Were the people above on drugs when they stayed at this hotel? Me and my boyfriend stayed there for 2 weeks in 2003 and it was without a doubt the worst hotel we have ever had the misfortune to occupy.
The "double" room which we booked looked like something from the 60's and there wasn't enough room to swing a cat. The decor was so depressing we only spent time in there to get dressed or to sleep.
A door in the wall of the bathroom which we initially thought to be a cabinet, once opened turned out to lead straight into a shaft running from the top to the bottom of the hotel. As such you could hear everything from first thing in the morning until last thing at night, including the bar.
We had to move rooms TWICE during our stay due to the marble bathroom units collapsing, the first of which was in a bathroom so miniscule if someone had been in there at the time a broken foot would have finished off the Marina Pax experience fabulously.
What pissed us off possibly more than anything was the fact that we had paid for all inclusive which we used once during our whole stay, as we wanted to spend as little time as possible in that hellhole. If given the choice, I would rather go and spend my holidays in Iraq.
Also can I advise people not to book holiday with Thomas Cook. We were supposed to be in Palma Nova, NOT Magaluff. Our travel agent assured us she had stayed in the Marina Pax herself so she knew the location of the hotel which was obviously not true.

My husband and I went to the Pax and had the best time ever. It is all there for you. Staff brilliant, food brilliant, entertainment great. We had such a good time all the family are coming with us this slept (ages from 70 to 23) roll on September. The beach is a lovely stroll away, which we did every morning, the town was a short walk as well for all the bargains. The hotel was handy for buses going to markets etc. All in all a great place to be

We have just got back from staying at this hotel, 4 of us went 2 adults and 2 teenagers.
The food was excellent always good choice and hot. The rooms were good, the hotel was clean and staff polite at all times. The pools were clean and always had a life guard on in case of accidents.
Hotel entertainment was good but kids got bit bored as not much for teenagers to do as it catered for mainly younger kids, probably in high season this may change. Night time entertainment started late and should of started early but then again probably due to low season, Ben was brilliant with all his work he did entertaining the guests, bar staff were efficient and prompt.
All in all excellent holiday at such good prices, although can book direct for bit cheaper if not going with tour operator.

Lovely location. Not to noisy - was about a 5 minute walk to the main town centre of Magalluf.
Main meals were fine but nothing to write home about, snacks were not cooked properly though.
Pool area was lovely and clean. very safe for children.
Would not recommend this hotel if you have walking difficulties as very up and down hill and steps to get to the beach.
Would definitely go back there though as a short break.

The hotel Marina Pax has got to be the best holiday I’ve ever been on !!!! There is something for everyone . The food is absolutely fab with a wide variety with even special kid’s corner. Meals are from 8-10(breakfast) 1-3 (lunch and 6:30-9 (dinner) snacks are on in between and drinks are served from 10am to 12 am . The staff are all very welcoming and helpful not forgetting very handsome (for the ladies). There is live entertainment on every night from Brazil carnival to Tina turner and Robbie Williams tributes. It is located in a very quiet area of magalluf but only minutes away from all the night life. The beach is honestly 2 minutes away and local shops are just round the corner. Overall it is a great experience and a very happy holiday!

If anyone is thinking of going to the Pax, don’t think, GO, it was the best hotel we’ve been to and it made a mockery of the 3* rating.
We have never seen such cheerful and friendly staff. The food was excellent, so much choice, something for everyone, the hotel was very clean, the bar staff were brilliant, different entertainment every night including outside acts.
You can use the facilities at the Marina Barracuda next door but we found the Pax better, you have two pools, both good.
It’s a 10 minute walk to the centre of Magaluf and the beach 1 minute across the road.
Overall the hotel could not be faulted and wouldn’t be out of place with a 4*+ rating. We heard they were going to market the hotel to the Italians next year, hope not, we would love to go again, you can still book direct, but feel it may not be the same without the British influence.

We stayed at the Marina Pax in September 2004, booked it as a late booking (only 4 days before leaving) and were not sure what to expect. It is situated at the quiet end of Magalluf but within easy walking distance (less than 10 minutes) from the main bars and nightclubs, and only a two-minute walk to the beach. All aspects of the hotel are very satisfactory. The food was very good, a good choice from the main buffet area and a specialised area where they had cut meat off the bone in front of you or cooked paella or Chinese food in a pan so you knew that all food was very fresh. We had a fish night one night were they served smoked salmon, large prawns, mussels etc., we never went hungry (food definitely 4 star quality).
We had a room that slept 4 even though there were only two of us and it was always kept clean, we had a kettle in the room and although there was not a fridge in the room, there was always milk available from the bars so you were able to make tea in the room whenever you wanted to.
Pool areas very safe and always lifeguards on duty.
Staff were very friendly and always available if you had a question.
One of the best Mediterranean holidays that we have ever had (especially as the hotel is rated a 3 star, we certainly thought that it served to be a 4 star).

Having just returned from a week at the Marina Pax I feel I have to congratulate the staff & Management on a very well run Hotel. I went with the expectation of having to eat out every night how wrong was I the value for money that this hotel offers is incredible. My suggestion would be to book as we did direct with the hotel & arrange your own flight.
The staff are very welcoming & friendly & the standards of cleanliness are excellent.
The food in particular was excellent buffet style but in addition, there was usually a roast most nights.
If your looking for value for money then this is the hotel for you. Situated some 10 mins walk from Magaluf this is a friendly family orientated Hotel.
Well done to the staff & Management a lot of Hotels could learn from your example.
Only one downside the Yorkshire puddings were rock hard !!

I stayed at the Marina Pax in June of this year with a few of the boys. We found that everything about the hotel, staff and location were fantastic. The Pax was in staggering distance of the main strip after a heavy night on the cocktails and free jugs.
The hotel was very clean and tidy and the staff were very friendly. The night entertainment was excellent, from karaoke and cabaret to genius parrots and tribute bands. Max was a natural entertainer and always happy with what ever he was doing. I would recommend the Pax to anyone from singles, couples, families and the old folks. I will definitely be returning in the not to distant future.

Absolutely AMAZING. Should be a 4 Star hotel. The food was delicious and with incredible variety, it was like dining in a 5 star restaurant every night.
The staff were friendly and very helpful, the entertainment of an evening was fantastic, the poolside food outlet was open all day and the bar was great. The kids had unlimited ice lollies and the adults unlimited drinks and food.
The pools were clean and big and always had a lifeguard present and the hotel as a whole was spotless. It was mainly family oriented and there were hardly any noisy 18-24 even though I am 22 myself. Those that were there were quiet.
The kids had entertainers all day which were fantastic and there was a kids club also if you wanted time to yourself. The beach was a minute from the hotel and the centre about 5 mins which was fun.
I will definitely be going back to the Marina Pax, my son had the trip of a lifetime.

Marina Pax brilliant hotel, its lively lots for the kids to do there’s kid’s entertainment throughout the day and night.
The staff are helpful and polite, the food is fantastic there is a wide selection, the pools are safe and clean with life guards on duty at all times, it’s about a 5 minute walk to town and beach. We mostly stayed in the hotel as there is everything there and it’s for free if you go all inclusive.
This is my second time to the Marina Pax and it was worth every penny and I would certainly go again.
