Sultan Apartments

just returned from a 2 week stay at the sultan in altinkum with my husband and 2 children and already looking to book up again for next year,every member of staff were great especially bayram eric and hassan who couldnt do enough for us,a turkish bath was arranged for us picked up and dropped off we were also taken to the market by ali the manager,the rooms are very clean and maid service was every day,linen and towels changed everyday.Food was great and location great no complaints at all,thanxs boys for a lovely stay,c u next year!!!

We have just arrived back from these apartments and had a really nice holiday. The apartments are very clean and the staff very friendly.
Firstly these are self catering apartments but dont really have a lot of self catering utensils so would be worth taking some of your own if you intend on cooking a lot in your room. The food to buy in the hotel is excellent though and would definately recomend to anyone.
It can be a bit loud on an evening if you dont like that sort of thing especially if you have a pool side room, this was not a problem for us. The hotel location is great 5mins from a lovely beach and 10mins from the town centre but there are buses every five minutes if need be.
For what we paid for the holiday i thought this was a really good hotel but everyone has different tastes and expectations. Thanks to all the staff especially Eric and Hassam 2 of the most hard working, happy, polite, nicest people you will ever meet.

Me and my partner has just returned home from a weeks holiday here and what a great time we had, the staff are very friendly and nothing is a problem to them, the appartment themselves are very spacious, very clean could not complain about anything. The swimming pool area was nipping clean, the drinks are very reasonable,and the food is very nice! there is a pool table, darts board and table tennis indoors the staff are always willing to give you a game. The appartment block is a nice walk from the centre about 10 mins,there is a good pub just a 2 min walk serving excellent food too (the sky bar) Its the type of holiday that will leave u with great memories and new friends, would recommend this appartment to anyone and we will definatly be back.

The staff were only interested if your female and under 40...then your ok,....all the staff are male and spend the day and night touching and pushing you in the water ( some people dont like this)... the appartments are dirty and unkept in appearance....the noise level is above what you would expect for holiday appartments...and most of this noise coming from the staff flirting with the ladies. laughing and joking well in the the small hours. .the walls are paper thin...so if your unlucky and get an appt near the stairs...then you will get no sleep.....good luck if your going to these appartments....i just wished i read and taken notice of the bad reports...because these are the true picture of this really bad block of appartments...
also its in the middle of a building redevlopent sight...
so good luck with dust...noise...glass and rubble...all over the walkways and paths...
trully worse place i have been to ..
pool was emptied almost daily..due to filters not working...this made the pool very cold most of the time..
owners and guests from appartments in and around the complex welcomed in ..which made the already small pool area overcrowded..owners from nearby appartments saved chairs with towels...and most of the time did not use..
this forced us to find alternative areas to relax in through the day...as it felt as though the pool area was taken over by the "" regulars"" from appartments next door..we spent most days on the beech...which is not what we wanted.
i was glad to get on the plane to come home...
Moaned to First choice...the response was basically...you got what you paid for!!!

we had a fantastic holiday, theres loads to do here kids met loads of friends. staff are very welcoming and funny expecially nemo renaldo is a great guy too.self catering equiptment is rubbish, my advice is try bringing a toaster the other thing that lets this apartment down is overcharging on tabs, it happened not just once but a few times my advice is to pay as you buy and you cant go wrong. dont let this put you off because overall the holiday was FANTASTIC

Dont listen to rubbish reviews about Sultan. İ stayed there in july with my family and the staff were absolutely fantastic. they work very hard and long hours but they couldnt do enough for everybody, nothing was too much trouble for them. they are all fantastic with the children and make the holiday very special for them. Rooms are very spacious and very clean. Maid service daily. The maids allways have a friendly smile for u and i left money etc, lying around in my room all the time and nothing ever went missing.They have a really good games room with free internet,pool table, table tennis amd wii game.24 hour reception and food in the restraunt is excellent and prices are very reasonable. The managers Ali and Bayram are real gentlemen and ensure everyones stay is a pleasant one. Bayram is brilliant with everyone who stays there both children and adults alike and all the children during our stay there loved him. All in all a fantastic holiday and fantastic staff. İ would recommend this hotel to everyone wishing to visit Altinkum. Will definately be back nxt yr.

Just got back from our First hols in Altinkum, and had to write a review of this hotel. what can i say other than BRILLIANT! all the staff (Gerkan Byram Ronaldo Nemo Hassan etc) are Fantastic,
20 of us, 10 kids 10 adults arrived at 5am on the first day to a power cut and the
Sultan was in darkness, we checked in by candle light and staff helped us to our rooms carrying our bags up 3 flights of stairs. by this time the power had come back on and Byram then sorted out our aircon. (which is a must btw)
This set the trend for the whole holiday, they just couldnt do enough for us. Other peolpe in our party had problems with rooms and aircon etc these were quickly iron out asap.
The maid service is fantastic too she cleaned our room washed our pots and made the place smell wonderful!
Our Rep Sam was also great, organised a fantastic day at Didim water park for Our son's birthday even though it was her day off. and was on call 24/7 for anything.
Please dont be put off by Negative comments about Sultan Apartments, its clean, friendly, well situated and for the price an absolute bargain!!
When we left all the staff came out on the front to wave Us all off and it was things like this that we make me go back again and again!
Thank you Sultan for a great 2 weeks

we've been to the sultan twice now and both times have been brilliant, the staff are extremely helpful and friendly,nothings ever to much to ask.ive read a few bad reviews on the cleaners on here and all i can say is their lovelly. always a smile for you,we've left our sons psp,our mobile phones, money etc all over our room and nothing has ever been touched. my family who've gone back to the sultan for the last four years feel the same. if it wasnt for the sultan then we probley wouldnt still be coming to altinkum, as staying anywhere else just wouldnt be the same.

this is my first time in turkey and my first time in the sultan aparments.We loved it.the staff were very friendly and helpfull to rooms were very clean.The cleaners were every day clean towels sheets.I read the reviews on the hotel.And me and my familey and friends went for two weeks.Turkish night was brill the dancers the belly dancer.and the folk dancers were brill.But what made my time there was...JIMMY TIME..this guy was there and i was told he was always there.and what a guy 6 foot scotman very funny guy and like the person in the reviews said when it was 3.00 it was jimmy time they were not wrong you went in the pool simple. what a laugh there no complaints from anyone not even the staff they were in as well.thanks from me and my kids and the rest...

it was our 3rd night staying at the apartments when we went out and bought some presents for my 2 sons. i was not feeling well so i stayed in the apartment ( room ) for most of the day it was then that the young receptionist let him self into the room when i got up and told him to leave he was making excuse to say he wanted bar glasses??????
we then thought nothing of it . it was only yesterday night when we arrived home we opened our cases to find we had no presents left.
i advise if you are going to stay here to keep your belongings with you at all time. very dissapointed this year as its the 6th and last time WE AS A FAMILY WILL EVER STAY THERE.
