excellent hotel in a great setting especially enjoyed being able to snorkle of the hotel jetty
staff polite and helpful even though we were there during
the recent problems in Egypt

The Calimera is a lovely hotel situated on the beach. The hotel is kept very clean and staff work round the clock to make sure that everything is perfect. The bedding and towels in the room are changed daily and large beach towels are available clean every day also, so don't bother to pack any. Ladies: There are proper hairdryers in the rooms (if not, ring reception and they bring one straight away) and bath foam, shampoo and liquid soap dispensers both by the sink and the bath. I have just come home from a wonderful relaxing week in this hotel. It was spotlessly clean, Bed sheets and towels changed daily, rooms may be not up to the 5* rating but clean comfortable and plenty of storage space and coat hangers.good air conditioning and plenty of hot water for showers, all the staff very freindly and helpful, food excellent with plenty of choices. I will be returning later in the year and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel who wants a relaxing holiday more

The hotel reception is immaculate and there are plenty of places to sit inside and out. The bar in the lobby was excellent and the service was excellent as well. Downstairs again there were plenty of places to sit inside and out. The sunset bar again had seating inside and out and you could watch the entertainment from here as well. Having just returned from this Hotel we found the Staff really friendly and the Hotel itself was immaculate, the only downside we had was we found the food warm and not hot as we would have liked, we did however find that the snack meals in the Beach Bar were hotter than those in the Hotel complex. The Pool areas are well laid out and you are never too close to someone else the same applies to the beach area. Me & my friend (both 24 yrs old) just returned from this hotel after staying for a week from 28th Jan to 4th Feb. Overall, we had a fantastic time, especially for the give-away price we got it for! It might not be 5 star but definately a four. If your looking for ultra luxury and are used to very high standards it might not be for you. For us though it was excellent. This hotel is massive, it would take about 20 minutes or more to walk around it all! There are about 4/5 bars and one main buffet restaurant then a beach and pool bar... more

Well what can i say? The hotel on first impression was clean, tiday, exsquisite and the staff were friendly and courteous on arrival. This impression I am pleased to say was the lasting impression. FOOD = was lovely to start with but i have to say i did get a bit bored after the same sort of food for 3 days, breakfasts were the best with perfectly done eggs and soldiers.Yummy!!! lunches are definatley best at the beach bar and it is nice to have the waiter service for a change from buffet. Have just returned from a weeks holiday with my 19 year old daughter. We stayed at the calimera and were given an absolutly huge room overlooking the gardens. The room was cleaned everyday, towels and sheets changed and the mini bar stocked up. The hotel has lots to do with all nationalities staying there. There are at least 4 bars (the complex is huge there may be more which we did not find)...and 3 restaurants, 3 swimming pools (one heated)...tennis courts, mini golf, checkers etc, large outdoor play area for the kids and a... more

I have just come back from a week at this hotel and all I can say is FANTASTIC. The accomodation was brilliant we have 2 small children and were given a suite with a partial pool/sea view.The cleaner was brilliant and came every day and stocked up the mimi bar with soft drinks and bottled water. The beach bar that served great food was an added bonus as you can just chill on the beach all day.
