT BOOKED NOW TRUST ME IM A TRAVEL AGENT! I booked the Baris hotel last minute over the Internet, for myself my husband,teenage daughter and her friend, and was a little concerned as to what the hotel would be like, as the star rating is just a 2*+ The hotel is fantastic, very clean, and the staff could not be more friendly. The meals are so good, that on many a night we ate at the hotel. They also have a happy hour several nights a week and entertainment on these nights too(so no need to go anywhere else). There are plenty of sun-loungers and umbrellas around the pool, and even a sun terrace above the bar area. I had such a good time staying at the Baris that I am going to do it all again in Sept, for one week, along with four of my girl friends. Baris here we come!!

In May 2005 I joined some friends who had already booked a holiday to Turkey. So I got last minute flights and booked Baris Aparthotel over the internet where my friend was staying. I can't stress how much how welcome the hotel staff made me feel. I had requested a room next to my friends and they arranged this for me with no problems at all. The hotel manager offered to arrange my airport transfers for me as I was travelling alone and this, again, went without a hitch. All the facilities were clean all the time and the food was great. Exceptional vallue for money. Thank you to the Baris for a relaxing holiday, the staff could not have done more to make you feel welcome. It was that good I am going back in 6 weeks!
