The entire holiday was amazing, the hotel was fantastic and the staff were the friendliest people I’ve ever met.
A huge thanks to the entertainment team though who work a hard shift. The kids reps super stace, slammin Si and dj Dave were great with the kids. But the main amazing ones were Kerry and Donna who were brill, they provided top entertainment from 10 in the morning til 12 at night and worked non stop. Thanks to Kerry and Donna who made our holiday, without your entertainment our holiday wouldn’t have been half as good.
Another thanks to Rosa who was the funniest barmaid I’ve ever met, keep on that dancing diet there!

I'm going to write a lengthy review now, but it really can just be summed up in one word. Wow. Why the hell haven't I been to Ibiza before? And especially the Caribe?? This place was the home for me and my family for two weeks - and it felt like a home, which is the highest praise I could bestow on it. Where else could I start other than with the Thomas Cook reps? Mr. Ladies Man A.K.A Darnell and Pennie were extremely helpful and cheery at all times (even when being chucked in the pool), the kids reps were excellent - Super Stace, Nat Na Na and DJ Dave (sort that voice out Dave lad!), but the cream of the crop were the entertainment reps, Donna and Kerry. You two deserve a medal, in the hotel at 9:30am every morning, working until 4:00pm, then back again at 7:30pm and working again until midnight. And doing it all with a smile on their face, even after Dave left them in the lurch and went home the other Wednesday. In fact, at the time of writing, they had just become the number 1 ranked Thomas Cook entertainment team worldwide, with the highest average percent giving excellent for day and night-time entertainment. And that's as a two man team, competing against the rest of the other teams who are mostly 4 man teams. Killer pool, killer darts, French boules, quizzes, water polo (NO RULES!!!!!), fitness sessions, Giant Jenga, Casino games - the choice and their patience is unreal. And if you're lucky enough to win one of those competitions, you might even get a superstar t-shirt (I've got a lovely green one, and cheers for signing it girls), or a certificate (brought 5 home with me). At night time there's a mixture, either cabaret acts, or the staff perform a show, either way what's on (after Dynamite Disco for the kids and also bingo of course) is normally superb entertainment, although if Donna's completely honest that singing could do with a bit of tweaking :-) A big thanks from Big Steve girls - if you're ever in Burnley, look us up and we'll have a few drinks. All of the hotel staff were warm and welcoming, from Christina, Anna and the other girls on reception, to Chari and the rest of the waitresses (my youngest loved you girls), to the bar staff, Vicente, Roberto, Taleb, Dominique and last but certainly not least - bonkers Rosa. All of you make the Caribe such a superb place. The maid service is exceptional, sheets changed 6 days out of 7 (not Thursdays), and the towels changed every day. That's as well as giving the room a bit of a spruce up. You cannot fault that. As for the food and it's quality - again superb. I've seen reviews here and there accusing this place of being a bit samey when it comes to the catering - utter utter rubbish. I've never seen so much variety, and on the same menu too. One night we had roast beef off the bone, pork curry, chicken kebabs, grilled salmon plus assorted bits and bobs like onion rings, chips, salad etc etc etc to chose from. On the same night. And bar certain things like chips (which would be on the menu every night in most hotels if people use their common sense - we're talking family's here). And the quality was brilliant too. Out of this world. I did find the odd fault - the bar is a bit pricey - E1.70 for Coke/Fanta etc and also 500ml bottles of water. You're better off hiring a fridge and heading out to one of the numerous and excellent supermarkets nearby where you can get 8litres of water for E2.00. Yes, I said two euro's. Also, I was slightly concerned by the main pool. In the main it is excellent, the area is spotless, as is the pool, but there is a slope in the pool itself, just beyond the shallow white area where the blue area starts, around the 1.2M mark. It is quite slippy, I slipped several times myself - even though I knew it was there - and I was quite concerned there could be an accident involving one of the kids, especially with there being no life guard by the pool. Maybe they could create a 'shelf' rather than have a slope, and rail it off for the kids? Whatever, it's better than what is there currently. My third and final gripe, is the fact there is no laundrette on site. I know it's a bit picky, but it would be a help to people, especially families who have alot of clothes to wash repeatedly. In fact i was talking to one of the other guests this morning just before I left, and she said the same thing, and apparently the basement is empty - why not stick a few machines and dryers in there and charge a small fee per load or something? There is a laundrette in town, further up from Las Arenas and the Jacaranda, but it's not great having to lump bags of clothes through a holiday resort is it? Anyway, those are really only small minus points against what is pretty much a perfect hotel. The resort of Es Cana is excellent (in my opinion of course), the beach is superb (and it's only a short walk from the Caribe), whilst there is a plethora of little cafe's or bars to stop and have a drink or a bite to eat in, at most times of the day too. If you're old enough, try a pint of Estrella from Rockerfella's - wow. Glasses in the fridge to start with and the most crisp taste you could every imagine when it's been poured. At night, most people seem to head to Charlie's, but myself and the missus didn't like the place, quite dirty and seedy inside, and there were kids of roughly 16 being served at the bar - not for me thanks. If that's the type of thing that floats your boat then fair enough, ignore me, but Popeye's was much better, (Jim Rhodes is great fun - Slurp!) and I've heard great stuff about Granny's as well. Or you can head out to San An or Ibiza Town. We didn't partake in many excursions due to having a young 'un, but the people I spoke to enjoyed themselves when they went on them. We did go to Santa Eulalia on the ferry though, 8 euro's return for adults and 4 for the kids - under 2's go free as well. Stunning views too, got some great pics on my camera. The town is pretty, and quite busy as well, but it does shut down at dinnertime for the locals to Siesta, so if you're going to go make sure it's either very early or after dinner. Have a nose round the Marina as well - stunning. So to sum up - again it's that word - wow. The island is even more beautiful than we imagined or had indeed heard, it really really is, and the people are brilliant. If you're after sun sea, sangria, sounds and sex - then you'll most likely head off to San An and ignore this review, but if you've got a family, or you're after a relaxing break, or you're a bit beyond you're clubbing days, then Es Cana, and especially the Hotel Caribe, is the place for you. So come on, all together now - "Hold your head and, hold your ears and, hold your nose and....".

