At the time of our visit the whole area is one large building site so I would recommend upgrading to a sea view room for more peace and quiet. There is a shuttle bus from the hotel to various shopping malls and to the souks in Deira, but it doesn't run all that frequently and you may have to get a taxi back, but this is not expensive.
Very friendly staff. Excellent accommodation and facilities. Good range of restaurants catering for many tastes. The Bazaar features a different buffet each night and is charged according to the number of courses you eat. Alcohol is not served during religious festivals. This is a very good value hotel.

We arrived in Dubai for a winter break in February this year. We flew Air France from Aberdeen to Paris, Paris to Dubai. Travelling with young children was an absolute breeze with Air France. They are very children friendly and we shown to the front of many a check in queue and security queue as we had children. The meals on the flight for the children were second to none my son was in his element.
We arrived at midnight and again Dubai immigration was a breeze as again we were put to the business class security route because of the children.
Transfer to the hotel was included in the price we paid. A private car transfer to the hotel. We were greeted with a smile and a cold drink for us all. Check was a breeze and we were shown to our 'Club Sea View Room'. It was massive with two balconies one to the side and one to the front. The only issue we had was that the single bed we had requested was not in it. One quick call to reception and in a matter of minutes the bed appeared.
My wife and I had a massive bed, my daughter a travel cot, my son a single bed and there was still room for an 8 seater table and chairs, kitchen area (ideal for preparing my daughters milk) and a large bathroom.
As we had a club room we had access to the club bar on the top floor a 2 hours of complimentary alcoholic beverages in the evening prior or post dinner!!!
Dining was excellent and half board was perfect with the kids. The meals for them were free.
The seafood in Singapura was fresh and tasty, some of the items you had to pay a supplement for but this was not a massive charge. In Singapura we ordered my son chicken fried rice and to tell you the truth even I would have struggled to eat it all.
Oregano was a Mediterranean place with a great choice of food that was delicious. The choice of restaurants was excellent the food was first class.
The Coco Cabana was great for a lunch also although we did not try the evening meal there.
The poolside area was great and the swim up bar was great even my son (he was 3) wanted to swim up to the bar for a juice!! There was a small menu to order sandwiches and the like for lunch which was ideal given the heat.
We had such a great time we are booked to go again in November!

We arrived at 8.30 am at the Oasis Beach Hotel our luggage was taken from the car by the bell hops to a luggage holding area, and we where advised to go to the reception where we was given cold orange juice and cold towels by the hotel staff.
Then came the bad news the check out time at the Oasis is 2.00 pm and all the rooms where full and we where told that we might not get our room until then but where advised to check back at 11.30 am. When we checked back at 11.30 we where told that they would have a room ready in 15 minutes.
Our superior sea view room was quite large and very well furnished with a King Size bed and a large balcony with a table and chair's overlooking the sea.
The air conditioning in the room was absolutely fantastic, which was great as the temperature outside was 118 degrees Fahrenheit.
The hotel has 4 bars and 4 restaurants, the food is very good with a great choice of food, the only downside was that the main bar didn’t open until 4.30 pm. The hotel also has it's own very large private gardens and beach. The hotel is very clean and the staff are very courteous and all speak very good English.
Now for the negative's this hotel is not suitable for the disabled or anyone with walking difficulties.
There are two disabled ramps at the hotel entrance which are not in use and are always locked and so you have to walk up the steps to enter the hotel.
There is a separate lift which takes you down to the beach and garden area, the only problem is that it only takes you part way down and yes you've guessed it more steps!(About 10-20).
In the gardens there is nowhere to sit no chairs or forms or tables only rows upon rows of sun beds! It's the same on the beach nowhere to sit just rows and rows of sun beds.
Outside of the hotel there are no proper roads or footpaths as these are just being built if you can image taking a holiday in the middle of a building site then you will get the picture of the surrounding area of the hotel.
The hotel has a mini bus service into the centre of Dubai which is also not suitable for the disabled or anyone with walking difficulties, it has one small step and one very large step (About 3ft high).
All in all a very good hotel, but it needs to do better to cater for the elderly, disabled or anyone with walking difficulties.

I have just returned from a 4 night stay, I treated my fiancé and son (12 yrs) for a long weekend of pure rest and relaxation.
We upgraded to superior sea view this is a must otherwise your view will be looking out on 'crane village'. The hotel was a delight to reach where they greet you with cold towels and fresh orange juice. A blessing when the evening temp. reached 84o. The rooms on the first floor have restricted views yes the sea is in the distance but no other like pool or garden view - you really need to request a room higher up like ours on 7th floor.
The restaurants we ate in were all accommodating with plenty of choice my son certainly didn’t starve (and he can be fussy). We found the bar an excellent choice of place to watch the world cup especially as they had a 2 hour happy hour perfect timing for the England v Ecuador game! My only grumble was they decided to stop this promotion the next day they said the management would not honour this deal whilst the world cup was running - shame as it did bring in the crowds and boosted the atmosphere. Do us Brits really drink that much?
The staff were extremely helpful, very clean and provided lifeguards at the pool and on the beach.
No more complaints we all had the best time ever and I recommend flying Emirates they really do treat you like royalty.
Give this hotel a try we meet friendly people here that are repeat customers of 30 years, we definitely will be going back perhaps for Xmas.

