i would thouroughly recommend The Tower Hotel for cleanliness.Maid was lovely,left her a heavy tip ,which she really deseved.Take small back pack with you and claim it is swimming gear when asked by reception,if you are bringing food and drink from outside.Turn out hotel and turn right have a drink there staff much friendlier.
Watch out for waiter called Soi.... will try to claim that you have damaged his mobile.Totally spoilt my holiday at Tower.However Typhoon is very friendly,and nice mannered.Best restuarants in resort are Buzz Bar,and Italian on sea front(ate there 3 times but cant remember name ) lovely atmosphere,cant do enough for you.If first time in Turkey we really recommend boat trip to blue cave,breathtaking.

Just returned from Olu Deniz we stayed at the Tower hotel for one week arrived approx 6pm on the 10th September.
Location: Just at the bottom of the hill as you get into Olu Deniz which is ideal, far enough to walk to the beach and also be out of ear shot of the real noise in the town.
Hotel:Nice hotel with attractive gardens, pool and surroundings.The biggest gripe i had was with the bar system you have to put everything on your room and you can pay whenever you want which is dangerous. I personally didn't like this system and only used it 5 times (two of these were incorrect)so basically we ate and drank else where except for breakfast which was included. To toast the bread for breakfast you had to stand there and put it through 4 or 5 times.
Rooms:Basic and clean with a nice bathroom. The room had a TV and a reasonably comfortable double bed. There is no facility to make a brew and i had to rent a fridge £20 for the week.Get an upstairs room as the walls are like cardboard and we could hear everything during the night. The singing from the Mosque starts about 5am and the cleaners start about 6am and don't exactly creep around.
The staff were very polite and helpful.
I have been to Olu Deniz quite a few times and found that the prices for most things has risen but Olu Deniz is a lovely place.

Just got back from a fantastic holiday in Olu Deniz. The Tower Hotel is basic and the room was a bit small but how much time do you spend in your room..!! The hotel and it's grounds are extremely clean and the staff are very helpful. Our towels and bedding were changed daily and the staff were always friendly and couldn't do enough for you.
We stayed on a half board basis but didn't eat there every day. The food was lovely but it's so cheap to eat in Turkey that we wanted to try the restaurants as well.
The trop to Dalyan and the mud baths was great fun and the tour guide was brilliant. Olu Deniz is a great place to go for families and the people are very child friendly. There is plenty to do and my only moan is that i should have booked 2 weeks instead of 1. There is also a beach called Seahorse beach which doesn't seem to be well enough advertised but if you ask at reception you can phone and they send a free bus to pick you up and it's only 5 minutes away.
The Magic Garden is a really good place to eat/drink etc and the staff are lovely. The men are flirty with everyone but you are completely safe here and it's just their way of drumming up business nd getting you into their bars.
Overall, i had a lovely holiday in a lovely place. I will definately go back and will definately stay at The Tower again.

The Tower Hotel was the perfect location in Oludeniz, small, quiet, very friendly and within easy distance of the beach and restaurants.
Located at the bottom of the hill from Hisaranou it was away from any real noise, but only 5 mins walk from the beach front.
The room was small but more than adequate for a holiday (how much time do you spend in a bedroom on holiday!?) better to take showers in the evening as the water is hotter, all the water in the area is heated by solar energy.
We where on a bed & breakfast tarif so we att out most nights, but it's worth doing the turkish night. 30 turkish lira per person, with a buffet dinner, a free bottle of wine(go for the white) folk dancing and a belly dancer.
Taking all into account we will definitly stay in this small family hotel again. The staff where friendly and very helpful.
Locally there are many tour operators and we can only comment on the ones that we used which where, Guide Tours (Pamukkule, Boat trip and Horse riding) and Easy Riders(Paragliding and Jeep safari). Both where friendly and delivered what they offered and each trip was worth the amount paid.
We could go on and on but a great location, great people and well worth visiting again as so much to do and see.

Sadly i have just returned from my holiday adter a fab week in Olu Deniz @ the tower hotel. We booked our trip as a late deal through Monarch, the airline, resort and hotel we're all excellent value for money!
We arrived at the hotel at about 1 in the morning local time, the staff were very welcoming, took our bags to our room and then offered to open up the bar for us if we wished-which we couldn't resist.
The hotel is very clean, our room was extremely clean too, the bathroom looked liked new-FYI girls the bathrooms have hairdryers so no need to bring your own. Our towels were replaced daily and sheets changed every couple of days.
The staff are extremely nice and helpful, they will go out of their way to do anything for you.
The pool area was great-as we'd gone slightly before season 11th-18th May there was only a couple of us around the pool which was great, staff come round with tea and cakes daily
As we were B&B we never ate dinner at the hotel but we had breakfast a couple of times. Breakfast was mainly continental, i.e cheeses, hams, fruit but they had cereals, eggs and bread/toast on offer too.
The hotel is located less than 2 minutes walk to the main bar/restaurant area and the shingle/pebble beach is only 5 minutes walk from the hotel. As the beach goes east it becomes sand. The lagoon is about 10-15mins walk from the hotel, it is 3tl each to get in which is less than £1.50 so completely worth it. Expect to pay 6TL for a bed and 7TL for an umbrella which is still cheap but twice the price of the 'normal beach'
Our favourite place to eat and drink was the Buzz bar on the sea front, prices are more expensive here but the quality speaks for itself. Prices typically 15tl for a cocktail, 5tl for a beer and an average of 20tl for dinner (which is still less than £10). We ate at sugar and spice on the sea front which was also lovely and slightly cheaper than Buzz bar. Best value for money was probably ATA Lagoon just a couple of restaurants down from the hotel, very cheap and excellent food!
All in all this was a great value for money trip, the £ is still strong in Turkey so the exchange rates are much better there. Don't bother changing or bring lira with you, the hotel and about 20 other places in the resort will give you more lira for your money.
To sum up, we had a great time, we will defo come back!!

