I was definitely not impressed with this so-called 4 star hotel on the banks of the Nile. The noise from the Nile and other hotels guests was unbearable- be prepared to be woken up at night several times. There was no segregation of smoking and non-smoking areas so you can be eating whilst someone smokes right next to you. Additionally and unexpected hotel tax is added on to the hotel bill on departure which was not particularly helpful. The staff were nice but the constant expectation to tip did get very tiring. The only redeeming feature was the buffet style breakfast- superb!
