I arrived home yesterday from Turkey. When we arrived at the hotel at 4am, the staff were helpful and friendly and took our suitcases to our room for us.
The room was very clean, not too modern but equipped with basic things such as air con, dressing table etc.
The pool was very clean however a few bugs came around the pool during midday sort of time.
The Turkish people were very friendly and we made many friends, the weather was good and I would return.
Although one bad point would be the food served at the hotel, it was not very adventurous and did not really have any flavour to it.
I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel and I would recommend it for a pleasant short break.

Majestic Hotel what can I say, nothing much regal about this gaff!
The resort its self is a lovely place and you can easily get around. The trips we went on were well planned and interesting.
In the resort of Olu Deniz, and a short bus ride away were plenty of restaurants offering a wide selection of cuisine, which was just as well.
My friend and I had booked our stay at the Majestic to include half board, this proved to be a terrible mistake as we had to eat out for the last 4 nights of our 7 day stay, the food provided by the hotel was appalling and the same each evening.
Soup and bread followed by rice, chips, salad and whatever other concoction was stuck on the plate. In addition desert consisted of either half an apple sliced which had gone brown as it was left standing out too long or half an orange slice!
There was nothing to drink on offer either, during or at the end of the meal. The staff were unfriendly, unhelpful and dilatory.
My friend and I only saw male staff the whole of our stay, and it was very obvious that they seemed to have a problem with female guests holidaying together.
This fortunately was only evident at the hotel as everywhere else we went people were very very helpful and friendly.
On talking to other people staying in the various hotels it certainly appeared that we had drawn the short straw, the best place seemed to be Lykia World, the guests staying there had paid very little more than us for all inclusive!
The only positive comment that I can make in regard to the Majestic is that it is very clean in the public areas.
Our room was in the newer part of the hotel that was also clean with comfortable beds. Other guests were not quite so lucky!
If I had had prior knowledge about this hotel I would certainly not have selected it, or at the very least only stayed on a BB basis.
We would return to Turkey but not to this hotel. So be warned!

The majestic is a lovely hotel with good size rooms. The cleanliness was of a very high standard. The staff were very friendly and could not do enough for you, although they did not speak much English (but this added to the fun of the holiday)!
The location of the hotel was good as it is right at the edge of the resort so is very quiet, but is only a short walk to the shops and beautiful beach. We didn’t have an evening meal at the hotel but the breakfasts and snacks were very good (and they come around the poolside mid afternoon with cakes)!
If I ever go back to Turkey I would love to stay at the majestic again

Had a great time at this small but friendly hotel.
The breakfast was awful but I have visited other resorts on a number of occasions and it is the same everywhere.
The pool area was always clean and not too crowded.(especially not at 1.00am!)
The staff work very hard and many hours but are always helpful. Ozzy the barman is very entertaining and fun and will liven up your evenings!
Olu Deniz is the most beautiful resort in Turkey and we can’t wait to visit it again.

We stayed at the majestic hotel Olu Deniz for a two week holiday.
The Hotel is situated just off the Main road into Olu Deniz and is quite a walk to the beach and the centre, so I wouldn’t say it is ideal for people with walking difficulties etc.
The hotel was clean and tidy and the staff were all friendly and helpful.
The breakfasts were basic - and also quite sparse if you like a lie in!

All I can actually say is that this hotel was brilliant!! Brilliant in the way of making you feel welcome and comfortable. The staff are amazing, Ozzy and Tarik the resident bar men are great they truly make this hotel special .We have been to many countries over the years, Cuba, Spain, Jamaica America, .Mexico. But Turkey was just so different its untrue we have already booked this same hotel for next year!!
Seriously I don’t know why some people moan about the small things about this hotel!! The pool is great the bar is great the staff are great they can’t do enough for you and the rooms are basic but you only sleep in them anyway.
All I can say is get to know the bar men Ozzy and Tarik. They will make your holiday special!! The bars and restaurants in Olu Deniz are great but if you fancy a more English night then take a trip to Hisaronou and visit some of the bars over there. It’s about 10mins in the dolmus and about 50p, there’s also a very nice restaurant called ''black & white" make sure you visit it and ask for the waiter ''Jamie'' he'll get you free cocktails in his brothers bar up the hill.
The drinks in hisaranou are more expensive than Olu Deniz! If your into sea food and would like to watch the sunset on Olu Deniz then you have to visit a restaurant at the top of the hill called the ''white house'' it is truly amazing!
So to finish off.... Turkey, Olu Deniz and the Majestic Hotel together make a great holiday. The best we have ever had so far! We’ll be back next year, ignoring some of the people on here!!

