spent a week at the Kervansary from 21st to 30th september. I have never seen such crap food in any hotel i have stayed in before. It was virtually same stuff all the time and i am not a fussy eater. If it was edible, it was usually cold. I complained to restuarant manage... more

We booked this very late based on generally good reviews and lack of choice of 4* hotels in area available. Arrived at 0400 very tired and shown to 2 bedroom apartment opposite hotel. initial impression was a bit grubby, mould on wall in bed 1, kitchen appliances very old.... more

I would firstly like to say that ALL of the bad reviews are absolute rubbish!! the entertainment team were immense, they work non stop to keep us going round the pool and on a night time...they even take you clubbing after that. Chucky, Coco and Leo (the three main ones)... more

3 star hotel, food was good ,infact it was really good nice choice if your a fussy eater you'll proberly twist but theres lots to choose from .the entertainment crew are what makes this hotel coco, chucky,duffy and even kids club chick chick . the hotel also has its own nurse

Too many problems and complaints about Karvansaray, Marmaris!. Just a few (not all): Have to collect toilet rolls from reception as the rooms are rarely cleaned. Floors are never cleaned. Bedside table lamp with live wires hanging out of it. Wall sockets showing wires. This... more

what a fab time we had from hades
myself my husband and four children stayed at this hotel and we had a great time. hotel was really clean and tidy (the staff never stopped)all u can eat and drink (which saved us a fortune having 4 kids) the kids loved the entertainment , kids club , mini golf, water polo, darts ,basket ball and loads more. the staff were really good with the children. my only complaints were the food there was loads of it ,just variety got a bit tedious although it was nice enough.and the swimming pool was one depth and i could just stand up in it, which meant my 10 and 6 yr olds had no chance but they still enjoyed all the same. oh and another thing us brits were out numbered by loads of russians but that is not the hotels fault

We're just back from a week at the Kervansaray and just thought I'd leave a review to say what a good time we had! I was a bit worried about going once I had read all the other reviews but luckily we had a nice surprise. We stayed in the last week of April which is just before the start of the season, so to be fair the hotel wasn't at full capacity (and I don't think I would have liked to stay there if it had been, I can't see that the bar and restaurant are large enough to support a hotel that big, plus it must be baking hot in high season) but we had an absolutely fantastic time. We were very lucky as the weather was gorgeous (27 degrees most days) and we really couldn't fault the hotel, it was absolutely spotless and we loved the fact that it was away from the main centre of the resort as I think it would be a bit much to stay right in the centre. The entertainment team were fantastic, they really made our holiday as they made us feel so welcome, I travelled with my mum so it was great that they had 'bar street' nights where they would take anyone into town that wanted to go, this was helped by the brilliant crowd that were staying there - all you scousers know who I mean! It looks to me as though the hotel has learnt from the bad reviews posted last year as the water slide is now supervised and the food must have improved as we thought it was fine, there was a good choice on offer but you can't please everyone I suppose! I wouldn't recommend going in peak season but if you're looking for a good hotel to relax and have a laugh around the pool in during the day, but not too far from the centre so you can still go out at night then I'd definitely recommend this hotel. We're hoping to go back at the end of September!

Overall i wont lie, kervansaray was not a 4 star hotel. The food was very repeated and quite bland to be honest, no flavour. The drinks boring and very few selection. Activites both during day and at night disappointing, but they did try!! Staff very friendly and rooms very clean! Altho nuthing to do part from 2 water slides, the centre ov marmaris was very enjoyable and nice place! however wouldnt go bak to the kervansaray again!

jUST returned fron a week at this hotel. First time in Turkey and loved the country and the people.The rooms were great very large and extremly clean clean towels each day .However the food and drink was the worst Ive come across at meal times there was little choice we were only there for a week yet saw the same dish 3 times ! it was usually just luke warm and never a clean table to sit at. To get drinks with your meal you had to trail to the bar outside the resturant.The pool side snacks were discusting burger (or supposed to be ) and cold chips and the staff were so slow serving it, there was no where for it to be kept warm and usually no plates. Drinks were served in plastic kids type beakers which was awful.The so called bar area was like a airport lounge and not very relaxing, staff were friendly enough but the entertainment was terrible we only got a taste of it one night and decided to spend money in marmaris instead, not good if your looking for lots to entertain young kids ! The sauna and gym in the brochure stated it was for over 16 yrs only yet kids were allowed to treat it like a play area in and out all the time this spoilt it for those who wanted to relax and have some peace.On the whole the food side lets this place down big time , dont be put off by the position of the hotel as there is a free bus and a few shops nearby and cheap taxis if needed.I will return to this resort but not to this hotel it was poor value for money this reflected in the cheapness of the food which was served.

