The Apex International is a clean comfortable hotel in the lively Grassmarket area of Edinburgh. The lobby is bright and modern and check in took just a couple of minutes on a busy Thursday evening. My room was a standard double. The rooms are all modern and tastefully decorated with bright white linen.
A large TV, table and desk, trouser press and internet connection were all present in the room. The bathroom was clean with a toilet, sink and shower/bath. A free rubber duck is provided in the bath! The hotel bar is just like any other hotel bar (fairly soulless) but this is where the Apex International has an advantage of other hotels in Edinburgh.
Being situated in the Grassmarket it has 7-8 bars within a minutes walk. There are also a number of excellent restaurants in the Grassmarket. The breakfast in the hotel is also excellent and cooked to order. All in all the Apex International is recommended for business or leisure visitors.

Customer Service in this hotel is completely and utterly unacceptable, there was complete disregard for the welfare and satisfaction of customers both current and potential. The manner in which the staff, in particular the manager carried themselves was nothing short of appalling. If only it was possible to give this hotel a rating of 0 or below.