Just returned to a very chilly England. Our first trip to Turkey, and what a wonderfully chilled out place to holiday. The people are wonderful, so helpful and friendly. Olu Deniz is a lovely resort, the beach is varied with fine sand to the east and shingle and course sand from there to the lagoon. Entrance to the Lagoon is 3 lira and worthwhile as the water is calm and good for snorkling.
We agree with all the other good reviews about the hotel, the staff work a 16 hour day, covering all duties, and are lovely, kind and cheerful without a sign of discontent. The cleaning team are a little overworked trying to clean all the 130 rooms daily, tough ask, but do we need our rooms done every day? If you like salads, there are 15 to 20 choices on offer at every evening meal, in addition there is soup and a hot meal of limited choice.
One suggestion that we would make, accomodation is in blocks of eight, 4 up and 4 down. Get an upstairs room, the ceilings are thin and you hear every step and sound above the normal.
Out and about, anyone who who has service to offer, be it at the markets or in the resort shops, bars and restaurants, they will try to entice you in with friendly banter straight from "Fools and Horses". Great fun and very ammusing. There no copyright law in Turkey so everything you buy is probably from "Trotter Independant Traders" These people don't take themselves seriously so join in the banter and barter hard.
As mentioned in other reviews take English pounds you can spend them in most places and convert to lira in many of the shops (at a better rate than M&S)
The are lots of cash machines at the various resorts.
Imported drinks are expensive.
Paragliding. We watched lots of landings which I guess is the risky part. What we saw was very good and safe. People we spoke to said the journey up the mountain at 1960M was worse than the decent. Watch for yourself and make up your own mind is the best advice. Prices at end of Sept. 60 lira plus another 40/50 for the DVD of your flight. Insurance included.
Turkish people love children and will show it in ways that are now feared in Britain. Please accept they are genuinly friendly and try to reciprocate and enjoy their hospitality. If only we could enjoy the simple way of life you will enjoy on your holiday in this wonderful place.

Having just returned from a weeks holiday, thought I would write my review!
About the hotel:
We arrived in the middle of the night, and were warmly greeted at reception by staff who carried both of our suitcases to the room, and also opened up the bar area for us to get a cold drink. They couldnt have been more helpful or welcoming and continued to be like this throughout the week.
The hotel itself was lovely and clean. Maybe its a girl thing, but the first thing I checked was our bathroom, which was spotless, the shower was clean and large and was very powerful! Our towels were changed daily, and our sheets were changed several times during our weeks stay. Anything you needed, all you had to do was ask. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the beach and main bar area's.
The pool area was lovely and chilled (music not too loud), and every day at 4.30pm, the staff came round with a tea trolley with fresh cream cakes and tea & coffee (treat!!) It had stunning views of the mountains behind the resort (we were also lucky enough to see a giant eagle flying overhead). You can also lie on your sun lounger and watch the paragliders over head!
About the resort:
The resort was perfect with just the right amount of restaurants and bars. Recommendations include: The Magic Garden (just down from the hotel), Phillips and The Secret Garden - (turn left at the ATA Lagoon hotel and its half way along the street!) - very cheap, good cocktails - 10YTL for 2!! If you continue straight along this street, it will take you to the top of the main bar/restaurant street area. N-Joy karaoke bar was also fun!! Prices get more expensive, the further towards the sea front that you go, we saved ourselves half of the money, having the same dinner in The Magic Garden, than we did down at the sea front!!
The Blue lagoon beach area is lovely and worth a visit, but the beach is very very pebbly (quite sore to walk on). Most shops sells these little slip on beach shoes which you can wear straight into the water (excellent solution!!) Also buy snorkelling gear at one of the local shops before you go, as the prices at the lagoon are definitely more expensive. Lots of lovely fish to see, definitely worth it!
To sum things up, myself and my boyfriend had an amazing holiday in a beautiful resort, with the most friendly, pleasant people. So much so, that we will definitely be back next year, and we wouldnt hesitate in staying at The Tower Hotel again!!

