La Penita Apartments

Having read the reviews on La Penita we certainly weren't disappointed. These are the nicest apartments I have stayed in. Location wise they are ideal, the beach is about 10 minutes walk away but you don't even have to go that far as there are loads of smaller beaches right across the road from the apartments. The pool was huge with plenty of sunbeds to go around. May was a good time of year to go as there was no problem with towels! The apartments were very big with everything in them to include a coffee maker, microwave, kettle etc. The 1 bedroomed apartments were definately big enough for 3 people. There was a great pool side bar with plenty choice which is handy during the day if you don't want to move too far from your sunbed! Plenty of places to eat. When you come out of the apartments you can either go left or right, they are ideally situated. The staff at reception were lovely and very friendly and helpful. Eventhough it closed at 11 at night there was always a security man there. Puerto Del Carmen itself was great, you could make it as lively or as quiet as you liked depending on your taste. Chilly enough at night so bring a cardy! At least it was in May. I would highly recommend these apartments.

me and my family stay at ia penita for 2 weeks every cristmas we love it you could say it was 5 star lovely rooms pool and the staff are excellent. on cristmas day my 4 year old grandaughter got lost by the pool we were frantic the staff and other holiday makers couldnt do enough to to help us after 15 mins she was hiding. thank god and thankyou all the lovely people who helped in the search god blessyou all ill be back cristmas and every cristmas xxxxx

A superb accomodation. Great location on the middle of the strip set back from the main road. A huge pool, big rooms with separate bedroom and bathroom. Hob, microwave, kettle, coffee maker, fridge and a TV with English channels. Cleaned 5 out of seven days with three lots of clean towel changes and a sheet change on Wednesday. Lots of friendly, helpful staff, loads of sun loungers and a big poolside bar. Highly recommended. Belies its 2* rating. We got back today and have had a great time!

We have just returned from an Easter break at Lanzarote and unfortunately the weather really let us down.
I know you can't rely on the sun all year round but we did hope for a lot better than we got and we have been told the 'breeze' (wind) is well known all year round in Lanzarote, so my advice would be if you feel the cold easily avoid Lanzarote this time of year.
Due to the bad weather & trips being cancelled (due to lack of interest because of the weather) we had a poor holiday HOWEVER I do feel Lanzarote was a lovely place the apartments were very clean and the grounds kept well maintained. The staff were very friendly and helpful and if I was to ever return would definitely stay there. Great location with a 2min walk to the beach and main 'strip' for going out. (restaurants and bars - perfect) oh but I must add we had a room facing the beach and only a road away from the 'strip' yet at night not a sound bothered us and with a child too we weren't disturbed by any noise so this makes it an even better location imo.

Fantastic place to stay, right in the heart of Puerto Del Carmen. Only stayed here once but would go back for sure. Two adults and a two year old girl, we had a fantastic time here. The apartments are great, very spacious, clean and we had one facing the pool. We had a brilliant holiday here, hope to go back next year some time. Puerto Del Carmen is one of our favorite places.

Having visited lanzarote on 11 occasions i tried several appartments before i found this wee gem.
What can i say all comments you have read from others sums this place up.
OUTSTANDING you will not be disapointed here guaranteed.

We have stayed in the La Penita Apartments on previous holidays and will do so again in 2008 we all love it so much. We had the kids with us last time and they really enjoyed it. It is so central and close to everything.
The staff are just fab and are so so helpful, that makes a big difference to holiday makers to have friendly staff - thumbs up to all connected with the La Penita Apartments they deserve it. We will be back again in September with gods help because after staying there the first time I will stay no place else.
There was 8 of us altogether on our holiday in September 2007 and it was brilliant how we were all put in apartments very close to one another all on the one floor. Thank you all in the La penita for a memorable and wonderful holiday.

Just got back from Lanzarote, la Penita apartments. I have previously been to 3 other apartments at the resort and must state that these apartments are perfect in every way.
My wife and I will definitely be going back. We booked our holiday with Travel Republic, this was our third holiday with them and they are very helpful and keep you informed all the time.
Can’t wait to go again to Lanzarote and la Penita.

If you’re planning a holiday in Puerto Del Carmen I would definitely recommend these apartments. They are really clean and spacious and have everything you could possibly need for safe catering.
The staff are really friendly and there’s even a security guard at night so I felt very safe.
The pool is large but cold and the poolside area has lots of free sunloungers and umbrellas.
Holidayers are not meant to reserve loungers with their towels but everyone does! The best spot to sunbathe is near the front gates as you get the sun all day, but places are snapped up quickly. The pool bar is open from 9am-12am with food served until 6pm.
The food was extremely nice and well priced, and ideal for a whole day of sun worship by the pool.
The complex has internet access to keep in touch with home, and has a shower room available for use if you have a late flight home.
Out the front of the complex to the left is the mucky duck which is ideal for an English breakfast and to watch sport events on the TV.
The beach is 800m down the strip which has the beach one side of the road and pubs and restaurants on the other. You can get all types of foods, whatever takes your fancy. The strip is pretty lively, so if you fancy all night clubbing there’s plenty to keep you satisfied.
It’s definitely worth taking a trip to old town. There is a taxi rank just outside the back of the apartments. It cost 3 euro to get to old town to the harbour where you can enjoy a sangria watching the sunset. Its a lot quieter and the restaurants and views are stunning.

Just arrived home after 5th stay in La Penita. Never been disappointed with these apartments.
The rooms are larger than most apartments, very clean with everything you could need. Staff are very helpful and the position of these apartments are ideal. No hills, just a 30 seconds walk to the front.
Pedro, the entertainment manager, is great and keeps everyone happy but is not pushy.
Will be returning in March and again in September next year. Talking to people round the pool (which is super) most of them are regular visitors, returning year after year. Cannot recommend La Penita highly enough.
