myself and two friends stayed here in november 2011 we went for a relaxing week and that is what we got peaceful and quiet at night we found all the staff very friendly appartments basic but very clean but beds hard pool very very cold so no one swimming i did once and only once would def stay here again in fact planning for november 2012

Been to these apartments before and they needed TLC then but now it needs a full refurbishment. The furniture looked the same as 10 years ago. The doors don't close easily, the fridge is still rusty and needs help closing. There is a modern kettle and toaster now. This... more

Love this place,just got back from a 10 days stay,been there 4 times with my boyfriend and love it.
Bar staff are world class and Ali's happy hour are brill.Hope to back next year.

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC from A TripAdvisor Member
I found the Plaza Palmeras to be fantastic. We stayed for 11 nights. The pool and pool areas were cleaned daily. The staff were more than friendly. Good entertainment of an evening. Apartment, though basic, was very clean. My only gripe was the fact that you had to pay extra for the toaster, tv, etc. Apart from that I could not complain at all. The reception staff were always helpful and polite. AN ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL HOLIDAY. The resort was excellent.

we have just returned from a two week holiday at plaza palmeras they are basic but kept clean but could have done with bedding and towels changing more often the food served at the bar was not great and neither was the beer but we went self catering and ate out at some fantastic restaurants ie spillers irish bar half way down the hill food not cheap but lovly the pool bar is very loud up until midnight so dont expect any early nights on the plus side it is not far from the beach bars and shops and the staff were very freindly and it has a... more

My husband & I arrived back to the UK on 5th January 2006. Thankgoodness we hadn't booked in this hotel for longer. The food they offered on the buffet table was just inedible, chips swimming in oil and stew that resembled animal vomit. We both are not fussy eaters. Accomodation was not that brilliant either, clean, but very basic. Kettle, toaster, television had to be hired.There was not a set area for diners, the restuarant/pool bar was more like a road side cafe. We arrived Thursday 21st Sept for a weeks girlie holiday, the apartment was very clean and basic, maids in everyday to change towels and clean apartment, we were very impressed with the pool, this was cleaned everyday. Staff were fantastic and very helpful, we did not stay for the entertainment in the evenings, rather go to the bars. The weather was fantastic, we stayed by the pool most days because of the good breeze, would recommend these apartments to families, a very family orientated place. I booked a cheap holiday at the Plaza Palmeras based on the reviews from this and other sites. I had a good break but the apartments did not live up to their billing and Puerto del Carmen itself is dull and dirty, it was like Blackpool in the sun. The apartment complex looks good at first glance, but it is showing it's age. I assume that it is open all year round and never has any time for deep cleaning or anything more that emergency maintenance. The apartment decor is dirty, the furniture is at best adequate. just got back from plaza palmeras--great place--bit of a fight for the sunbeds in the morning--well bit more than a fight but brill place. met fantasticly friendly people, going back again. had great time at the bar--especially happy hour! buy one get one free. bar does snacks cheap and cheerful! pool lovely and clean, rooms kept well, would say makes a great family place.

If you want to know in detail weather your going to the right place then read this review. There was eight of us all together ranging from the age of 17-20 all friends apart from me and my boyfriend. I was told that it wasn't a lively place from other reviews which worried me a little because thats what my friends especially were going for. We loved it as soon as we arrived. Gorgeous pools and the apartment was spacious and clean. Brill for couples and families. Can highly recommend as your also guaranteed the weather. Helpful and friendly staff also. Evening entertainment at the apartments could do with some re thinking but hey.

Stayed at the Plaza Palmeras 01/03/05 - 10/03/05. The weather was very good, only 1 dull day and a little rain on two nights. The hotel is good basic accomodation, the rooms are clean but worn and in need of refurbishment. Nice pool area but the water was icy cold!! Two electic rings, a kettle and a fridge make up the catering facilties, you can hire toasters, microwaves etc. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
