This hotel is just not worth its 4 star rating. The staff were rude and not very helpful. Breakfast was a free for all with one morning queue for 45 mins then were told that restaurant was too full and they were not taking any more people in so we would all have to move to another restaurant in a different part of the hotel there where people running and pushing to get there first dragging there kids with them.
The rooms had two double beds that were ok but there was mould in the bathroom and the loo roll holder was on the floor. The one thing I could not get my head round about this hotel is there is nothing for the kids. The pool in the shallow end is just over six feet then dropping down to ten feet.
Once you left the park and walked all the way back to the hotel you were stuck there, the things on offer were a video arcade or some fair ground rides out side but all at a cost. We were lucky to have a ground floor room so you could open the doors to let the kids blow off some steam, but once it was as dark that was it for them, TV was all in French so the only entertainment was the music from the Disney village that went on to the small hours great!
If you are going to stay in four star hotel here stay at the Disney hotel you get to see most of the characters at least 3 times a day and they do shows as well, not like the new york who had guffey every day and you had to pay for a photo with him. Plus at the Disney land hotel the park is on your door step so you nip in and out with the kids but even this hotel is over priced.
Tip book breakfast at fantasyland it does not cost you extra or even better still stay in a non Disney hotel better rooms, pools, breakfast and the money you save you can spend this on character meal so you get more time in the park on rides.

Great hotel, having been to New York...

Great hotel, having been to New York itself it has some true likenesses. Rooms are well furnished with 2 double beds (others available) a very nice bathroom and if you book a lake view room the views are great!
Just outside they had a ice skating rink and a 5 minute walk, not even that, is the Disney village where there are countless choices of restaurant available to you. May I suggest the rainforest cafe!
The parks are just the other side of the Disney village about another 5 minutes walk. All Disney hotels do have a free shuttle bus so if it does rain (hopefully not) then jump on!
Overall a great hotel very comfortable and value for money :)

The Disney New York Hotel is...

The Disney New York Hotel is excellent as far as location is concerned.
It is is a very attractive hotel, however once you have returned to your room (which with young children is quite early) there is nothing on television except The World BBC news.
We asked is there was a film channel we could pay for, videos or DVD to hire but alas there was nothing.
As for Eurodisney is concerned 2 days is plenty to see everything. The Walt Disney Studios was a huge disappointment. In fact 2 hours was enough there!
We took a 5½ year old and he was only allowed on the baby rides (a lots of those weren't even open).
The only rides we could enjoy as a family were "Space Station" a simulator ride which was excellent, Buzz Lightyear, The Horrow House and The Wild West Ride.
I would suggest anyone thinking of visiting from the UK, not to bother and go to Alton Towers instead!
Also the french staff at Charles De Gualle Airport are very rude and extremely ignorant!

This was by far the best price option...

This was by far the best price option for a Disney hotel (- last year stayed at the Newport Bay which feels a little tatty and run down ) this is 4 star quality, maybe a few hiccups but definitely 4 star.
The room, 2 double beds for family of 3, was spacious and very clean with no grumbles at all - we even had a free view of the ice rink. Double glazing was very good as music played all day and evening at the rink but this did not disturb us - in fact lovely to open the window the get the Xmassy feel!
Room service is a must for breakfast on a Saturday to avoid the fuss and queue - only a small charge to have continental in the room but order something extra -like the pancakes and syrup - or full American breakfast - very good food and served with smiles !
The cafe breakfast hot food is not so good - not a wide choice, but McDonalds is in the village if you want something else!
Evening turndown service leaves a chocolate on the pillow - so beat the kids back to the room at the end of the day to grab these first!
Do use the bar - very efficient, friendly table service, and great kid’s cocktails too.
We ate in the Disney parks at the proper restaurants to avoid the junk food and were very impressed by the quality available - steak dinners for about 25 euros each - and very, very good.
Obviously extras like coke etc are pricey in the hotel but what the heck ...it's a holiday!

Finally been released for good...
4 / 10
Jun 2006, Mr M Allen

Finally been released for good behaviour after being held at his majesties pleasure (Mickey’s that is) after 5 days of Disney hell at hotel New York and Disneyland Paris!
Bring your wallet! For a non stop Disney spend-a-thon this plush 4 key rated hotel has no kettles in room so you pay a mere 6 euros for a cup to be brought to your room, bargain! a pint of lager will set you back 7.5 euros in the New York bar! Cheap as chips! Unless of course they are Disney chips! Which is about all you can afford to eat.
Avoid Disneyland Paris like the plague if you enjoy your freedom of choice, and wish to preserve your bank balance.