We arrived at the Oasis Beach Hotel straight from the airport at 07.50 hours knowing that our room may not be available until 14.00hours. The reception staff were waiting for us with a cool drink and a warm towel. They explained that there were no rooms available at this time but we could have access to our room as soon as possible. At 09.00 hours the receptionist came to find us in the dining room with our room key.
The hotel was very comfortable and spacious. The various themed dining rooms were excellent. The meals in the main dining room being specially prepared for you in cooking stations within the dining room. The staff were especially helpful.
The hotel is situated on the beach and there were plenty loungers and umbrellas available.
There is building work going on behind the hotel but this is almost finished. There was practically no noise from this work.
I have no hesitation in recommending the Oasis Beach.

It was an excellent break. We were taken care of, and we loved every single moment of it. From the Arabian nights theme dinners, to the long walks on Jumeriah beach, we highly recommend Dubai to everyone. Maybe next time, I will try the Burj Al Arab!
We would recommend that although the cheaper offers go in the summer, it is very hot there, so you are probably better off going in the winter months, its more bearable.
Buy your gold from Dubai and don’t be afraid to haggle!

This is Third visit to this Hotel, and it is in a great location.
We visited this Hotel three years in a row, and the first two visits were very special but the third, was a stark reminder of ' Benidorm' as, before, which was mainly adults. This time, the emphasis was on families and, many un-supervised Children both, British, and, French which were allowed to walk around the Dining room helping themselves from the Diner’s plates which, was a great laugh for the Parents.
The next , was the lilos in the pool which was banned the two previous years and, the football on the Beach which, was not in keeping with the area or type of Holiday that most of the Guests expected.
If this is the future trait for Dubai, then it is very sad for the Emirates who, try to give a first Class service to second class tourists

This was our 3rd visit to Dubai for a holiday - the first in July. We travelled with Emirates direct from Glasgow to Dubai International - flight was just superb, could not fault it in any way, good for kids we were travelling with a 10 and 7 year old.
The Oasis Beach is the only 4 star accommodation on the Jemuraih Beach - the others are all 5 star and above ! First class treatment in every way at the Oasis Beach from the checking in desk to the buffet breakfast and choice of buffet lunch or dinner. Kids just love the place, very child friendly and way beyond the UK version of 4 star without feeling uncomfortable. Temperature very hot during summer months - it’s the cheapest time to travel to Dubai as it’s the hottest ! But just remember everywhere is air-conditioned and not once did our kids complain of being too hot.
Dubai is the place to visit it has something for everyone - fab beaches, great shopping, loads of culture and most important a great feeling of safety. Give it 5 years time and it will be in competition with Florida. We been and done the Florida bit more times than I can remember - our last visit being 4 years ago - Dubai is the up and coming Florida but with style !
We are returning July 2005 to Oasis Beach direct with Emirates from Glasgow. What more could you ask for ?!

Dubai---what a place it is but more importantly what a superb place it will be. Five years down the line and lots of ground breaking (excuse the pun) development later you will be looking at the premium/exclusive/revolutionary place in the world.
When we were there we were amazed at the amount of building work but when you see the ideas they are realising you gasp and except the disturbance. From Underwater hotels to brand new palm shaped islands to new harbours (as in replacing earth with water) to a skiing mountain (yes in the desert) and the most breathtaking luxurious hotels the world probably has never seen before.
Our hotel Palm Beach was mid/low range but still excellent. Food, accommodation, grounds lovely. Great shopping, weather, beaches, friendly mixture of people, excursions, very clean and safe, lots of culture and a big step up from life in England.
We found the costs not much more than UK with certain things like gold, silver much cheaper. And the good thing is that all this is only a few extra hours flying then Tenerife (6 hours approx). Full marks to Dubai and it will keep getting better!!

The location on Jumeirah beach was absolutely awesome....The large variety of food places nearby meant you were spoilt for choice for meals (should you choose not to eat in the Thyme restaurant. The 4 bedroom apartment was extremely spacious and well laid out. The bedrooms were large and the beds very comfy. There was 7 of us staying and the lounge area and balcony were also adequate to chill and relax or go out and take in the view (or smoke). The service from the Hotel staff was also to a very high standard and all staff were helpful and polite throughout our stay. The buffet breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of choices including waffles and made to order omelettes. We were given one free lunch voucher (due to a minor delay in getting our room) and again the choices on the buffet lunch menu were more than adequate. The free shuttle to Jebel Ali Golf Resort gave access to a private beach however there were always taxis available outside when we needed. There is a free shuttle to the Emirates Mall which was also very handy. In the small shopping area within the complex there was a money exchanger which was very handy and a open till late supermarket round the back of the hotel again very convenient. Overall we had an excellent stay at the hotel and were very impressed.
