Green Abacus Hotel

we went as a party of 7 adults to litera marmaris relax,which had changed its name from abacus green hotel prior to us going,on arrival did not look too bad,pool was smaller than it looked in brochure,but most do,tried dinner on first evenin there,chicken,salad and other dishes that didn,t look too appetising,thought give it a go,next day menu, wait for it chicken again,this went on 6 days out of 7,twice a day,dinner an evenin meal,there was no variety at all,chicken or salad, one day fish which looked disgusting,we ended up eatin out,which was a bit much having gone all inclusive,it was a case of look at menu then go elsewhere,which majority of people in hotel did,the rooms were kept very clean,the only plus point realy,at the bar you were only allowed to get 1 drink,which meant everybody had to go for their own,bar staff did not know how to smile,very off putting,we were led to believe it was a lively hotel,but on 2 occassions were asked to be quiet or leave,by the manager,now i,ve been to turkey 5 times and it is first time when you were not allowed to enjoy yourselves after 12,don,t mean rowdy just laughing an joking,would not rate it 4star,more 1star,not go there again or reccomend it to anyone wantin to enjoy themselves,entertainment,none,0

thank you for your postivie comment i am going to turkey on saturday and was getting worried by all the bad reviews and some where bad after reading your review it has got the hotel sounding nice and relaxing. what is the night life like?? . your reveiw has now got me looking forwards to my holiday again and as its my birthday whilst im there it will be even better THANK YOU! wil let you know how i find it when i get back

Me and my husband wanted to get away for a week to get away from the british weather so i went down to the local travel agents and booked a all inclusive holiday to turkey for 7 nights it cost us £344.00 each flying from doncaster. Flight was ok. When stopping at the service station half way to marmaris i must state it is really expensive it cost us nearly £17.00 pound for 2 drinks and 2 sandwiches so i would do some packing up at home as you dont get a meal now on the flight it costs extra. The goldtrail rep gives you some information about the hotel it states at the top that you pay 30 lira as a depoist when you get to the hotel but just ignore it you dont have to pay. When we was getting off the coach the scottish was shouting at us saying it was the holiday from hell obviously the scottish cant handle the drink and was so sloshed day in day out. We checked in leaving a few details with the receptionist and was shown to our room. Rooms was very clean but i kept asking the maid for toilet roll and clean towels every other day. tip dont tidy up room etc thats were i slipped up let the maids do it and they will leave pretty patterns on your beds with your towels apart from that they was clean. air conditioning is £25.00 a week £5.00 a day tip lift flap up on air con they is a power button press on the right use something like a cotton bud to put on. Food is really good fresh everyday salads was beautiful and fresh. Eggs in a morning was quite hard to crack open but they was plenty more to choose from. They did fresh omelettes with tomatoes. Kebabs was lovely. Some people moaned from morning till night but what do they expect for what they pay. I didnt moan once me and my husband loved the food. The bar well the beer was ok in afternnoon but my night it was quite flat, spirits was good serving vodka, gin,brandy, rakee soft drinks coke orange and fresh orange and mango. drinks was from 10.00am till 23.00pm.when it reaches 10.00pm though only one person could go up for a drink each they wont serve you with two so that was a pain really. The drinks was pretty cheap though after 23.00 fish bowels and cocktails was buy one get one free for 9 lira. Carlsberg was expensive though as it was imported. The pool was lovely and clean but was deep they is a little pool for small children but not very big. The sun loungers are comfty but you need to be up early to put your towels on to get one from 8.00am they are nearly all gone. The entertiner robbie is a pain really watch out young blonde girls hes a bit of a charmer snake i saw him lurking about a blonde a single mum with 2 young children she was daft enough to go with him leaving her 2 young children in the appartment at night i couldnt believe it! Robbie gets you playing volley ball in the afternoon be warnedwhen you are trying to sunbathe and reading a book put it down you get soaking, the floor gets really wet and slippery i saw a few people fall. By night robbie will come round trying you to sell bingo 10 lira a ticket i tell you he his no mecca caller he hasnt a clue! Then it will play his music it is terrible the sound from the speaker is crap he needs a new sound system so if anybody as got a spare one please take it to him he will appreiate it! It is quite noisy at night if staying at the front but we stayed around the back. The camera man what a pain he was he will annoy you from morning till night he will have the young girls posing in different positions in the small swimming pool, i was quite concerned cause if you dont buy these photograhs where do they go? Just tell him no we dont want any taking he will get the hint. The tattoo shop is in the hotel we met a couple from chester she wanted a tatoo on the sunday as we was leaving they asked her for a deposit for 40 lira, as she was concerned if it went wrong. She never got the full deposit back she got 20 lira back so that was a con. Flight back was a torture leaving the hotel at 01.40 am to get to dalaman airport so tiring so try and get as much rest that day. It was very hot reaching upto 50 degrees every other day i think its far to hot for little toddlers that time of year.All in all it was a very nice for what you pay. What you pay is what you get...!!!!