Just come back after a 5 night break in the Hotel Majestic, Olu Deniz. The resort is really nice and relaxed, but our visit to the Majestic was really disappointing.
We arrived at 4 am in the morning and were shown to a grotty room with a double bed! We booked a twin bed room as we are girl friends, the next day we asked to change rooms we were taken to another even grottier room, we didn’t accept we finally got another one which we had to accept as time was running out. The rooms are very tiny and the balconies are only for 2 small people ( you have to close the door to sit down).
The breakfast is a joke!! Stale bread hard boiled eggs, honey, cucumber, tomatoes very ripe, one lot of cereals covered in flies!!!!! Tea was from an urn and was very weak with no further T-bags to add to the strength. I would warn people that when it says it is basic but clean, in fact it is BASIC, BASIC. I would go back to the resort and it was my very first visit to Turkey and it could have put me off but having looked around many other hotels within the resort I found lots more that were a lot better, and we sampled a few breakfast, but nothing ranked along side of the majestic!!!!
I promised that I would write some feedback when I got home and I have. We met some nice people and everybody moaned about the hotel. Ann & Vanessa. Rotherham.

Arrived Saturday morning just after 8am, we had travelled all night and a bit tired but glad to be at the hotel at last. One man gave us our key and took us to our room 705, a good room we found out if you don’t want to mingle. Don’t know his name he never spoke to us. The room was nice enough and the towels were laid on the beds in a pretty pattern. [That was the last time we saw that].
Had a wonderful holiday Olu Deniz is a lovely place to be and the locals are nice [if you don’t mind their cheeky chappy cockney accents]. Went sky diving it was fantastic and I would recommend it to anyone the worst bit is the drive up the mountain 10/10 for that. The bars and restaurants are very good and I would recommend pepino restaurant for an entertaining night and the buffalo steakhouse had a very nice menu huge plate full oh yes and Elvis on Tuesdays and Fridays. Don’t buy the perfume it’s very very cheap and nasty. The beach is lovely, picked the right time of year not too busy we will come back to Olu Deniz but maybe not at the majestic.
We read this page after we booked the holiday and found out about the charge for the air con, it was all ready on in our room so we asked them to turn it off. We had to pay £20 for an extra nights stay because our flight pickup wasn’t until 3am Saturday morning, didn’t mind that at all but they never cleaned our room on the Friday [bit smelly if they don’t clean the buckets in the bathroom].
All in all only slept and showered in the hotel nothing made us want to stay in there although we did have a couple of drinks there one evening we were asked which hotel we were staying at!

Well this was my first holiday in some time so I was really looking forward to it. Sadly the only bad thing about our holiday was the hotel the staff were very uninterested in us as we were in turkey to enjoy what turkey had to offer not to sit around by the pool and bar area! We didn’t get a hello or a goodbye on any of the days and when we left and handed in our keys and air conditioning remote not a single exchange of words took place.
Having said this the nicest people with in the hotel were the cleaning staff and I have to say that the hotel was cleaned daily but the towels were holey and on one occasion we had no toilet roll so not feeling we were able speak to the staff we resorted to borrowing a roll from the outside toilet by the pool.
The resort was fantastic the Turkish people (excluding the hotel staff) were always friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
The excursions were fabulous I would recommend that anyone booking one should go to Ali G @ Metrolia. The Turkish baths were great and we made some great friends
With Regards to Gold Trail all I can say is Very Very Very poor there is simply too much to list so I won’t bother but my advice steer very clear.

