- Advice: As with any holiday, read the reviews,, but go with an open mind. You cannot please everybody all of the time, only some of the time. I have found some of the complaints in the reviews inconsequential. The holiday is what you make it!

Just had a week at the Caribe. What a fab hotel, clean, friendly, plenty of choice food wise, whether you are vegetarian, diabetic or not there is loads of choice. The sunbeds are a bit uncomfortable so do get something to put underneath your towel. No complaints whatsoever,, the staff were lovely and friendly, cleaners were there every day and towels changed. Would go back again as this is so near to everything that is going on in Es Cana and children are well looked after by both hotel staff and Thomas Cook Staff. Options of fridge and safe in room at minimal fee an added bonus.
- Advice: Speak to the neighbours about their noisy dogs

The hotel caribe was a lovely clean hotel and ran by lovely staff, the cleaners came in every day but one. we went halfboard and the breakfast and evening meals were excellent plenty of choice. Bar staff were very firendly.I would strongly recommend this to any one with a young family and to go all inclusive out side the hotel can be exspensive. plenty of activities for the kids, And the flights out and back could not have been any better, thankyou to the caribe and thomas cook team for an enjoyable holiday.

This hotel is nice, clean, friendly and good for families.
Its near to the beach, shops, bars and resaurants.
Food nice, plenty of it,well cooked & nice and hot.
Went All Incluesive-treat like 2nd class when it comes to bar area-You have to line up at one end of the bar-Can only get Two drinks at a time-If you need any more then you have to line up again! Drinks are in small plastic glasses so its not long before your back at the bar again.Tea & Coffee is from a vending machine in plastics cups!On an evening not enough staff behind the bar and so long queues. Entertainment starts too late, sometimes 10.45 & the All Incluesive bar shuts at 11pm?
Been Two years running,Stopped on the 4th & 5th floors(not pool side)and didnt find it noisy.

Just back from this hotel, had a great time here , don't know why people would not like this hotel .I found it very clean , staff were friendly and very helpful .
I had asked for a quiet room and that's what I got . Had a room at side of hotel , there was no noise from other guests so had no trouble sleeping ,(might be a different story overlooking the pool) .
Was there for a week ,thought the food was ok , plenty of choice , well cooked and plenty of it . Was it award winning ? probably not but nothing to complain about .
The pool was a bit noisy , but guess what , its a family hotel with both kids and adults having fun , so chill out your on holiday .
Rooms were cleaned every day , towels were changed every day air con. was top class .
Would go back here any time ,

My partner and myself have just returned after a 10 day holiday to the Caribe in Es Cana, Ibiza, and what a let down, the hotel was nice and clean, the room ok, but we had a room overlooking the pool, and we have the endless barking of the dogs outside, the pool area was good, but if you go to this hotel make sure you take something padded to use on the sunbeds, boy are they uncomfortable. The staff we found friendly enough, but the food in the hotel at night is appalling, we started to eat out in the end and we were all inclusive. They advertise that you have tv, yes you do, but all you hear in english is the news channel, drinks at the bar, once you get to the bar, are worse than you get at home, on more that one occasion the measure wasnt the same as an optic measure,i could go on and on, but wont be going back to this hotel again, too many kids as well, but when you look at the brochure kids are free. If you want quiet dont go to the Caribe.
- Advice: Change the chef and get decent, varied food, all inc should mean all inc, and get rid of howling dogs outside

You'll have a good holiday at the Caribe in es canar if you observe the following:
1. wait for the bargain late deal - full brochure price may leave you feeling ripped off. We paid £160 a head, all inclusive and that included our ryanair 99p flights so we felt we got a fab bargain.
2. email the hotel and ask for a room overlooking the pool to avoid the horrible view of the backyards and the barking dogs.
3. ask for a room on the top floor (floor 5) to avoid the scraping of chairs above your head and sounds of people walking about in their room above.
4. take something to do in the evening. entertainment is aimed at the under 8's only. take playing cards, travel games, books, i pod, lap top or you'll be b-o-r-e-d to tears.
5. if going out of season take wetsuits for the pool. its not heated and f-r-e-e-z-i-n-g in oct!
6. learn a few key spanish phrases before you go,it'll get you a smile from the staff. Thank you, hello, 2 beers please etc etc. Nothing rubs the spanish up more than ignorant brits expecting everyone abroad to speak english.

Went for a week at the end of the season. not much to do as everything was closing. Hotel was clean and staff were brilliant. Lovely pool with very uncomfortable sunbeds. busy bar with expensive drinks. Be aware of the dogs being left all day in a small, grotty yard at the back of the hotel. It was very upsetting. Only other complaint was the quality of the evening meal. I dont eat meat and found it very difficult to find anything to eat. horrible drinks from the juice machine and coffee machine. entertainment was excellent for the younger kids not sure if teenagers would be so happy.
- Advice: ideal for kids and older couples

My partner and I have just been away to Caribe, what a waste of good earned money! the food was awful and the room! we have stayed at better travel lodges! a small tv (portable with no remote control) the shower was what can I say but useless. Thank goodness the weather was hot . I dont know where 3 stars came from, we went out for a dinner one night even though we had paid for all inclusive, we spoke to one of the landlords at a local pub and they told us lots of people have complained. An absolute no no! Apart from the cheery young man who checked your card each eveing on entrance to the dining hall the rest of the staff were either rude or had a scowl on their faces.
- Advice: dont bother!

paid 1400 pounds allinclusive for 1 week from 15 aug to 22 aug with good flights.constant queues for drinks most of evening,if your room is next to the stairs dont go to bed before 12.15 because the noise is pretty bad people walking up the stairs.food not too bad, entertainment started about 10 .45 went on till 12 way too late all inc. finished at 11.bad idea.sky t.v plenty of screens.we booked with thomas cook but at the time not told this was a hotel so half are kids so expect to splashed and sprayed with water pistols if you are anywhere near the pools.hotel very clean staff are ok,entertainment poor, good location more or less middle of town, near beach and harbour.i thought es cana itself was alittle bit tatty and run down.go to apache bar round corner near fun fair 1.50 euros a pint.

We have recently returned from our third holiday at the Caribe and yet again we had a fantastic holiday. Our rooms on the forth floor overlooking the pool were clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially those at reception. There was a vast selection of food at dinner, the salads were fresh and tasty and the hot food was varied and of good quality. I have read a few reviews about this hotel and I can not understand the negative comments which have been made. We will definately return!

The hotel service and location was absolutely excellent - only five minutes walk to the sea. The room and amenities were also excellent. We liked everything that was laid on especially the service and friendliness of the staff who were always happy to assist. Having said that, it would have been nice to have had tea or coffee facilities in the room. On a couple of days the food was not to our taste, but this was no problem, as we were going to eat out on some days anyway.
We did experience the sound of dogs barking and we heard people moaning about this. However, when I was looking out over the pool from the balcony I saw some guests actually teasing the dogs and making them bark from their balcony and children were also seen shaking the fence. Perhaps this would account for the dogs barking. Other than on these occasions that I experienced, they were quiet.
There were two occasions daily when snacks were available. What I would like to see is tea, coffee and fruit readily available. Not all guests like fizzy drinks, alcohol or fast food.
There were five adults in our party and we all agreed that the hotel, the staff and the experience was excellent. We certainly would go to Caribe Hotel again.