I was very disappointed with this...

I was very disappointed with this hotel. It doesn’t look as splendid as the photos and is more plastic looking! The whole hotel is very disappointing and no way near the star rating that it is classified. Its very cheap looking hotel and the facilities are very basic.
There is no atmosphere and you have a huge big que for breakfast. The breakfast is a buffet but again basic serving as compared to the hotels star rating. The service is awful, no one cares and no one smiles! With basic cutlery and dirty tables. The rooms are smallish with two large beds and enough room for a small table. The bathrooms are ok.
Overall I think this hotel would be a huge disappointment - especially if you have a family. Instead I would recommend the hotel sequiona lodge which is much more friendlier or one of the hotels in the Disney Resort which have better kids facilities and are cheaper. The bus service around the resort is so good you don’t need to stay in a hotel right in the park.
Don’t waste your money on the hotel New York!

Fantastic!! That’s how I would...

Jan 2006, laura61181

Fantastic!! That’s how I would describe the three days I spent in the New York Hotel Euro Disney just over a week ago. Texting Century radio one boring Friday night was the best thing I have done in a long time. After screaming down the phone having won three nights,4 days and flights to Euro Disney I sat and wondered who to call and tell the good news to!
After a few glasses of wine in the airport to cure my nerves of flying I really began to get excited. The flight went very smoothly (Air France) then the transfer to the Hotel only took 45minutes (Euro Disney bus normally costs £9 each).
"WOW" was my boyfriend’s first words on viewing the hotel from the bus (Neil a student, obviously not used to 4 star hotels!) The reception staff were very pleasant and could speak English, although I did try out my GCSE French on them to Neil’s amusement.
"7th Floor" the receptionist said as he directed us to the lift.
The view was fabulous, I could see the fairy tail castle from my window!! The room was beautiful, two double beds, telephone, TV, mini bar, double sink bathroom which had Mickey Mouse shampoo, shower gel and soap (presents to take back home!)
Straight into Disney......freezing cold but breath taking. We spent the day going on rides, eating in the reasonably priced restaurants/ Cafes (roughly £7 per meal per person) and shopping. The shops are slightly pricey for gifts but I bought a Grumpy (one of the seven dwarfs) huddy for about £25, not bad. The Disney parades were great, and although we are both in our early twenties we felt like little kids again..... I even stood in line with a bunch of 5 year olds to have my photo taken with Mickey!!
Breakfast was very tasty, continental but not your normal cereal and toast, a huge variety of bread, croissants, ham, cheeses, yoghurts, cereals, fruit, teas, and coffee and fruit juices.
Within the hotel there was a pool and fitness centre which to our disappointment was closed for a couple of weeks.... but by the end of the holiday we realised we would not of had time or energy to have used them!
The normal outdoor pool was turned into an ice rink in the winter.............fantastic, skating outside next to an enormous Christmas tree was spectacular, open till 12 midnight we went on one night and didn’t want to get off but having not been ice skating since I was 15 my aching ankles persuaded me otherwise. At the cost of £7 each it was well worth it.... and I didn’t fall over once!
I cannot wait to go again in the summer!!! I would definitely recommend a Christmas adventure to Euro Disney, to any family with kids or just any big kid like me..........it was magical!

Disney’s best value 4* hotel with a...

Dec 2005, awayfaraway

Disney’s best value 4* hotel with a typical New York feeling to the hotel with valet parking outside.
The rooms are beautifully appointed with all the usual Disney touches and you can get 24hr room service here as well.
The meals and restaurants in this hotel are very good indeed but you may need to pre book your table for your evening meal.
Again lovely bar as well as games rooms kids area, a hairdressers / beauticians, internet room as well as a lovely pool area and fitness centre
This is also where the ice skating rink is situated.
Again it is well worth paying the extra for a lake view room as it is a beautiful sight especially at Christmas.

