9 / 10
May 2006, Not Specified

My rating of 9 out of 10 is purely for the resort, the hotel gets no credit at all!
Firstly the bad stuff. The hotel was clean, but it was noisy being woken up every morning by Debbie Reynolds singing "good morning, good morning" and such high volume you just couldn't ignore it. The entertainment was so annoying, the food was terrible, we were all inclusive but did not eat there, which worked out well in the end because now I can tell you about the best bits.
The best restaurant was the Buzz Bar, which does the best seafood, but everything else is very good too. If you go try the oven baked sea bass in salt and clay, it looks amazing and tastes like heaven, and the calamari is fab too. For meat the Sultan Ahmed is excellent, you must order the Lamb Tandir. They are both reasonably priced restaurants with the nicest staff. For cocktails go to Cloud 9.
We spent every night in here chatting to the fabulous staff and smoking the hubbly bubbly provided by the fabulous Master Ahmed, he speaks very little English but he is so friendly and generous, and pleased that tourists enjoy his shisha and help him keep some tradition in Olu Deniz. If you go you must go paragliding, what an experience! I would say go to Re-active if you are, they have the best gliders, I flew with the Turkish champion who is 7 in the world, even the locals say re-active are the best and safest.
We did eat in other places, and we did not have one bad meal or come across any rude people, everything about Olu Deniz is wonderful, but these things made my holiday very special.
Just don't bother visiting Hisaronu unless you like Chav fake goods, and don't stay in the Alize unless you are Chav.

Dec 2005, Mrs G J Coleman

It is a very happy hotel they are very friendly people they can not do enough for you the food is lovely if you ask for something they will get it for you the room are very clean. The room are clean every day and you get clean towels every day.
We have been on lots of the trips, if you want to go to the beach don't go to the blue lagoon as you have to pay to go in their. But if you are in this hotel you can go to another beach just next door and don't have pay for and is just as nice as the blue the lagoon and it is very safe for children.
There is lots of sunbeds near the beach the bus take from your hotel to the beach for free.

Sep 2005, *+*Missy J *+*

Firstly - Olu Deniz - is the best place to go in Turkey , its relaxing , friendly, welcoming , beautiful , and sunny :) Also has good night life in Olu Deniz & Hisaronu. Young people will enjoy Olu Deniz as well. I’m 17 and I've been 4 times, definitely going many more as well. Its a wicked place for people of all ages. I cant find a bad thing to say about Olu Deniz , its best place in the world :P:P
My fourth time there, recently been to Sun City hotel. Decided to go for a change and try Alize Hotel.
Staff - the staff at Alize hotel was all very helpful and welcoming especially Nuran on reception & her English was very good. Some of the Bar staff was a bit moody and it took a while to get served but other than that the staff was brilliant. Really good with children.
Activities- loads of activities to do through the day. water polo, darts, pool water aerobics etc.. also they played good music while you lie round the pool. I didn’t really stay in to watch the night shows at the hotel theatre but I was told they are good.
Food- Lots of choice , clean and tidy and friendly staff. brill :P
Rooms- clean and tidy , clean towels everyday when we went and the room was cleaned everyday. The cleaners are really nice and friendly as well.
Olu Deniz- Wicked place. Beach is really nice and a trip to the blue lagoon is a must it is so relaxing and calm. Also try to barter with shops and you can get them down on prices. Can always pick up a Bargain. If you like to go out to clubs and bars then i would say get a Dolmush ( 2.25 lira) up to Hisaronu. Its really lively up there and some clubs/ bars have foam parties etc...Its great fun !
Had a wicked time at Alize Hotel , Me and two of my friends are going back next year for two weeks :) in June July and we are definitely staying in the *+* Alize Hotel *+*
Also went on Safari- wicked , absolutely awesome if you don’t mind getting wet and dirty, Got it for £16 from Bloody Gorgeous ,(I'm sure if you go/been to Olu Deniz you will come across this crazy man )

Aug 2005, Miss J Hingston

Arrived at hotel in early hours of morning, rooms were excellent and clean. The hotel staff were lovely couldn’t do enough for you.
The nearby beach is rubbish, and the blue lagoon doesn’t match up to the photos!! Turkey is quite expensive which I was surprised as it is meant to be really cheap.
The hotel entertainment was excellent, especially for the kids and little ones. Not much of a range of alcohol considering it is all inclusive. And the food was diabolical, sorry but it was!! I lived off chip butties the whole time. There were flies on the food and it was gross. I couldn’t stomach it for the whole two weeks I was there, next time I’m going self catering and I wont be going back to turkey.
The airport prices are ridiculous for food, £8 for a sandwich and for 2 kids meals and 1 adult meal in a well known fast food burger place was £35!! totally ridiculous.
Love the hotel rooms and staff, Food sorry 0/10 and the area isn’t that nice!

