" Very comfortable and well equipped... "

Very comfortable and well equipped hotel on the main road into the city or to the airport.
Free parking available too if driving. Both busy with business travellers and tourists with weekends a fav place to stop off if there is anything happening over at Murryfield which isn’t too far away so prices can vary quite a bit so book well ahead if possible.
The city zoo is just behind the hotel so worth having a room on the front road less traffic noise than the seal noise yes they can be a bit noisy at times. Travelling into the city is easy as there is a bus stop right in front the hotel.
There are a few choices in the hotel to eat from including a Chinese in the hotel along with the normally expected main restaurant and bar or room service too.
This is my preferred place to stay whilst in Edinburgh as its close to my places of work and not too far from the city centre and airport.
Would recommend booking your say direct through the hotels own web site for the best prices.

Our bed was comfy and the option of a pillow menu was a novelty. The hotel appears to have been newly renovated, however, there are still a few problems with plumbing, our toilet made a very strange noise about 30 seconds after flushing, and the shower curtains were inadequate at keeping water inside the bath, most mornings we had to put a towel down afterwards to mop up.
There was a disturbing incident that happened to another member of our party on the Saturday night when someone came into the room in the middle of the night; they had a key for the room. The hotel took this very seriously and looked into it, but I’d suggest if you stay here that you put the safety lock on the door before you go to sleep.
The breakfast was really nice and although our package was only for a continental breakfast we were allowed to choose from the entire menu so could have the full English if we liked at no extra cost.
The gym was free, which was a nice perk, although the machines were a little dated. The Zoo is also right next door and you get a discount if you say you stay at the hotel, this was a fun way to spend a few hours.
All in all this was an ok place to stay, it was only a 15 minute bus ride from the airport, and the same again into the centre of town, and with fares at only £1 a trip it’s the best way to get around. I would maybe prefer to stay somewhere in the centre of Edinburgh if I were to go again, but I wouldn't rule out this hotel.