This hotel looks and feels like a 4 star hotel not a 2-3 star as advertised, it is nicely decorated and very clean- maids come in everyday and clean towels are also provided daily. Also free air conditioning in the rooms is fab. One problem we were on the front of the hotel and because of the position of hotel and barriers between balconies never ever got the sun on our balcony which was disappointing.
This is not an ideal hotel for a quiet holiday, it is really quite noisy with lots of children running around at all hours. Also it tended to be noisy late at night in the corridors. It is described as a family hotel with kids club etc so that's to be expected, but everything is geared for kids regardless of lots of other guests who don't have children.
We were disappointed with the food found it to be rather dull, we ate out most evenings and found the local restaurants to be very reasonably priced. La Perla is a local bar/restaurant where the locals go (always a good sign) and their tapas and sangria were amazing and so cheap.
We will go back to Es Cana which is a nice resort and Ibiza is a beautiful island but would be reluctant to return to the Caribe Hotel purely because it is so child orientated and we don't have children! For those who like a lively hotel and who have children I think it would be a good choice.

This hotel was brilliant, I went with my partner and it was one of the best hotels I have stayed in.
Es Cana is a lovely resort (not too quiet). Hotel Caribe was extremely nice and deserved more than a two star. I will definitely be returning to this property.
Charlie's bar was brilliant playing lively house music and had plenty of entertainment (I would definitely recommend going here).

Booked 2 weeks before departure at a brilliant price for 2 adults and 1 child aged 8years.
Very busy hotel (school holidays) but enjoyed 2 week stay. Thomas cook entertainment team great lots going on every day for all no pressure to join in. Lots of families also couples! Hotel well placed for beach and stroll into town. Resort very busy but didn’t feel over crowed. Transport links to other resorts no problem, boat bus etc. Lovely family resort can be as relaxing or energetic as you wish.
Hotel staff very polite and efficient, hotel and grounds spotless always see staff cleaning didn’t matter what time of day it was. We found food to be very good with ample choice given size of hotel and the numbers they cater for. Room spacious(only 3 of us) 2 double beds a/c in room which is a blessing with the heat.
Have storage room (re late flights) also separate shower rooms which again were very clean. Unable to secure late check out so used this facility so were able to enjoy full last day.
All in all had a fab holiday, had i paid brochure price would have felt the same.
Hotel had cctv covering all hotel floors and grounds excellent when you have kids.

An excellent large hotel, with very friendly staff and good entertainment. A large dining area with plenty of choice available. Situated 3 minutes walk from the beach and 2 minutes from the town centre.
All rooms have balcony and own bathroom and are tastefully decorated. Large pool area and smaller pool for children along with children’s club.
Daily and evening entertainment. Bar open until 1am...
Would highly recommend and will be returning next year.

This turned out to be a surprisingly good holiday. We didn’t plan on going to Ibiza, but due to the lateness of our booking (3 weeks prior to departure) there wasn’t much choice. It tuned out to be a great holiday. The hotel accommodation was ok, 6/10, and it was extremely hot in the rooms as there was no air-conditioning, but the hotel food was excellent, particularly the local salads. The two swimming pools were also ideal for our three children, along with the playground.
The closest beach was just a five minute walk away, and this proved to be a popular playground for our children. With the exception of one day, the sea was very gentle and we could all bathe and splash around until we were tired.
The holiday lasted a week, which is about as long as we could take for a hotel/beach based itinerary. With three children (7, 3 and 3) you can’t be too adventurous, and travel in the hot weather is not a good idea. I would come to the same resort again, although I’d need to get a hotel room with air-conditioning if we came in August. I’d recommend it to any family with young children.

Just returned from Ibiza and after reading the reviews previously about the hotel, I couldn't agree more with all the positive comments about the hotel.
The hotel is definitely worth more than the three stars it currently has.
Food - Loads of choice and not swimming in grease and fat like other hotels we have stayed in. Breakfast is the usual as any hotel, but good quality and lots of it. Every three days they had a chef out of the kitchen carving joints of meat for you in the evening. Loads of vegetables and different types of potatoes available as well.
Entertainment - The two girls, Donna and Kerry, work their socks off, as it should be a three-person team. Full of energy and laughs. It is not in your face like some places, so if you want to get involved you can, put they don't push you!
Hotel - Absolutely spotless. Maid service every day, towels changed daily and sheets every two days. Lovely having the air con in the rooms as well. It is worth hiring a fridge for 3 euros a day from the hotel, as you can get 8 litres of water for just over 2 euros, instead of the 300ml bottles from the machines for 1.50 euros!
Area - Quiet a quiet resort, with a number of supermarkets and tourist shops. If you fancy a sandwich at lunchtime, go to the big Spar. Fancy a good pint of beer, and then go to Rockafellas bar (Glasses from the fridge!)
Anyway, fantastic hotel and area and you will enjoy your stay here.