Jun 2005, Ms A Cook

Hotel is well equipped, and very clean. Rooms are a bit on the small side- ok for a couple but not really suitable for families which is a shame as the rest of the hotel caters so well for the younger ones. There’s a daily kids club, mini disco and games throughout the day- not just for the kids!
The pool is large and very clean, the waterslide is a must( although it could only be on for a couple of hours a day when we were there thanks to the teenage boys who kept jumping off halfway down - my daughter was NOT impressed.)
The restaurant was pretty good, loads of choice,- just make sure you’re there when it’s first served as the food tends to go cold quickly, the nightly barbeque offered even more choice and there’s always something for fussy eaters! You could eat 24/7.
The staff were great, Adam in reception couldn’t do enough for us. Erol, Daisy, Jeffery & Buchet provided great entertainment- just be ready with a firm NO if you don't want to join in Water Gym at 10am!!!!!
The nightly shows are hilarious- they are all "bloody" fantastic. We had a wonderful time and are definitely going back next year! One word of caution though... the bar stops serving free drinks at midnight. A bit cheeky we thought, seeing as we’d paid for all inclusive & there was no mention of time restrictions in our brochure.

Jun 2005, Miss K Brown

13 June - 28 June
I have just come back from Turkey, Hotel Alize and I have to say that it was fantastic. We were in a group of nine, and we all feel the same about the holiday.
The hotel and staff were excellent. Very friendly. It is very English there and everyone talks to everyone. The hotel is very clean and the food is great. The entertainment was also excellent.
We went on the 12 Island Boat Trip and the Daylan Trip (Mud Bath), these trips were very good, and great value for money. We booked the trips with Thomas Cook, although we could have got them cheaper outside the hotel, your food and drinks were not included in the price, whereas with Thomas Cook it included everything you ate and drank throughout the day!
I highly recommend the Turkish Bath, again great prices, especially when you think how much you would pay for just a massage in England).
I really do not have a bad word to say about any of my holiday at the Hotel Alize. It really was absolutely fantastic and I will be going back there myself.
Excellent!!!!!!!

My partner and I visited Turkey for...
10 / 10
Aug 2004, Miss M Hayes

My partner and I visited Turkey for the first time in August and stayed in the Alize Hotel. We both loved the whole holiday.
The Hotel is lovely, the staff are brilliant and really made our stay at the hotel really enjoyable. We had such a laugh with all the staff at the hotel and they couldn’t do enough for you. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. They are very family friendly and make everyone feel very comfortable.
The main beach is only a few minutes away and the famous blue lagoon is around 5-10 minutes walk away. But the hotel does provide a free mini bus to the lagoon and other beaches around that area. Shops, restaurants and bars are about 2 minutes walk away. The good thing about where the hotel is situated is that its not too far from the shops etc. but you can still sleep at night without hearing all the noise from the bars which are down by the beach.
Rooms are very clean and have the best air con I’ve ever experienced.
We loved it and everyone else we spoke to there loved it too. We will definitely be returning soon!

An absolutely beautiful place with beautiful people. Will definitely be returning to Olu Deniz.
The hotel was basic but spotless, the staff were excellent and I would recommend this hotel for a relaxing holiday.
Would suggest that if you want to book an excursion do it yourself because the tour operators will charge up to 50% more.
The market at Fetiye is a must and a really "Turkish" experience.
Be prepared for VERY hot weather.

We holidayed at the Alize Hotel late...
9 / 10
May 2004, Ms K Clark

We holidayed at the Alize Hotel late May/early June. Although it wasn’t the hotel we had chosen (originally booked Asena Beach last October and was told it was overbooked on arrival) we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. We weren’t disappointed at all with the Alize Hotel, in fact the accommodation was clean and all the staff there made our holiday what it was. They were all so friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them.
This was our fourth visit to Olu Deniz in three years and we love it so much we have decided to buy property out there. The Turkish people really help to make your holiday. There are lots of places of interest to visit and hopefully next time we shall explore further afield.
Olu Deniz itself is a very relaxed and fairly quiet area even at the height of season. There are many excellent bars and restaurants in resort to choose from. One of our favourites was the Antique Restaurant (new for 2004). The food there was very good especially their meatballs. They also have a big screen TV that is good for the guys who wish to follow the football whilst on holiday. They also play good music too.
Another restaurant, which we have frequented during the past three years, is the Secret Garden, a lovely well-hidden place with friendly staff and excellent food. Olu Deniz is a haven for the discerning jewellery lover with lots of competition between the many shops. Don’t forget to shop around and haggle with them. You can always get things for at least £10-£20 cheaper than their first asking price.
We took a dolmus into Fethiye and walked around the marina, saw some lovely views and if you walk up the mountainside and look down you can see the old amphitheatre and views across the bay to Calis. The little winding streets with little bazaars are a must to visit especially the carpet shops and those selling linens etc.
At the end of our two-week stay we are never ready to come home, that in its self tells us we have enjoyed ourselves. It took us many years of persuasion to visit Turkey and now that we have we shall return again and again.

Aug 2003, Select J L Dunn

Loveley hotel, by Turkish standards. Stylish rooms, well equiped. Gardens beautiful and well maintained. Large swimming pool, no problems getting a sun bed (even in August). Staff very attentive and polite. Location ideal, just a stroll away from bars, shops and beach. This will be our third visit and we are confident it will be a marvellous holiday. Cannot find fault.
