This is the third time I stayed at sunset bay twice as Timeshare and this time as rental. If you do not like a lot of noise I would advise to send a e-mail and ask not to be put in Block D. The apartments are of a reasonable standard and clean and tidy with a reasonable... more

I've just returned from a week in the Sunset Bay Apartments. I've been 'wintering' in Tenerife every year since 2004 but this was was my first time at these apartments and I have to say they are THE BEST that I have stayed in. They are clean (and believe me i'm a fussy... more

I have recently come back from a stay at Sunset Bay The rooms were clean apart from the Cockroaches running around the room and the complex at night. The onsite bars/restaurants were nice although a little expensive. But the area its self in Adeje (which is near Playa De... more

Before we set off to these apartments, I read the reviews posted and was absolutely terrified that we would be given an apartment which was not suitable for myself and 2 children, but I couldn't have been far wrong. We were allocated an apartment at Block J, a bit of a... more

Just returned from Tenerife - scratchcard people now desperate - have been tightly restricted in Arona (Los Cristianos) so infest Las Americas - in particular Puerto Colon was appalling. Our parents were ripped off by these people so my husband tried to warn some tourists... more

I bought a week in G block in 1985, and later 2 weeks in the same block, it was the best money ever spent. Love Sunset Bay, it´s like home from home, the apartments are always spotless clean, bedding and towels are changed daily and at times unnecessary, usually have a... more

I'll start with what was good - a nice size apartment, kitchen was well equiped and updated, very large balcony with nice view of the ocean. Good location - convenient to the beach and restaurants. Around town: the staff at the Wigins Arms were delightful and nothing beats... more

Not as good as last time
We stayed at Sunset Bay 28th Sept to 5th Oct. This is our third trip here and after having had such a good holiday at the bay the last time, we had the same high expectations for this holiday. Accommodation - We took our 16 year old daughter and friend this time and when we arrived was horrifed to find out we had been allocated a one bedroomed apartment. We complained about this but was told to speak to the tour rep the next day who would sort this out. To make matters worse the apartment was in G Block at the back of the resort on... more
We have renamed it Cockroach Bay
We stayed here in August for 2 weeks. We had a 2 bed in block D no air con and in need of renovation. We hada terrible problem with cockroaches in the rooms & balcony. There were loads crawling around every evening. We had them in our rooms every day. We informed reception, told them where they were coming from and asked if they could treat the area...they were not intersted at all. Standard of cleanliness around the resort was extremely poor. Reception advised all not to leave windows open due to break ins but... more
Knackered Hotel
Stayed here in June.Check in quick enough but hauling your luggage up two flights of stairs was the last thing we needed after travelling.Noise seems to echo throughout the block .Inside the apartment is adequate, double bed is ok for midgets.Cockroaches are also a problem as you have to clear them from your room and balcony every morning.Resort is very old and in need of a major refit and decoration.I feel very sorry for people who go to this resort every year. There were also 4 break ins during the first week we stayed that we heard of.Pubs... more
great location
I stayed at the sunset bay for 1 week in june and had a great time, although some apartments have a lot of steps you have great views of the sea and the beach is a 5 minute stroll past a selection of shops and resturants. The marina is just a few minutes away with high standard resturants you can eat whilst enjoying the sunset, we had 2 apartments next door to each other and the balconys were bigger than the apartments!! great for sitting out in the evening . Although we had no children in our party the had great childrens... more
Don't go here
We have just returned from sunset bay club in Tenerife. It was dissapointing to say the least. The main problem for me was the cockroaches on the balcony and in the room. The pool was dirty with scum floating on the top, especially late afternoon. The whole place could do with a complete overhall as the furniture was tired and worn and the complex itself lacked any atmosphere during the evening or day. We were also burgled on the second night there, we were asleep in the room at the time. Sunset bay was described as familly... more
very relaxing holiday
we have just returned from sunset bay .. we have been going there for years .. we have noticed over the years all the improvements to the resort .. the rooms are larger than you get elsewhere .. also great balcony,s for relaxing on .. the top pool is still a nice relaxing area while the bottom pool is more lively .. you are close to everything you need without being in the middle of it all .. there are plenty of bars , resturants & shops all withing easy walking distance .. the staff at the resort are as always very helpful .. we just cant... more
Wow
I must say I was a little apprehensive of staying at the Sunset bay Club after reading previous reports (security) However we had the most fantastic stay! The 1 bedroomed apartment had just been fitted with air con. The apartment was clean, light and modern and we had the best balcony overlooking the 2nd pool - it was virtually the size of the pool! The location was great and easy to get both into Playa des las Americas and adeje. The drinks and food were cheap in the local vicinity and there were two fantastic supermarkets close... more
Fantastic family location
Stayed here in Easter holidays. This is the 5th time we've stayed here, and have had a fantastic holiday every time. The resort is in a great location; close to beach, restaurants and other amenities. Security used to be a problem, but some new fences this year seemed to have helped. Despite being so close to Las Americas, it is a fairly quiet resort at night; good if you have young children. Our kids love to spend most of their time around the pools, and we have made some good friends with families who return every year.<br... more
nice complex but watch your valuables
had a lovely easter holiday in this complex, room was a good size and in clean condition, pool and bar area was very nice and every thing in the resort was in easy walking distance. the only problem we had whilst staying in this complex was that our room was broken into during the night whilst we were sleeping in our room!! some advice if you are thinking of staying at this complex is to check you windows lock properly and that you cannot lift them out whilst locked as ours did!!!! hire a safety deposit box, luckly we did and only lost a few... more
lovely complex
I went to this complex for two weeks in February. Weather wasnt too good, but the bars and restaurants on this complex were very welcoming and I still had a good time. I booked through (---) and janette their sales rep was really helpful - nothing seemed to be too much trouble.
