Booked late 4t allocated on arrival, flight and transfers great, arrived at hotel and was given room 806.
After going up floor in lift then along corridor up flights of steps, followed by corridors steps more corridors opened the door to room which was musky, grubby to discover there was no kettle and fridge 4* hotels have these as standard in Cyprus. Rang and asked for these which were quickly brought to room fridge £3 per night kettle and coffee £3 and £1.50 for coffee a night. Explained that I only wanted kettle to make babies bottle milk and was told that I would still have to pay the £1.50 a night as they do not just let you have a kettle.
Agreed to this as I was tired and stressed with traveling with 2 small children. Went Straight downstairs to restaurant as kids were starving and about to die from hunger. What greeted us in the restaurant was nothing but mushy food. No children’s dishes. I gave them some pasta with soggy potatoes, went outside on the terrace (what also must be a cat rescue center) I didn’t eat food neither did kids. Began chatting to a lovely couple explained the kettle situation and the kind lady informed me that they had a kettle in her room which they didn’t use and it would be no problem for me to use that one. Went to reception and explained this kind ladies offer. Hotel would have none of it. Gave up went to bed for night to discover that air conditioning didn’t work at all.
Woke next day and went to see rep, explained full situation. She kindly got me moved to a room where the air conditioning worked this was a superior room and this would come at a cost....another £18 per night but I could have this at a discount for £12 per night. Agreed to this as kids were going on and on, and I was very stressed. Moved to superior room which was basically no different apart from an extra set of wall lights and a bigger wardrobe! Lovely view though. Finally got to pool where kiddie’s pool was to deep for a toddler! So thought I would go and sit in the garden area, found a lovely spot with a parasol and lounger only to discover that I very near cliff edge with a drop into sea, great when you have a 9year old and 16 month old kiddies running about.
Anyway to cut a long story short I paid for flights to come home after 3days. Which the rep found strange as she hadn’t had any other complaints! Whilst waiting for taxi to take me to airport I got chatting to a couple explained my situation, only to discover there was over ten people making complaints about the hotel.
If you are planning a trip to this hotel don’t it’s dirty, food is awful, staff are unhelpful, and entertainment is no show. And even in the superior rooms the air conditioning doesn’t work properly! I had the worst days of my life there.

We had a last minute booking for price we could not complain, however Pathos was not for us. We had a superior room at the top of the complex which was lovely and very clean and this part of the complex had a smaller pool, which was quiet and peaceful area. The larger pool area was noisy and brash.
Food, breakfast could not complain, great choice, however evening meals where poor they often ran out of food, meat dishes where of very poor quality and over cooked. Eating out we found the quality poor as well. One big downside with the hotel was the cats they where everywhere especially at meal times and so off putting.
The bar area was nice and relaxing as well, although they closed the beach bar early in the evening which was a pity as the views where great.

Well-done Thomson. My partner and I went on a Thomson Price breaker, a choice of being located in 1 of 4 hotels on arrival. We ended up here! The Flight was excellent both ways. Easy allocation on arrival, helpful staff.
The hotel was ALWAYS beautifully clean, the staff always to hand. The sheets and towels changed every other day. Entertainment was low key but good. Food was excellent with lots of choice. Everywhere had been recently painted, so the hotel looked impressive. There was a porter who met you and help locate your room. The staff in the bar would do you snacks up until midnight! The reception girls were more than helpful with whatever you asked them. The Thomson rep was ALWAYS to hand. The trips were fun! The car we hired was excellent, arrived on time at the hotel, and they collected it from the hotel as well.
This hotel has wonderful well kept gardens, a lovely pool area, and a heated indoor pool with a small gym if you like that sort of thing. The rooms had air conditioning and heating, totally controlled by you. Lovely spacious wardrobes, and well appointed bathroom. Evidently the junior suites are lovely - perhaps next time!
I would definitely go back to this hotel, we had a lovely relaxing holiday!
2 small points -1. There are no tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms - that would have been nice - but there was always a jug of fresh water! 2. Due to the location, which was lovely, you would need a car, especially if you are less mobile!
Other than that - you will have a lovely relaxing holiday - with staff that will bend over backwards for you!

Terrific views, but sadly sub-standard service & grossly over-priced by Thomson.
Most aspects of the hotel were reminiscent of 1970s tourism, but the worst element had to be the food, (followed closely by management attitudes).
Two star seems appropriate, although last year it was rated as 3 in most brochures. Thomson prices, however, bordered on 4 star!! What on earth were they thinking!
Avoid - you can get far better value for your money in almost any other hotel.

We spent another fantastic holiday at the Cynthiana Beach Hotel. What to say more about this hotel... fantastic, fantastic, fantastic.
The views of the sea are amazing; the hotel is so peaceful and has many facilities, spacious pools, poolside bars.
And the staff... lovely, friendly, professional and extremely helpful as always (look for Irene).
The rooms are always clean and the food is always great. We keep returning to this lovely hotel year by year.
We would recommend this wonderful hotel for a memorable holiday.