We have just returned from our ist trip to Turkey. The hotel we were told by travel agents was a 4 star, absolutely not only 3 suns which is classed as 2 star, very basic but our holiday was a good buy for 2 rooms 3 adults and 2 children. Be warned very very hot in july about 42 degrees, too hot to do very much, water park in the mountains was brilliant but prices for food and drink inside very expensive. The hotel was okay but the reps spent that much time filling in complaint forms we couldnt ask her about car hire and market trips we just asked reception, most of the staff were okay, floor beside pool very slippery, chicken nearly every night on menu but cakes were quite nice, quite good value for us as I have 2 teenage boys who are always wanting soft drinks and something to eat, bit of a confusion with this soft all inclusive, on our last day we were going to pay for a room to be held because of our late check in £15 but strictly this was our seventh day of our weeks holiday so reception said no charge. I wouldnt go back to turkey, get hassled too much, food and drinks outside the hotel were pretty expensive and would definately not travel with goldtrail again they are getting a very bad name with all the holidaymakers who were there at the same time as us.

good holiday for middle aged adult quiet area still shops and bars 2 min walk from hotel bottom of the road just 5 min walk a blue and white bus no2 will take you to the beach 15 min 40 min walk when you go to marmarus go to the talk of the town a exalant nite out .

What can i say, this hotel was disgusting!! I went with my partner and we couldnt wait to go home. The food was disgusting so we ate out most days, meaning out holiday was too expensive. We werent informed that this hotel was a soft all inclusive resort so we were shocked when we were asked to pay for drinks after 11pm!! Bar street was really expensive but we had a good time as we met up with 3 other couples who were great. If it wasnt for them we would have gone home. My partner was cornered and nearly robbed in the market in Icmeler by 5 turkish men! Ive been to Gumbet in Turkey and loved it but I will never be back in Turkey. As for the Green Abacus Hotel dont book it!! Theres a tiny bar with 1 barman so in the evening makes it hard to get a drink. It was really noisy with doors slamming and to get a sunbed you have to set your alarm for 6am to put your towels out for a sunbed! Pool area was also really slippy and dangerous. Overall, we had an awful week away, thanks for nothing guys!!!! We wasted £1000 spending money in Marmaris, could have got another break for that.

Stayed in this hotel for a week. Thank God !!! What a dump. The food is terrible (Oasis restaurant around the corner saved our lives ! Brilliant). The pool area is way to small, not enough sunbeds.
The rooms are very basic but clean. Don't pay for the air con, when you get in your room lift the lid and switch on!! Staff are friendly.
Would never go back to this hotel ever again. Be Warned !!!!!

What a dump, if you take children here beware people fighting every night, bar staff having to carry people to there rooms nightly. Our child was hit in a fight she is only two!!
Then we had to pay to be moved over the road and was still expected to eat and drink here. Food is complete rubbish; always cold, nobody eats here it’s the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.

Just back from this hotel and we had a great time. When it's cloudy you don't always get warm water and the food is a bit repetitive but what do you expect for such a cheap holiday.
If you are not too fussy then you will be fine and the cream cake every night makes up for anything. If you really didn't like the food there was plenty of pubs and restaurants around serving food really cheap.
Hotel was lovely and clean; staff were extremely friendly and entertained my 16 month old regularly. There are cats everywhere so if you don't like them then it may not be the hotel for you.
We had a great time and all those people who were there the same week as us made it a very entertaining holiday. The hotel is so relaxing and I think we spoke to everyone staying there by the time we left.
Lovely holiday and it's in a nice location, a 45 min walk to Marmaris or a 10 min bus ride for 1 lira.
I would recommend this hotel to people who are looking for a holiday to chill and are not too fussy. If you pay for a 3 star hotel, you can't expect a 5 star. Perfectly good holiday for the price we paid.

Well, where can we start, for £240 each you can’t go wrong, food is pretty crap, hotel staff are friendly, guy called Elvis behind the bar is a complete tool though.
Max the photo man is quality, a really good laugh!
Rooms are basic, there were 8 of us so we really didn’t care what we stayed in when we got back late in the night.
In regards to the all inclusive, its true that it’s one per person after 1.30, which means everyone had to go up to get a drink - nightmare when 8 of you! Before that it’s ok, you can get as many as you want and just put it on a tray. We did try and blag more drinks after 11pm but they wouldn’t budge
Swimming pool is cleaned; this is normally done about 3am in the morning if I can remember correctly.
Bar street in town is dead this time of year, best to go to the strip; loads of bars and restaurants, best one to go to is somewhere called Natalies steak bar, 32oz T-Bone steak for about £13!!! Brilliant!
In regards to the noise, its very loud, seems to be a lot of northerners - no offence and seems to attract everyone with tattoos! Only one person in our group had a tattoo and we looked left out!
Apart from that, fantastic! Rep was nice - looking and in service.... ;-)