Myself and a friend arrived home yesterday and im so glad im home! Turkey is beautiful no problems there i have been to Marmaris 19 times never a problem but this hotel what a joke.....Dont get me wrong its clean and quite nice but the food was absoloultly discusting cold stale and all german and turkish cusine yuck! the drinks were just as bad flat fizzy drinks no juices to go with the 2 spirits which are included raki and vodka....or you can have beer or wine tea or coffee!!!! Id never go back to that hotel if you paid me! Be warned its not good

We stayed at the kervansaray for two weeks, begining on the first and ending on the 14th. The staff were excellant. I loved Eren who worked at the bar. He was such a nice person and he was so friendly and cute. The food was ok but not great. They did not change the table cloth when we asked. The swimming pool was great but really cold. The slides were so fun. There was not anything to do during the day at the hotel. The hotel was really clean. The maid service was brilliant and i could not fault it! The entertainment was great the first week but then the new entertainers came. this is just my opinion and people may have different views. we would not come back to this part of Turkey again.

Just got back from 2 weeks at the kavansaray hotel Marmaris. The Hotel was clean and the rooms spotless, probably the best maid i have seen in a hotel. The pool area was fantastic too, maybe just needed some supervision around the slides (there is no shallow end). The entertainment team were replaced after the first week, after entertaining nobody apart from each other. The guys that replaced them were first class. Tarkan you are a star. Great evening entertainment for kids and adults, various things going on during the day. Sadly this hotel was let down by some of the worst food i have ever had! It was cold, bland and the same stuff over and over. What made it worse was the quality of food available around the resort at very cheap prices. Not one member of the staff seemed to take any pride in what they were serving, apart from the pancake chef in the morning. Then there was the bar! Beer was served in plastic cups, and just thrown done in front of you. The spirits were cheap and not measured into the plastic cups, often your vodka and coke was 50/50 and flat. Then there was the special cocktail, i.e the only cocktail! Terrible! The bar also served children with teenagers sitting at the bar drinking, there should have been different coloured wrist bands for kids and adults. I wont be booking up for next year!!!!!!!!!!!

Just back from a fortnight at the Kervansaray Hotel. The hotel was spacious and clean with good size rooms. There was plenty of activities to do throughout the day (if you have the energy!) and entertainment at night which was not fantastic but then I was on holiday with my partner and we did not really stay in the hotel at night we took a walk (about 25 minutes) into Marmaris. There is a great atmosphere in Marmaris with lots of bars and clubs, and a taxi home was cheap enough to save from the walk back! The food in the hotel was the one thing that let the hotel down, it was very repetitive but it is cheap to eat out so we tended to do that. Overall...a great holiday!

dont go to the kervansary unless you like cold uninviting food,your beer served in plastic beakers with big frothy tops, repetetive entertainment including the birdie song and agadoo, bingo played in 4 different languages, out of the way location with a good 25 min walk to the town centre. this was not my idea of an enjoyable hoilday but other people seem to like it.

Nice Hotel, clean rooms but resturant food desgusting drinks terrible did not clean table cloths had no cutterly had to get it yourself and drinks food stopped at 9:30pm then come back on at 12:00pm and all it was, was a bowl of soup. Round the pool area was no lifeguards as there was two slides, floor area was not washed down so caused loads of wasps my little boy got stung. Snack bar food was put out half an hour before you could eat it so it was cold. At nightime they would run out of glasses for drinks,they would serve germans and dutch before english. You had to get up at 7:00am every morning for a sundbed because germans already had towels on. On the last day my husband dived in the pool and i swam past and caught my leg on a upside down table which my husband could have hurt himself on. Nightime entertainment for kids not very good so therefore i wouldn't recommend this hotel.