What an absolute disgrace of a hotel! Upon arrival we were as good as ignored by the reception staff, one guy was very keen to carry our cases and then wouldn’t leave until he got payment.
Our room had damp all down one wall which made the room stink of mildew, the carpet was filthy and had an iron mark on it. There were bare electric cables hanging down above the sink in the bathroom, broken tiles on the floor of the shower, the toilet leaked constantly. You could see day light through the cracks in both doors which didn’t lock securely, our window had been painted shut.
The breakfast provided was virtually inedible, scraps of bread with the worst version of corn flakes you could possibly imagine all of which were attracting flies. We demanded to have our room changed on day one. "Its no problem" said the guy and took us along the corridor to an equally bad room. From then on the staff just stared at us as if we were dirt on their shoe.
Day two we pleaded with our rep to move us. Ria O Hara our rep was absolutely brilliant she got us a room in a hotel just up the road called the Montabello Hotel, this was fantastic, staff great, food brilliant, hotel overall a pleasure to stay in, we would definitely return there. The Majestic on the other hand needs condemning! I wouldn’t even rate it a one star!

Have just returned from a week's holiday at the Majestic in Olu Deniz and have to say it was wonderful.
Olu Deniz is quite a quiet resort compared with other places in Turkey I've been but there's still plenty of bars and restaurants. For a more lively night out, Hisaronu is 5 minutes away on a dolmus/taxi - that offers bright lights and lots more choice. However, I spent most of my nights in Olu Deniz as it had a more relaxed feel.
The Majestic Hotel was a lovely little hotel. The rooms were basic, but bedding and towels were cleaned every day and we had no problems with anything. The bathroom was very spacious too - which in my experience is unusual! The cleaner is a credit to the hotel - rooms were immaculate every day and the extra little touches (with the towels) was sweet. Like others have mentioned, we often had trouble finding little bits and bobs when the cleaner had been but it was not really a big deal. If anything, it made us a bit more tidy - maybe that was her intention!!!
The pool and bar area was spotless at all times ...as were the garden areas which were very well maintained.
All staff I came across were friendly and accommodating - particularly Tarik at the bar.
I have been to Turkey for the last three years and in my experience hotel entertainment isn't really there - apart from the standard BBQ/Turkish Night. The Majestic wasn't any different, but this didn't bother me at all - I personally prefer to go out and try different places anyway.
I only ate in the hotel at lunch time but food I did have was lovely - omelettes and toasties were delicious! I found prices in the hotel - for both food and drink - to be very reasonable. Breakfast was the usual - bread, cheese, eggs, cucumber, cornflakes etc - but this is standard for Turkey. We even got this when staying in a 5 star hotel.
All in all it's a nice little hotel. Don't go if you want luxury, but if you're wanting somewhere to lay your head, a nice pool (where there's no fighting for sun beds) and friendly staff, this is the place for you!

After arriving at the Majestic early evening we were welcomed by staff.
My friend and I were put in the new part of the hotel on the 3rd floor as were our other 2 friends and child.
Not very convenient for them really as having a pram to carry up and down the stairs every day in the heat isn't good as they have no lifts.
Rooms were nice, basic with a TV with just news channels in English. We had no shower door for the first few days, so every time we got out the shower is was like a pool in the bathroom!
There is air-con in the room, however you have to pay for it. £20 for the week. I've never known any other hotel to charge for this?
Only 2 members of staff spoke very limited English, the rest didn't.
NOW for the worst part.... the food. Again breakfast was basic, better then dinner though! You had cereals, bread, juice, tea and eggs. Fair enough! Dinner though, we only eat in the restaurant a couple of time.
Everthing came with rice, chips and salad. Oh not forgetting the 9 million bits of dry bread. Starters was a soup which actually was ok then main was just a slab of meat of fish with rice and chips.
Dessert was okish... pancakes were great but then it went from that to half a orange cut up into 5 pieces each on a plate. It would have been better to actually get a whole orange?
The pool was always clean and gardens well looked after with a kiddie bit. Even though staff couldn't speak English, they were always helpful.
To top the holiday off near the end one of the managers bought a little Labrador puppy which kept me entertained! Was very cute and well looked after! Hope this helps!