We were a party of 5 adults and one...
10 / 10
Jun 2005, Mrs S Jones

We were a party of 5 adults and one toddler and stayed at the lovely New York hotel.
The rooms are spacious and very comfortable even with a cot in the room.
They have television but it does tend to be all foreign channels, we could only find one English channel and you do get a bit bored of seeing the adverts for the park but still, we didn’t spend much time in there.
Don’t touch anything in the mini bars as they are automatically charged the second you remove anything and are extortionately priced. You can get ice from machines on every floor with the provided ice bucket to cool drinks but when we were there every single machine was out of order!
On a plus side it was very, very hot when we went and the rooms were air conditioned. The view from our room looked right out onto the front of the hotel and it was very pretty of a night time, all lit up.
The facilities at the hotel are great, with a swimming pool both indoor and out, Jacuzzi, sauna and gym. We used the pool twice a day and were able to sunbathe by the pool outside on the beds provided. There were floats and armbands for the kids and towels were also provided. Very nice to go to after a day in the park.
Breakfast is in an American style diner room and is a continental buffet style, food is plentiful. The staff in the mornings didn’t seem to speak much English and often the tables hadn’t been re-laid so asking for a knife to butter your rolls was a bit difficult sometimes and they staff can seem a bit rude at breakfast time but only because they don’t understand you. Best of all, a character appears nearly every morning, good for the kids and adults alike, nobody is too old for a cuddle from Mickey!!!
The evening meal at the hotel was probably the best we had as the restaurants in the Disney village are very over priced for what you get now. They really do exploit the visitors and it is difficult to get a table in the popular restaurants as you are unable to book tables in most. The staff were brilliant and friendly in the evening.
There is a shop to get any essentials and a bar (which we didn’t visit) also a kids play area.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. We booked a day to trip to Paris which was dealt with by the concierge at the hotel, you can even book your restaurants and shows with them.
The parks are brilliant but not much shade if it is really sunny. Prices of drinks are quite high so we filled up water bottles every morning from the water fountains outside and again inside when we came across them.
Don’t miss Aerosmith in the studios, best ride ever! (Husband said I had to get that one in, lol)
The only downside for us, was booking through First Choice. They advertise these brilliant offers like free upgrade on Eurostar but cannot fulfil them even when you book 2 weeks after the brochure has been released and 11 months in advance of your travel date. If the very limited upgrade seats are not available you do not get the £ discounts either so be warned.
With out party this amounted to an extra saving of £200 or what we would of preferred, more spacious seats as we had a wriggly 2 year old to contain in a very small area for the journey from Ashford to Marne La Vallee, thank goodness it wasn’t from London, that’s all I can say! If you have children under 3, consider paying the extra for Castle class on eurostar as you get so much more room and as your child doesn’t get a seat if under 3 it makes sense believe me!
All in all, a very good holiday and having been twice before but stayed at Davy Crocket Ranch and Santa Fe, I would definitely pay the extra for the conveniently close location to the park and the brilliant hotel and stay at the New York again without fail.

We put the holiday together ourselves...
9 / 10
Oct 2004, Mrs I Hodgson

We put the holiday together ourselves as it was £400 cheaper doing it this way.
Took Easyjet to Paris. Although the flight arrived on time, it was 40 minutes before we collected our luggage as no one seemed to be working at the airport, thereby just missing the VEA bus. Had to wait about 30 minutes for the next one. As we were staying at Hotel New York, we were the last ones to be dropped off which was a bit irritating as we were in no mood to do the Disney Resort sightseeing.
However, once at the hotel, everything went smoothly. Check-in was hassle-free and staff were very friendly and efficient. Our luggage was brought up to our room. The room was clean and it was great to have 2 sinks in the bathroom. As we arrived early evening, we went to Parkside Diner immediately after checking-in but the place was fully reserved. However, the staff were very helpful and found us a table at a restaurant in the Sequoia Lodge.
As expected, food is expensive but you pay for the quality and variety. We booked a Character’s Breakfast and although the children enjoyed it, it does interrupt the meal so you cannot really enjoy the Full Hot breakfast. However, we went to Cafe Mickey for lunch one day and discovered that the characters appeared too and we did not have to pre-pay for the meal, just what we had ordered from the menu.
All in all, it was a truly enjoyable experience from the hotel to the park itself. The only fault was that the ice machines were not working on any of the hotel’s floors.

We travelled by euro star direct to...
8 / 10
Aug 2004, Ms K Woo

We travelled by euro star direct to Disneyland Paris resort and went straight into the park, we left the luggage at the train station and they were delivered direct into our rooms at the hotel.
We spent three nights at the hotel New York, which was very close to the park, only 10 mins walk. The room was spacious with 2 double beds, and the buffet breakfast was very good.
The park was very busy, often long queues, which is not fun with small children. Food was expensive in the park and also in the hotel, but there were a wide range of choices and children meals were very reasonable.