Hotel was basic but very nice.No english channels on tv.The breakfast was not nice,but it was only 4.00 elsewhere! Special thanks to tom behind the bar,he is so helpful,and such a lovely person.The maid(a young dark haired girl) was such a pain tho! She would knock when you had the do not disturd sign on the door.Then she would laugh when you opened the door to ask why she knocked! When we wanted the room cleaning she would 'nt do it,untill we phoned reception to ask,at 5.30 in the evening.Then it would get done straight away! Apart from that it is a lovely hotel in the perfect place.Alsomake sure you take english pound,because you get a better rate.You can use it everywhere!xxx

Jus back from a 1 week stay at the Tower and we had a great time. The rooms were tiny but spotless and the staff excellent. We went half board and the food was ok if a little limited. We found the restaurants on the front offered everything you could want. If you want a chill out holiday the resort is perfect but if you want thrills they are all on offer, from white water rafting, scuba and paragliding. We opted for an easy going 12 island boat trip which is recommended. We will definitley be being going back.

Myself and Partner arived in the small hours of the morning to a warm wlecome and helped with our luggage to an immaculate and nice size room for two. The bathroom facilites were excellent, large power shower cubicle, hairdryer and decent sized mirror over hand basin. The rest of the room was included two single beds - which we pushed together, and ever since the maid would keep them pushed together for us [bless] -and plenty of storage for clothes and even space to hide away the suitcases! everyday the room was cleaned, and 5 fresh towels would be provided. None of our possesions went missing, which was a pleasant surpise.
The turkish night that the hotel hosts is a must! 30 lira, which is about £15 for an open buffet of meze[all kinds of turkish starters] barabcued meats and fish and deserts accompanied by a bottle of house wine, then followed with a folk dance show and belly dance show both in which the guest are able to participate and have a laugh! bargain!
any photos you may see of this hotel DO NOT do it justice, it is a beatuiful hotel, and the staff are beyond friendly.
the resort was beautiful also, especially the famous blue lagoon. watersports at the lagoon were so cheap in comparrison to those of other destinations. to rent a pedalo was around £10, single canooes[as they call them] were £3.50 each! sunbeds are always 15 lira -£7.50 so this can sometimes be a hidden cost that people don't think about so have the money when you plan to go to the beach.
there are plenty of travel companies around the streets of the resort, all trying to charm you into going with them, they all pretty much offer the same things. I recommend SeaHorse travel which is just down the main road from hisaronu towards the beach, and you need to speak to a cheeky young man called "harry potter" he helped me and my boyfriend have some wonderful trips during our brief week in turkey.
another thing i recommend is to have a turkish bath at the start of your holiday, its around £4 and just great. you can even have a massage afterwards for around £10-15 bargain!
words of warning:
-don't pay attanetion to the street dogs, they will only follow you if you do, but are fine if you ignore them.
-don't have all your money changed over to lira, if you can take all sterling, and change it as you need it, as turkish people seem to prefer the £, it may make your hagerling easier...
-the beach is sand AND SHALE so a little dissapointing, but if you manage to go on a trip to dalyan to turtle beach you will see that beach is pure sand, and the waves are so much fun!
-Buy all essentials before you get to turkey, thingslike suncream, aftersun, they are expensiv on resort, probably because if you need them you will pay any price. whereas exptras are cheap to attarct you into them i.e trips meals and luxury goods. you want to be getting watches t-sirts and such at half the price they start at, so try your hand at haggling to get the bargains. though... shops with stickers, wont haggle!
-DO NOT PARAGLIDE every rep we spoke to no matter the travel company, warmed us against this. apparently there are so many accidents, and you can velieve this when you get to see the mass amount of paragliders in the sky at all times of the day. if you do anything, go on the microlight trips, which are deemed much safer.
SOME HELPFUL TURKISH
Hello= merhaba
no= hiya
yes= avet
please= lutefen
thankyou= teshacudurum [these are spelt phonetically so say them how they look]
hope this helps anyone considering this hotel or resort
I 100% recommend you go, the people are lovely, the weather is faultless, and there is so much to do and see, and at the end of the day you can sit in some restaurant garden somewhere and watch the paragliders in the night sky and just chill.... :) xxx

The Tower Hotel is absolutely fantastic. Perfect walking distance from the beach, the main strip with the shops, restaurants and convenience stores. Close enough to walk, but far enough to be in peace. All about 5/10 minutes walk away. The staff are amazing, always ready to help and come over to have a chat. One of the cleanest hotels I have ever been to. The rooms are cleaned every day by the maids, towels changed every day, and the grounds of the hotel are immaculate. I think it must have had a very recent refurbishment too, as the bathroom in our apartment was brand spanking new, fully fitted with a power shower! Air conditioning in the rooms is £3 per day, but well worth it. The views from the hotel are breathtaking. I really don't have anything bad to say about this hotel, and when I go back to Olu Deniz, this is where I'm going to stay.

we stayed at the tower hotel for two weeks bed snd breakfast in july 2010.we found the rooms to be clean and tidy with much needed air conditioning!.the breakfast served was basic but ok and the staff were friendly and helpful.good places to eat were the buzz beach bar and the help bar(both on the sea front).the only downside of the holiday was the blue lagoon and the price of the umbrellas and loungers on the beach.the lagoon was very crowded with the loungers almost stacked on top of each! and the beach prices worked out to be £15 for two loungers and an umbrella.we both really enjoyed our holiday and would go back.
